  1. OK, here we go :kissass: :kissass: :kissass:

Now, let me preface this with saying, I do NOT have a problem with people who don't know anyone in my neighborhood, coming into my neighborhood to trick or treat.

Since we bought our house in 2002, there have been the big vans and even church buses drop kids off within the neighborhood to trick or treat... I DO NOT have a problem with that

What I DO have a problem with, is the effers that drive their own cars with their kids into my neiborhood, park, go trick or treating, then dump all their trash from their cars in front of the houses in the neighborhood (yes, even mine a couple of times) and then just drive off.

I guess you think we are your personal butlers, and are solely placed on this earth to pick up after your azz?

nice behavior you are teaching your kids to, allowing them to litter in front of somebody else's house.

    I'm guessing they were Messicans?

  2. Nice truck. I've got a 2005 I bought new that has been real good to me. You made the right choice going with the 5.9.

My only concern would be the extra strain on the transmission from those huge tires. Towing they will kill your fuel mileage. A friend of mine has a 2006 Ram lifted with huge tires and he gets about 6 mpg while I can get 10-11 out of my stock truck. I also leave his a$$ in the dust on the hills. We are both towing trailers that are about the same weight. If the truck has been re-geared you should be just fine.

  3. It can be done as others here have said.

I once had three quads standing up in the back of my longbed Dodge Ram. It sure as hell wasn't easy to get the last one in there and the tailgate wouldn't shut, so we removed it as we had to tow an RV home. I wish I had pictures since I got so many thumbs up on the trip back from Idaho.

    BTW, the quads were a Suzuki LT500R, a KFX 400, and a LTZ 400.

  4. Lamb and Bonanza one of my fav's.

Hey, I grew up in that area. :( It wasn't so bad 20 years ago.

But I definately wouldn't get caught dead in that area after dark now.

At the public range do they let you shoot any type of weapon? Out here in Boulder City they don't let you shoot the big stuff at the range. :B

  5. I gave up going to the carwash and now wash my vehicles at home, so now my truck hasn't been washed in about four months. :beercheers:

I try to shop on the internet whenever possible. Usually you can get free shipping and don't have to pay taxes so that saves money and gas.

I gave up drinking on weekdays and now only drink on weekends.

I stopped going to the bar since Timbers raised their food and drink prices so that is even saving me more money.

I think the last time I went out to a nice restaurant was in August.

I rarely drive my truck and instead drive my car to work every day.

We have taken a lot fewer trips to the dunes this year.

All the money I have saved this year I blew on guns and ammo. :P

  6. So tonight, the wife and I decided to go to Town Square, stop by the Apple Store get a couple things and then have a peaceful dinner at the Yard House. No kids for 2 weeks, hell this is like a honeymoon. So for dessert we go to the Yogurt place that sells it for .30 an ounce. Now you say, WTF does the title have to do with that story..nothing really, just wanted to share buttttt, and I mean that in the literal terms, she walks in and OMG, are you F'n kidding me??!! I have 3 children and not once did I ever picture my wife wearing something like this. The guy she's with really does not love her, cause if he did, he would have told her "Yes honey, that outfit makes you look prego." And you expect not to get weird looks while dressed like that? So here ya go, shocker..you are pregnant and I'm sure South Beach didn't have this in mind when they made these shorts. And I am sorry if this photo is of you and your wife..really and truly, but I can't pass this up.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. :headbang1:

  7. What trim level was this truck? I doubt Enterprise buys much more than a stripper to rent out to people. My 2005 Ram has all the goodies. My gas and brake pedals even move. And I have been in the new body style truck at the dealer. In the SLT and Laramie trim they are NICE. But I'm still gonna keep my 2005 because that 6.7 Cummins is POOP. The 5.9 is the only Cummins I want in a truck (besides a 4BT).

  8. Wow, some of those pics bring back memories. We've been going to Dumont since the early 80's. I gotta find some pics. Back then the Honda 250R three wheeler was the sh*t. I faintly remeber the Honda 185 coming out with front shocks but still was a hardtail IIRC.

  9. I am sure Obama will end up taking GM and giving a majority share of it to the UAW like he did with Chrysler. :?: Of course this will be after a bankruptcy and more bailout money gets thrown their way to provide benefits to union members. :thumb: I guess Obama has to pay back his supporters somehow.

  10. I had heard a story of some kids "borrowing" the license plate off of someone's else's car with the sole purpose of running through the speed cameras. They then return the plate to its owner's car, and the owner doesn't know until they get the ticket in the mail. :B

  11. My half ton Titan is rated to tow 9,400 pounds but....

I'm looking at 2000 21' Thor Wanderer. It's loaded with options which are not helium filled so I'm not sure I trust the empty weight on the builders plate. Newer toy haulers seem to be lighter at least if you believe the advertising. I don't know that I want to run the Titan at max tow rating. I don't mind going uphill and downhill slow but don't like to see the temps get too high. Upgrading the truck isn't gonna happen. I owe I owe.....

So am I gonna be happy pulling this thing? Are the newer ones really that much lighter given the same 21' length? Should I be looking at nothing above a 18'? What do you think of the Thor Wanderer in general?

    Eli

Being the trailer is only 21 feet it probably weighs 6,000-7,000 lbs max. I think you'd be fine towing it. I'm sure you can get some air bags to help the suspension handle the load. Before you buy you might want to have the seller run the trailer over the scales at a truck stop to make sure you are safe.
