  1. Ummm, a friend of mine :D recently experienced frozen pipes in his hauler..........does ne1 have a suggestion to safely remedy my...I mean HIS problem? (It should be noted that his home state has been experiencing abnormally cold weather, so dont blame him too much)

I saw some guy at Camping World buying something for that today. We just got our TH yesterday and they suggested putting antifreeze in the sinks and stuff. We're getting 15 - 34 degree temps here in Henderson this weekend!!! Yikes!!!

  2. alright kids all out of the camper and take some pics

Here's some pics ouside our house. I took a couple inside the rig, but only one came out kind of clear! We opted to get recliners instead of the dinette because it takes up so much space. This isn't a normal option, but we talked Cal's into taking them out of a 5th wheel and we paid to have them replaced. We have to get airbags for the truck. We wanted to see how it sat, but it squats the back end a little bit and with it loaded, it could get worse!!!

  3. Enjoy! Have a "dry" run camp in the driveway before yyou hit the dunes. Can save you some frustration. It's a little redneck, but it saved me.

We had it out last night in front of our driveway. We'd play with it today, but my husband has to work!! :happydrunks:

  4. Yeah - we finally made a decision today on the TH. We're taking delivery this Saturday on the Raptor 3018 TT in the black onyx interior. Cal's had it in stock and made us a great deal on it! We liked their service and follow up, esp compared to the red barn dealership out here. So, we made it final! YEAH!!!!

  5. the raptors are super sweet trailers, but they have a fatal flaw, at least in the bigger 5vers.

the heater drains the crap out of the batteries. raptors drain batteries quick

even with the 2 6 volt setups, ALL of the raptor owners that I know complain of the batteries dying quickly. some have gone to running 6, 8 and 10 6 volts, in banks of 2 in series to combat this problem. they do this by utilizing the storage compartment for the batteries.

Thanks for the info. We're going to look at the WW and Raptor tomorrow.

  6. I think I saw your truck this morning on the freeway. I heard a honk and someone waved. It was on Summerlin Pkwy near Buffalo. I was in my white lifted F250.

It might have been my husband, if he was running an errand for work. But he usually doesn't go out to that area. He works near the Spaghetti Bowl.

  7. Get the Raptor! We are going back in 3 weeks!!!!

    Don't forget the paddles!

Call me if you need help.

    PB.

    Another Rule:

Don't let your friends make fun of you, while you're getting a ticket! The sheriff will for sure write you up!!!

And... it's cool to have everything you wear and everything on your quad match - a marketer's dream!!!

And... you can never have too many hoodies!!!!

You're funny! I couldn't figure out at first who this was because I mentioned nothing in my post about the Raptor! Now we're not too sure if we're going to get a TH with a garage because Mark's serious about getting a Rhino! I searched the internet - Painter's doesn't have a website - darn!!! I'll call them and see what brands they carry. So, we're going to look at what else is out there. We're considering a Weekend Warrior LE Fifth Wheel. They're about the same price as the Raptor.

Thanks for a fun weekend!!! :idiot:

  9. does anyone know how the two guys are doing that crashed at comp hill on quads saterday afternoon

Our friends saw the crash. Said it was pretty crazy. We were camping over by the Sheriff's near the entrance. We saw Mercy Air fly in and fly someone out about an hour or so after the crash.

Our friend was involved in a crash on her quad with a 2 wheeler on Friday. She was hurt, but not too bad. Apparently, the guy that crashed into her was worse off - not sure if he went to the hospital.

My husband was playing with one of the kid's quads in our little cirle at camp. He and another guy at our camp got a ticket for riding a quad without a helmet - STUPID TICKET!!! They were just playing around, going about 3-4 miles an hour inside our camp area. The sheriff checked all the bikes at camp for OHV stickers. We had them on our quads, but no one else had their's on the bikes. She didn't cite them for the tickets, but we have to pay $50 for the helmet ticket. What makes me mad is that their were all kinds of people sailing past their camp way over 15 MPH and closer than 50 feet. And some people were riding around at night without lights on. Oh well, at least it's only $50. LESSON - DON'T PARK NEAR THE SHERIFF'S AREA!!!!

  10. Contact THESE people, You can get a direct fit muffler replacment, AND if you choose, a CAT delete pipe, ALL bolt on all, 4 inch replacment, no changing our already 4inch turbo to tip exhaust, gOOD lUcK, Happy New Year...

Thanks!!! I'll give this to my hubby!

  11. The exhaust I upgraded to was the Banks Cat Back system. It is a full 5" setup with a high flow muffler. It didn't add too much noise at all. It just gives it a slight bit of tone- not alot of racket though to rack your brain :thumb: . Gas trucks tend to be louder when you add an exhaust system more than diesels.

My Father Inlaw has Banks on his truck. I can't remember the name of the brand my husband likes.

  12. i wouldnt dream of standing in the way of a man on toy quest however modifing the cummins is a waste of money, but you dont need it .the truck is bad a$$ ,best of the best !!!! you could buy a trick exhaust on your quad ,or up options on the new hauler. money better spent .your cummins can handle it baby !!!! oooo yaaaa .and my truck still wants a date with that p.y.t. dodge :laughoff:

We'll be out at Dumont tomorrow thru Monday. I don't know where we're camping, but I think it'll be to the left, in front of the big dunes. We'll be camping with some friends in their big Rampage TH with red graphics.

    :thumb:

  13. Most new diesels are 4" stock too. My DMax was. And it's not a matter of needing to modify it. :laughoff:

I pulled my 34 ft toyhauler with my D Max no problem at all stock. I never NEEDED to modify it, but adding an exhaust helped for towing. More is always better. :thumb:

I have yet to meet a guy to this day that said they didn't want more power regardlesss if thay had a Ford, Chevy, or Dodge. :angry2:

So, if he were to upgrade his exhaust, what would he upgrade to??? Sorry, I'm a chick - don't know much about trucks and exhausts. All I know is that on his last truck, a Ram 1500, the upgraded exhaust was noisy!!!

    :driver:

Good to know - I'll definitely tell my husband this. He was asking people who have Fords & Chevys. They told him changing out the exhaust would help with fuel economy.

    :thumb:

  15. yes..do exhaust first, then programmer if you decide to after.

Exhaust will help cool your exhaust temps which in turn makes more power :laughoff: . If you program it first you will raise your EGT's real quick with stock exhaust.

My husband was looking at getting the programmer and the exhaust together. Now, he's thinking of just getting the exhaust! Men are so expensive!! LOL!!! :thumb:

  16. i put the edge chip on mine stage 4 and 5 worked there was no power difference in the other settings

i sent mine back it runs better dont bel;ieve the hype keep it stock it doesnt need it

and my stock dodge pulls at 80 just fine....................

Did you upgrade your exhaust??? Yeah, I told my husband to call my cousins who tow TH's, horse trailers, etc. They said getting the exhaust was more important than the programmer itself. I think the guys at the 4 wheel parts place are just looking to get another sale.
