  1. hey isbb, did we forget to lift up the rear jack stand before the lights were hauled out of the dunes? :beercheers:

i noticed when i picked it up the rear jack stand was posted up against the front jack stand. :beerpint: no big deal, i just told them that when i left their yard with the tower the jack stand wasn't locked down and fell and broke off. :mc_smiley:

  2. Im bringing a generator for sure. As far as fuel for the light towers, dont they run on diesel? From what I read on the United Rentals website they also have extra outlets on them, and they are around 12KW.

this has been confirmed, the light towers do run on diesel, not sure about the extra outlets though. i am picking up the second one saturday morning and will be leaving my house between 4 and 5. see everyone out there.

  3. You can! :monkeedance2: PM me, I can help you.

Chuck which set of lights are you talking about? 1BADYFZ already has the first set lined up. :freakin_nuts:

oops my bad. i read the post wrong. :rockwoot: i think we should be able to raise $230 no problem with all of the people who are supposedly going.

i have a united rentals about 5 miles from my house so i will get with 1badyfz and see what he can do about having his buddy hook me up with the hesperia branch and see if they have lights to rent for that day. if they do i will go rent them asap.

  4. ill throw in some $$$$ for lights.

i just got parts in for my turbo banshee....she better run :monkeedance2:

sweet man, when we find out exactly what is giong on with the other set of lights, we will let everyone know. then we can see how much people want to pitch in.

  5. I know Kip will be there.. not sure about Craig

I can meet up with you at your house and then head out from there. Do you need me to pitch in for anything?

    craig sucks. :D

sounds like a plan. we can meet up at my house at around 5:30 or 6 and head out from there.

since you mentioned it there are these webs for sale that i want. :monkeedance2:

  6. Comp hill as of Saturday AM was smooth but a little whooped out still at the bottom and then also at the top. I'd say Banshee hill will be the better of the hills for drags, IMO.

I'll chip in on the lights. Maybe we can set up a paypal link for everyone to donate maybe? Just a thought.

Comp was actually really smooth, so either hill would be cool. I checked out Banshee Hill while we were out there and the starting line was real rocky so we would have to clean it up a little.

I think the paypal link is a good idea. Or I can split the cost with you Pete on the second set. If people want to help pay us back they can or not.

I am not sure if I have a United Rentals around where I live, but if there is I can tow them out. At least until the deep sand and then someone will have to take over. DAMN 2WD!!!

  7. HAHA, I've known Chuck since we were knee high to a grasshopper. He's a real A Hole, but the money he pays me to be his friend pays for my sand addiction. Besides, his Mom wears combat boots to go with :rockwoot: her mullet.

    that's funny :shocked2: right there :D

  8. Don't worry CHuck, we'll have cold beers to cool us off. We'll get to try your new six pack rack. :shocked2:

no need, i tested it last night. me and your mom went for a cruise on the bike, drank some beers from the six pack rack cooler, and the rest is history.

  9. Weather isn't gonna be as hot as I thought it was going to be! :D

    SAT AM

    5am Clear 89°F

    6am Sunny 90°F

    7am Mostly Sunny 92°F

    8am Mostly Sunny 95°F

    9am Mostly Sunny 100°F

    10am Mostly Sunny 105°F

So this means at about 9/ 9:30 we're gettin the hell out of there after some good riding.

looks good pete. me and randy will be out there about midnight on friday night to get some night riding in before the morning ride. any idea what the weather will be like then?

  10. Lucky for you i dont consume a 12 pack on the trip out there... If we showed up relatively after dark 90% of us would still be sober enough to put one up.. Plus you would leave it attached to the truck.. or close to it..

yep, lucky for me. :D thanks for all of this useful info. :redhat:

  11. i know on the glamis rides we usually show up around 9-10ish.. its still warm then.. but whenever is cool w/ me.. the lights arent hard to setup... drag em in place fire em up and crank it verticle.. whoopdie do i think we can do that in the dark.. :D

depends on how many you've had to drink by then. don't want one of those light towers to fall on you.

  12. :hello: :redhat: Cool! :D

What time do you guys think is a good time to get out there? 7/8 ish? At 8:00 it's like 100 deg lately. That's pretty bearable if the sun is down. :fro:

maybe a little before sundown. that way the lights can get set up and whatever else need be while it is still light outside. when the crowd rolls in at dark time it will be ready to go.

  13. I'll be there. I am open to either hill. I prefer comp, but doesn't matter that much to me. I just wanna go have some fun. :redhat:

you hit it on the head pete. i will be there for sure. :laughoff:

either hill as long as there is plenty of beer and good times. :fro: :slap::hello:

i will be down to throw some roosts up against you pete. :thumb::hello::coocoo:
