  1. My friend did it and it printed fine and they got the free food. I tried it and it said "sorry you've already printed the amount of coupons offered" but I haven't printed any and neither has anyone in the home so no free chicken here
  2. Gees Jason which DMV did you go to? Nate had to go to the one on 'F' street yesterday and almost went postal on one of the testers.
  3. The picture of the plastic stripper shoe is classic and your right....typical Bakersfield
  4. The car absolutely isn't in her name. Years ago (18) when I was pregnant with my first son I went there to apply for medical (not welfare) I only needed the insurance and was promptly told NO due to I had a car in my name but the case worker was nice enough to tell me how to cheat the system and told me to change the car into someone elses name for a while. wtf?? There were a bunch of guys standing right in front of the front door smoking weed and I told the security guard as I went in and he said "what do you want me to do about it?" That place is a joke, if you are a honest person just in need of some temporary help you dont get it but if you like living off the system and sit home popping babies out and spending money you didn't even earn on dope and upgrading to gold teeth :B then they just hand it to you. Yeah I know I'm a little bitter about this subject.
  5. Jason I know money and clothes is probably most important right now but do you know if they are in immediate need of anything else right now? Specifics that maybe they don't want to waste the first part of their ins. money on, like blow dryer, razor, backpacks for school, toiletries, anything as little as it might sound. Please post if they are needing anything specific that they have not received. BTW our prayers are with them and glad everyone got out safely (except dogs ) a truly sad situation. The friends of ours that lost their home only got out with the wifes purse so they were in need of everything, so no matter how small it sounded when you have to replace it for husband/wife/& kids it starts to add up.
  6. Oh wow that really sucks!! Jason make sure you post this on the Kamp Rats site also since they are all mostly local maybe some of them can help immediately. We had some friends lose their house 2 days before Thanksgiving last year and by the time everything paid off the house was rebuilt better than the first one but the initial $5000 that the ins. co. gives to help get you a place to live and some clothes doesn't go very far when you have nothing to start with. Jason you might want to post their kids ages/sizes, I'm sure someone will have some clothes & toys to pass down.
  7. Last week we switched from Farmers to AAA, savings of over $1200 a year. 05' Chevy 4x4 diesel 07' BMW 328i 00' Acura Integra 08' Kawasaki Ninja 06' Sandpiper Trailer
  8. Yeah they had to get creative and throw thier own spin on the name. But it was damn good!! But then I had already had two margarita's too so everything was tasting good by that point.
  9. We were wanting to camp at Morro Bay for the weekend but one son is playing his first soccer game of the season today and oldest son signed up to be a ref and is reffing two games today. So it looks like we're going to dinner tonight and getting a pazookie (big cookie w/ice cream) and celebrate mine & my youngest sons birthdays, then the rest of the weekend will be spent also cleaning the backyard, pool filters, and any other "honey do's" that I can think of.
  10. It's very distasteful. But I think most newspapers are. In June my brother was found dead in a field (drug overdose & heat exposure) and the local newspaper published a photo of him with sheriffs and paramedics standing around. It was very disturbing to say the least, that's not the last image of my brother that I or my family wanted to see. I wrote a letter to the editor and photographer of the newspaper but I got no response of course.
  11. Felt here in Bakersfield. Not too bad, but still felt.
  12. Someone did this to our yard and a neighbors yard a few years ago. They stuck plastic forks and knives in the lawn and tried to TP the place but apparently it didn't go so well cause we still have about 24 un-rolled rolls of tp in the garage. They even let the bag and receipt from the dollar store where they made thier purchase. We made the teenage son clean it up since we figured it was probably someone he knew that did it anyway.
  13. My husband did this with a lady from Jehovahs Witness. She started coming back about once a month just to talk about the bible with him, I think she just enjoyed having someone that could challenge her about the bible. Funny as hell though when he would correct her and show her how she was wrong. After about 6 mos. she stopped coming by.
  14. We'll be camping/riding at Pismo... woo hoo can't wait!!
