  1. I think what ynot suggested is your best bet, I bet they will get pissed that he is working on the side since trinity is pretty much by the book regarding service and may fix the problem...

On a side note, they are the worst company to get motor work done with, it's an inside joke in the drag racing cummunity about their 686 kits and their false claims on HP numbers regarding all their builds.

Allot of different avenues to go with if they say no, best bet is to get in running right unfortunatly with some more cash but I bet when you do you will forget about the sh*tty build from trinity..

Sounds like nothings changed since they first started building banshees!

  2. 95 banshee........

Override trans, 34 Mikuni's, 8 over swing arm, Olins front shocks, PEP rear, Chromoly sub frame, custom paint( kinda old with some cracks but will repaint in wanted) 7 paddle bead to bead haulers, front smoothies, CPI pipes with out stamping, Boss Intake, K&T Bowls, pingle valve, coll head w/18cc domes, RIS aluminum axle, lots of chrome.

This quad will keep up if not beat alot of stroked big bore bikes!!!!!!!

  3. I work full time at a bicycle shop here in S.B.

If your getting into "all mountain", then look at the Shimano XT Shadow components, they tuck in real nice. The SRAM stuff works great but has a tendency to hang low and snag on rocks and stumps. There are a few "X-O Alley's" here in S.B. where the trails are just SRAM graveyards.

Also, If thats the bike your looking at, get rid of those wheels ASAP, I can just see all kinds of problems trying to true those b*tches.

Good luck, Let me know if you have any questions, I'll be glad to help you out.

I have the Xc version of those wheels for almost 2 years, @215lbs. haven't had to true one yet.

  4. the power is not the problem iam 300 lb and the bike is in the 500 lb i need 1st gear it ran way better befor it broke but i was still out there running in 2 gear :MBdance: you know its good to have this 2 stroke 4 stroke thing it keeps the sport going .Yes it is :thumb: and wow the green raptor i think raptor roy was kicking same banshee a$$ with only 1 piston if it had 2 then what??? He would have 3 times my displacement. :P in the sand is the only place the 2 strokes run the big boys only run 4 strokes on the black top :P :?: :ahhhhh:

  5. man 4 mill are slow i did my share of beating them 2 stroke with one hand behind my back 1st gear was broke the day before the bike was alot slower then it was had to start in 2 gear all day but it was all fun it is funning that all the 4 cylinder quads are stock motors and all the banshee are built do remimber that if some one did not put a street bike motor in a quad you would not have a banshee the motor in a banshee was a street bike motor befor it was a quad motor rd 350 and rz350 wow then you have to build it to go any were

Drag Banshees don't have first gear they take it out to make room for the override. They make enough power to leave in second and not whine about it. :P

  6. Didn't Fireball do some big ol turbo, nitrous, prostock motor banshee awhile back? I heard they had some un- godly amount of money in it( like 80 grand). It did some fast mile an hour on the hill but the bigger banshee's still got to the top faster, and back then they didn't even have 24 mil. banshees. It make almost 500hp and they had to detune it to like 250 ish for it to work right. They had a pic in sand sports with INLANDS 14MIL ONLY A BIKE BEHIND IT (oops not yelling just hit caps.) You heard what the 20 mil. did to it so imagine what a 24 mil. would do to that big badass 4 stroke. All this talk about methanol, porting, dragframes, etc. I didn't hear once that the Gixer, busa, blah blah bikes have almost twice the displacement and two more pistons then the banshees. All the money in the world and it ain't worth squat without the knowledge. My little 370 banshee on alcohol with smoke 95% of the single cylinder n/a fourstokes out there and it'll even run down some small stroked Banshees and thats because it was set up right and it didn't take alot of money. It cost me $1400 bucks to do my motor with carbs. :P

  7. I don't know about using cheap grease. The Bell Ray is 42.00 for one grease tube. How much is the stuff you are talking about?

