Great news on the pavement, hope they do more then grade it. They need to roll it to make it smooth and last. It would also be another great way for BLM to make some quick cash. Pick a good hiding spot like the CHP does and start writing speeding tickets. $$$$$

Lets see everyone has to buy a green sticker every two years. I would guess that there is 400,000 people in the high desert (Hesperia, Victorville, Apple Valley) and thats conservative. I personnel have four vehicles and on the average (per my street) every house has at least 1 OHV, so lets say 100,000 green sticker vehicles in the high desert. CHA CHING = 2.2 million dollars every two years. Thats just three little towns. I know everyone will say not everyone has a green sticker, probably true but anyone that lives up here knows the town is full of dirt bikes. So 100,000 is very conservative. So class if we estimate 25 million people in Ca. and we estimate 25% own bikes that comes to 6.25 million people which comes to $$$137.5 million dollars every two years. Green sticker money is for keeping trails and BLM land maintained. Ask DMV where thats going?

Coroner case #06-9579TC - 06-9581TC -- On 12-10-06, at 6:02 PM, The San Bernardino Sheriff Department received several telephone calls from motorists on Interstate 15 reporting an explosion and fire on a hillside east of the interstate approximately two miles south of the Oak Hills exit in the Cajon Junction area (Near the top of the Cajon pass). The investigation revealed that a Mercy Air helicopter was flying back to the Victorville Airport (Mercy Air base) when it collided with the hillside. The personnel on board were identified as Pilot Paul LaTour, a 46 year-old resident of Apple Valley, Air Medic Jerald Miller, a 40 year-old resident of Apple Valley and Registered Nurse Katrina Kish, a 42 year-old resident of Yucaipa. All three were confirmed deceased at 6:27 PM. The National Transportation Safety Board, FAA, San Bernardino Sheriff Department as well as Mercy Air Aviation Personnel are investigating the incident. The Coroner Division will be conducting autopsies to determine the exact cause of death.
