  1. You don't need one, but they do help. It depends on the type of programmer you get, but regardless you'll want to install an EGT (Exhaust Temp Gas) gauge and an exhaust system. With any programmer and towing, you'll want to moniter your temps because more fuel=more heat.

What size toyhauler are you getting? ...regradless your Dodge should be able to tow it just fine unless you like to tow going 80 mph like some people I know. :driver::thumb::laughoff:

Note: numerous off topic posts set to insivible due to thread hijack.

We're looking at the Raptor 299MP FW. Yeah, my husband said he'd probably change out the exhaust first and then look to maybe getting a programmer in the future.

  2. Do any of you use a programmer n your truck to help tow your stuff? My husband is being told by a couple people that it would be a good idea to have one, but it's like $2000+. Anyway, just thought I'd get some feedback.

  3. So, I took my hubby to look at the Raptors yesterday. I wanted to show him the 3018 TT. He fell in love with the 299MP FW. So, now we're looking at how we can get the thing to fit with our lifted truck. My dad said they'll have to jack up the back a bit, so it's not tilting back. We'll probably need airbags, too. Anyway, it's super cool. Has a little slide out and a garage. We said we would never get a garage, but we liked it so much. Plus, we can house the dog crates in the garage and they won't be in the way. That was one reason why I didn't want the 26 ft TT in WW. Anyway, we'll find out either tonight or tomorrow how much it'll cost us out the door and hopefully get it ordered! My dad has one in green, but I like the black onyx interior instead.

I wish we had it for this weekend!!! We'll still be out in Dumont with our friends in their TH!

  4. Sunrise Boat and RV Storage on East Lake Mead and Sloan (near Hollywood) was the cheapest place I could find to store mine before I moved into my new place. I was paying $69 a month for an uncovered space. All the places I looked at in Hendo were too much money.

Thanks for the info. I was hoping to get a covered spot. Do you have a cover for your RV?

  5. I live in henderson and finding storage for my ww 37' toyhauiler was very difficult. I had a covered spot for my 33' TH and it was 149. a month. I have the new one in a uncovered spot that has a very large front opening so its easier to back in for 89. a month BUT i was on waiting listes for a 1 1/2 years so if you can find one to fit your unit grab it! What size did you end up getting?

We still haven't purchased a TH yet. My dad sells them in AZ, so we're looking to see what he has and what he can get us. We're also looking at the WW FS2600 & FSC2800.

  6. A buddy is looking to buy 2 Honda Rincon quads and after talking to the dealers in Vegas and St. George he is all fed up with the crap and the deal was how much over MSRP!

Anyone have a connection or idea where he can buy 2?

We bought my hubby's Yamaha at Parker Yamaha (but I believe they still carry Honda's too). He got his Raptor for much less and his friend bought 2 quads from them, as well. When we bought my Honda, we got a quote from Parker Yamaha & a quote from the internet. We printed the stuff off the internet and went to the Honda Dealer off Boulder Highway. We dealed with them on a 400EX. I think we got them down to $5900 out the door (which was a match from the internet). Then, they said they'd sell us the TRX450R for $6800 out the door (tax included), so we bought it! My cousins paid over $8000 for the same ATV. Parker Yamaha was going to sell us the 400EX for $300 less, but that didn't include tax (and it was worth not having to drive all the way to Parker either).

  7. I'm looking for storage places in the SE area of Las Vegas. We live near the 215 and the 95. We've got one place by our house that we can enter 24/7 and the cost is about $135 a month. However, they're limited to 30 ft max. We used to store our boat there. I was looking to see if other places allow longer lengths and at what cost.

    Thanks!!!

    :jester:

  8. More... I did a google search for Gas powered blender. There are many more than I thought available.. I just might need to get one of these!

Cool, but crazy looking!!! I remember seeing gas powered blenders at a Jimmy Buffett concert a long time ago. I always thought they were cool!!!

  9. check out headinjury over at glamisdunes .com. his name is shawn

    the dude rocks

a few hundred people swear he is the shizzle for the lowest prices ANYWHERE on WW products

yes, he is in CA, but are you willing to drive 3 hours to save THOUSANDS????