Hey mike, you gotta mix Swepco with the Bel-Ray or it turns into clay. like 75% BR and 25% Swepco. Too much swepco and it'll run out of the boot. Ran this way 4 seasons on the same CV's with only minimal wear when I changed em out. It's what all the racers use. I'm tryin something different now, forgot the name, been happy so far, I'll check the can and it's only 12 bucks a tube. Alot of the Funco guys swear by it.

  8. Ya i know it was you! He has them on his myspace now i guess lol. Ya no walking for 8 weeks...kinda hard to run his bus now, his wife pretty mad to say the least....No he doesnt think your a wierdo

That's funny, he was more worried about his wife being mad then his 2 broken ankles. And yes she is a weirdo.

    Just kidding Karen :P

  9. so happy he is on the good road to recovery.

tore me up to watch you helping with the back board on the hill randy. you showed some great emotional strength. glad to have all of you in my dune family.

the EMT's and LEO's were all very professional. and it was great to see they had the equipment (sandrail with litter attached) to make it a swift rescue. thank you!

Ditto, you held it together, made me proud to have you as a friend!!

  10. What a weekend. :banghead:

Chadwick, Steveo & I weren't able to get out there till Fri night. We weren't as fortunate as those who were able to make a week out of it, but we were stoked just to make it out.

When I pulled into camp Chad noticed a hissing noise from one of my trailer tires. I picked up a nice big ol' nail in the sidewall. Great! :banghead:

After unloading Steveo was anxious to check out the new car so we went and assasinated a few people at comp. :beer_bang:  Man, I love this new car. We were havin a blast messing around that night.

Unfortunatley our first run on Saturday happened to be one of our last runs for the weekend. It was a great group ride with the crew. We had a huge line of cars and a few bikes tearin it up. Then we headed over to comp and hung for a bit. Randog & I messed around for a little bit on and behind comp and then came back. We were all chillen at the base of the hill. Painterjoe & I were bs'ing about the next ride and then he took off up the hill to head back to camp. He turned around at the top of the hill and came back. He informed us all that Chris (grimace) ate chit up at the top in the big ditch/ hole up there. Chris was jammin up comp on the right side in his VW rail and thought he was going to dodge the ditch. He knew it was there, but misjudged how long or wide it went. He lawndarted right into the other side of it coming to a very hard, abrupt stop and spun around landing down in the ditch. He was in lots of pain and couldn't feel his legs or feet. It tore me up to him like that. He was then evacuated safely thanks to all his friends and the BLM/ rescue crews. He was put on the BLM rescue buggy and life-flighted out to UMC trauma.

He went into surgery that night. His L1 ruptured (or burst) and fragments of bone went into his spine. What the doctors told us sounded very bad. LUCKILY everything went very very well in surgery. He has regained feeling & movement in his knees and legs. He still can't feel the tops of his feet, but we all expect that to come eventually. He is in GREAT spirits and should recover 100% after a while.

The rest of the weekend was pretty chill for everyone in camp. Randog split to go to Vegas to be with his bro and everyone else just kinda waited it out to hear the updates. We still managed to have a good night cooking up some good grub and sharing some laughes with each other.

Sunday we just split in the morning since we all had to get back early that day due to many things going on. It was still fun to get out there and be with all our great friends and see everyone, but MAN....I am ready for a quiet, off weekend with hardly anyone or anything going on. I took very few pics, but I have a few decent ones I will post up later.

Thanks for the update on Chris. Whitney told us he's already working from his cell phone :booty: . Actually I didn't even see him at the top, I went over, my friend Steve is the one that saw him and dropped off another friend Steve who is a volunteer for the Ski Patrol in Big Bear. He stayed with Chris while the other Steve went back down the hill. When I didn't see Steve follow I got a bad feeling :(. Like you said it tears you apart when you see one of your friends like that. But it's great to hear he's doing well.

  11. I had someone that I could get the intake from. I can't turn mine around as it will hit the radiator. I also need to concentrate on paying off my new 2d before do anything else. I think this summer will be the new heads.

    Money well spent
