  1. Stock cage or aftermarket cage, the argument could continue forever but the reality is that no amount of protection, signs, videos, warnings, etc. can or will suffice for every type of accident or Darwinesque move imaginable. Common sense must prevail. Thoughts and prayers to the friends, family and those involved in this lapse of judgement than can never be undone. Unfortunately, we're our own worst enemies when it comes to incidents like these as big brother and others that know what's good for us are ready and willing to pounce and write new laws in an effort to curtail our freedoms to keep us all safe from everything imaginable.

  2. Do you subscribe to Sand Sports? If not, why? I did a few years ago but didn't renew as the same articles seemed to be rehashed year after year What type of content would you like to see? More SxS's, budget rails and project cars the average guy can relate to. Any current content you don't like? Although the high dollar rails are nice to read about and look at I don't think they are realistic for a lot of duners.

  4. Yes I subscribe and to tell you the truth, I wouldn't change a thing about it. There's always a great balance of everything. I don't think offering a more-online friendly approach to content is needed. People like picking up the actual magazine and flipped pages while taking a deuce. Adam, as Bert stated, they have articles about different dune spots all the time. Duneguide.com would probably be of some interest to you if you've never checked it out.

  7. To each their own. I think it is a good thing. I see the guys training for this event and they were pumped to run it. They came in 5th for the men's division and 8th for the ladies. Their hard work paid off big time. So one day and some time of inconvenience is allowable in my book. Sure there can be some better info put out as far as how to park and respect others as they try to enjoy the same area. I am sure there are things here that others like and people here could care less about. That argument can do on for pages and pages. Bottom line is the event is planned out long in advance and in going to Dumont that weekend you took the chance of such an inconvenience.

  8. Key ingredient for me is the company. The dunes are. great and hauling @%# is fun but without great company its not a good trip. I've been fortunate for many seasons to surround myself with great people that have the same outlook as myself That's my opinion