That's funny. I emailed him, but haven't heard back from the guy. Maybe he's off for the holidays. Do you have a WW? Did you buy from him?

  10. We got the two queen beds in the back, billet edition, the kicker stereo, the inverter, the dinnet (spell) instead of the captains chairs option, the outside grill, We did not get the two 20 inch TV's for 960.00 we bought two of our own for $200.00. I think the only things we did not get were the add a room and the screen door, oh and the wheel ramps.

We love it, I can put 5 bikes in there all on their wheels, none standing.

Sounds nice. I really like the billet edition.

  11. an rv mat is good, or you could get some astro turf. it helps from people tracking sand/dirt into the trailer....alot. as far as luxury items... i got a gas powered blender for my birthday this year.

That's cool. Where do you get a gas powered blender??? That's something my hubby would think was cool!!

  12. i have a 32ft WW billet edition and love it...got it at Giant rv in Cali. if you are even thinking about getting the kicker stereo, do it. you can't even buy the components for what the upgrade charge is. i have the upgrade and love it. the billet edition is pretty nice upgrade too...the grey hides alot of dirt. good luck with your purchase

Yeah, I love the billet edition. It's really nice and clean looking. How does your 32 ft tow behind your vehicle? Do you have any problems with it???

  13. lets see we have under storage so we bought plastic containers for misc. coleman fold down grill collapsable picnic table definately check out camp world for all that stuff .as for cleaning i use the good old rv ext. brush good old green hose and gel gloss rv wash . stuff works great .

Ok, I'm thinking about taking back the power washer and getting something else for my hubby. His buddy mentioned something about new Craftsman tools that are titanium blue (he loves blue). So, off to Sears today!!

  14. Thanks dear, but I can add to that. :P

I had to buy queen size sheets, since I had never owned a queen bed before. Oh, the BEST investment was one of those 'pillow top' mattress pads for our bed, very comfy!! I know it may sound silly, but I loaded pillows from the house and replaced them with new.

Like Davey said, I started collecting utensils, from steak knives to scissors, so I didn't have to worry about loading the can opener every trip. I have dish towels and bath towels (again, older ones from the house, nothin' fancy or expensive) that are designated for the hauler, LOL, wash and return. I always keep plenty of paper plates, cups, napkins, paper towels, and plastic utensils on board and keep a list posted on my little bulletin board for when it's time to re-up. And don't forget batteries! I keep a mini tote of all sizes for the flashlights, gameboy, etc.! I even have dishsoap, toothpaste, t-brushes, and shampoo just for the trailer. The way I see it, the less I have to haul on and off every trip the better!

I'm lucky, we used to sleep on a queen and have 2 extra bedrooms with a queen. Lots of queen sheets!! I asked for new utensils and knives for Christmas, so I can put my old stuff in the TH. I love paper plates!!!

  15. we are going for new years just wanted to see who all will be there. how busy do you think it will be? would like to meet some of the DDR peeps

    post-557-1165374882.jpg

If you see us stop and say hello

We're going with our friends from Friday to Monday. Should be fun. I'm kind of glad to hear that it's not as crazy there as T-Day and Prez Day. Although, it's fun to watch people on busy weekends (not so much fun to ride with the crowds). I have no idea where we'll camp. I like being near the big dunes on the left, but it's our friends that are bringing the TH, so they get to decide.

    :finger_smiley:

  16. I was looking at some items to get for the toy hauler (when we get one). I've bought a few things at Costco, but I was wondering what items everyone else bought that they could (or could not) live without. I got this cool power washer. I thought it would be neat to use to wash the trailer - and to clean our driveway and house windows, too. How does everyone wash their toy hauler???? I got a few cool things so far like stuff for the kitchen, sleeping bags, emergency lights, etc. I have to look in my hubby's poratble tool box, too to see what he has and doesn't have!!! Any ideas would be GREAT!!!

    :finger_smiley:

  17. Not sure how much a gallon of water weights or even gas but it took me about three or four trips to Dumont from Vegas before I realized I could fill up my trailer when I got there in Baker. What a difference towing!! So if you are going somewhere you are familiar with fill your fresh water tank and/or gas tank up when you get there. Same thing when leaving.... DUMP!! (not in the dunes)

Isn't gas more expensive in Baker???
