  1. Maybe with everyone complaining about the situation, someone can step up and get some money going for a medic rail out there. Hell, there are definately enough people out there on a busy weekend with money to donate. I dont quite get how they cant afford it though, with $40/vehicle on a holiday weekend and tons of vehicles out there, some money mismanagement has to be going on somewhere.
  2. To be honest, I dont care for anyone camping within 100yds of any dunes out there, even the finger dunes. I see thier roped off areas though and just dont ride near them. As far as all of the problems you guys seem to have with other people, maybe its because you camp near the finger dunes. I noticed it was really crowded over there, with sometimes not even enough room between circles to ride through on my bike. The far left, near bathroom 9 is a whole lot better, and while it takes a bit longer to get to the dunes, having some peace and quiet and space is more important to me. Just my $.02
  3. I know... My friend was wearing a shirt, just telling a story of how my buddy managed to climb one of the dunes too, but I think he was a bit quicker with it.
  4. I heard they were filming a show for CourtTV (TruTV now), similar to that Ocean Force show they have.
  5. I never post, but one of my friends busted a master link on his YZ250f, and walked to the top of the hill to the left of comp right where that Bronco rolled. Actually right about the same time... He ended up flagging down some really nice guys with a Rhino to take him back to camp and get us, and watch his bike. We ended up getting him fixed after towing him and his bike back with a long travel rail.
  6. I hate to say it - but this is a big reason I don't feel safe at the dunes. I've found that very few rails actually watch where they are going, and being on a bike, I have to watch everything, since it seems no one else does out there.
  7. A Yamaha 450 engine normally runs hot enough to glow red hot. It is very common on the bikes especially. Its nothing to be concerned about really, just wear boots and dont touch it.
  8. I should be going out there that weekend. I may try to make the south pole ride and meet ya'll. I used to work with ISBB, but havent met any of the rest of you. Ill be tenting it most likely.
