  1. Would someone please answer this question!
  2. Why would he be dumping his fresh water tanks if they were going into Dumont? Unless I read the 1st post wrong isn't that what they were doing?
  3. Thank you so much for doing what you do for our Country! Congrts.
  4. That is just plain NASTY! Why would anyone do something like that? Because of people like that it gives the tree huggers more reasons to shut Dumont down. Hope they get what is coming to them.
  5. Last night my son and I went to watch the powder puff football game between the Jr's & Sr's. Jr's won. Came home and watched some TV and checked out DDR. Today did some running around. Came home baked some cookies and watched some TV and of course now checking out whats new on DDR. Tomorrow sleeping in! Then doing some laundry and getting ready for another work week.

I checked out GD and DDR. I was really confused by GD and felt that if you weren't in the click you weren't welcome. I was on DDR and reading for a long time before I joined, lots of info and people made you feel welcome. I really appreciate all of the work everyone does to make it a place to go to find out about the greatest place to ride. Thank you DDR! :wedgie: !
  11. I am so happy about this, the ride in the Motorhome will be so much easier. When you come in on the busy weekends people will not be able to go fast because there is a line to get in. Thank you everyone that made this possible. :wedgie:

  13. We love it at Katherines Landing , spend some time at the river. Hope to go to Pismo where it will be cooler to ride with the big kids and grandkids.
  14. A few summers ago all of us went to Lake Perris for the day, my oldest son brought his boat out there. We all got in and went for a little ride when all of a sudden we saw some smoke comming out of the engine area. My Daughter-in-law starts throwing life jackets at everyone and is ready to jump overboard before we even stop. We stopped checked it out found out what was wrong and fixed it and decided to head back to the island and packed up to head home. Well, we are all in the boat and heading toward the lauch area and my son says the steering is getting harder and he keeps turning the steering wheel when all of a sudden the steering wheel comes off in his hands. I started laughing and could not stop, he was so pissed and kept telling me "it's not funny Mom we are stuck out here"! We got the oar out and started paddling and got near the marina and one of those little metal rental boats comes out and tows us to the dock at about 2 miles an hour. We were afraid the little boat was going to sink the bow was way up in the air. Needless to say the boat went right into the shop. He still doesn't think it is funny but the rest of us do, we laugh about it all the time.
  15. Glad that you are going to rethink doing it. The explosions look neat but not worth the risk.
  16. Hi, I am new to DDR, I have visited your site often to see what was going on and get updates on things. But I joined tonight because I needed to say something to protect others. On Sat. night we were getting ready for dinner, starting a fire and having a good time when we had a explosion in our fire and in a split second our night turned into terror. There was pieace of wood that was a 2x4 about a foot long flew out of the fire and hit my husband in the throat and cut it open missing his trechea about 16 of a millimeter. My oldest son caught his Dad before he hit the ground and and called one of his friends to help. The 2 of them applied pressure and kept him alive until the paramedicits got there. He lost pulse 2 times and they got him back. When we got to the sherrif station the helo was there waiting to transfer Omar (the boy that died when he flipped over his quad) but they took my husband instead. He was taken to UMC in Vegas and was in surgery about 2 hours. He has stitches inside and 11 staples on the outside. He was released from the hospital on Mon. morning and we headed back to CA. It was one of the worst nights of our lives. He is lucky because he remembers nothing, the rest of us remember way to much. I know that gas bombs are cool to look at but they are not worth the danger. There will never EVER be one in our camp again. Just had to get that off my chest and maybe it will have people stop and think about what happened before they do one. I want to public thank my son Kyle, his friend Brett for saving my husband Kep. You guys are awesome! Our whole family would like to extend our sympathizes to Omar's family. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.
