^^^^^ I have nothing worth adding to this post!! - I have nothing worth adding to this post!! - x2 Poker run here I come !

  2. All's well that end well.

BTW Stacey you don't count. You put in more time and effort then most of us. I say you get an honorary pass just for what you do to help out.

Blm don't do honorary passes Skyz. Does this mean you are now against yourself and your previous posts ? She said she will take a borrowed pass all day. I am neutral on the actual arguement but just curious how her $30.00 or $40.00 doesn't make a difference if everyone elses money means the end of Dumont or higher fees for all of us. Hopefully you take no offense to this post, just wondering how Blondie gets a pass while others get raked across the coals about their honesty and integrity.

  3. :dunno:

YEAH SAWDAWG ,THINKIN WE BOTH KNOW THE GUY.

    BUT HES RETIRED NOW.

YOU THINK HE WILL HELP US.

DO RETIREES MAKE MORE WHEN THEY HELP. LOL

YEAH THINKIN EVERYONE IN OUR CAMP CARRIES A GUN ANYWAY SO.

    sorry for the caps thing.

if i catch someone I will hook them to my PURPLE ROCKET and drag them thru the dunes and laughing all the way.

then spray paint them. (just cause)

then drop them at another ddr camp and they can do the same until we have had our fun with them.

that should be a rule. im thinkin.

how many drags does it take to make the thieving quit. should be one. whos with me.

If I am there I am for this punishment. Let me know. I apologise now if I take this punishment too far. I am not so versed on lengths of dragging but I do have a formula for the dragging time. At this point it seems like my answer to this situation is 60 times the actual quotation. I like !

  4. Nice!!

Springfield XD .45 ACP... That always helps..

Springfield XD .40 here. Subsonic 180 grain Jacketed HP law enforcement rounds. Hope I never have to use them ! Buuuuuuuut, F the thieves out there ! Here here crooked azz punks. Come to my hauler and rip me off. Might as well knock on the door. Say hi azzhats !

  5. I was actually out there myself thisd weekend. With florida boy. We woke up about 6 am or so and noticed the side by side up there. We took a look through the bynos and could see no one and figured it was out of gas or someone watching the sun rise on the back side of the dune. Not long after that some guys took a ride up there and the crowd began to gather. By the time I got around to gearing up I took a cruise up there to see what was up. As I approached to the left of the UTV the guys waived me aside to pass by. My buddy then pulled up beside me and left me no room to turn back down hill ooopps. So I was stuck and went ahead and looked back to notice him lying on his back arms crossed over forehead and obviously passed on. Yes it was a Razor I had a very up close look it looked as if he launched out of a witch eye poining towards the main rd and nose dived into the face of the hill ejecting him from the vehicle. I cant help but wondering what could have happened had I only gone up there to check it out when I woke up. Was he still alive? From what I am hearing about the situation it sounds like no but who knows. My thoughts go out to his family, and I know it doesnt help much but at least he went doing what he loved. And as said before always ride in numbers and always wear your gear and saftey straps. Not worth it to get in a hurry it will still be there when you get there.

Not your situation Quadracer. This scene was put into play without your knowledge. Don't overthink it man. Keep your thoughts pure and always know if you could have done something you would have. Shiat happens and I think anyone who dunes could tell you a horrible story or one that could have been. Peace to a fellow duner and peace to you brother.

  6. :think::sleeping:

I really do wish this site would'nt live up to its reputation as often as it does :dunno::blink::think:

On another note, kickass AV man!!!! Thats one of my faveorite films of all time :dope: :moon:

You don't like how this site "lives up to its reputation" Okey dokey :poop: in Cali. Sorry pete!

  7. bad dunes and a lot of wrecks already could be a bad halloween sure hope everyone takes it easy

I hope everyone plays it safe until they get lines they know set. I have been laughed at by friends (?) because I tend to take it easy over a razor until I know what lies beyond. I will take that every time over a stupid mishap or fatality. This sport is dangerous without exposing ourselves to the unknown that we know about. An accident can occur at any time. I know at any moment a lapse in judgement could result in a tragic accident. Play it safe peeps. A dune season is only as good as the responsible peeps allow. Good times for all of our peeps !

  8. those are some terrible looking pictures!

i hope the family of the driver of the rail is okayy! :(

this has to be more then 30mph tho!

I read on GD a post from the passenger in the rails best friend. The passenger is the one who passed away. The friend said they were about 200 yards from camp and heard the wreck. He used a sawzall to extricate his friend. He said it was a terrible accident and reckless behavior was not a factor. Sad story indeed.

  9. I agree with you on this part Skyz.... :porn:

When I was a BEGINNER the 'guys' who were trying to 'teach' :bs: me how to ride didn't really 'teach', it was more like this is how the quad works, now follow me and off they go up the biggest tallest dune out there, so that made me hesitant and scared :ah: . I didn't really learn to ride well until I found someone who was willing to take more 1 on 1 time and start out simple and work up to bigger things and was willing and able to answer all my 'stupid girl questions' so I could understand how/what I was supposed to do. I was determined to learn so I tried and tried and kept pushing myself :ynot: .

Just for info...they put me on a KFX700 on my first trip to the dunes because it is an automatic, I took it up the finger dune and turned right back around and parked it at camp. Those quads still scare me now, along with the 'farm equipment', I just didn't feel comfortable or safe on it, it was so big I was scared of it rolling over on me like it did my sister. I then asked them to teach me how to shift and I went out on a LTR450, of course I didn't get past 2nd gear for awhile :beercheers: , but I felt much safer on the LTR450 it being a smaller bike and felt more stable in the dunes. I didn't find it hard to learn how to shift, more difficult to know when to shift. I then tried the YFZ450 and liked it almost as much as the LTR. It took me a few trips to be able to ride in 3rd gear and for an entire season I never took it to 5th. I bought a LTZ400 for myself and I love it, it doesn't go as fast as the 450's but everyone I have taught on it has learned quickly and felt comfortable. I crashed it on my first trip with it, but it has never rolled. This is the start to my 3rd season and I can keep up with the guys on 'most' dune rides except the super fast hella Pauly rides :beercheers: . The 400 is not too much underpowered for the dunes, I take it to the top of everything out there. You mentioned it has to be an automatic, I question why? I think the hardest part about shifting is learning when to shift not how to shift, when I was teaching other people to ride we would ride side by side on the flats in the open and I would signal when to shift up then back down, do that for a few then pick a small hill and do the same thing, then go bigger.

:dope: I agree with Freak also...if she doesn't really want to ride she wont learn. My sister was going to the dunes and would never go for a 'dune run' she would ride around the flats, over the finger dunes and around the small rolling dunes across from comp, but that was it. We all tried to get her to go into the dunes and she simply would not do it, same thing at Coral and Amargosa. After many trips she finally admitted she didn't want to really ride (good thing she never bought a bike). She rode the little bit that she did just to please her boyfriend. She would never explain why she didn't want to try, she wouldn't let you try to teach her, she simply refused to learn. But she did say that the bike she felt safest and most comfortable was on my Z400 compared to the above mentioned bikes.

:beercheers: I'd be happy to let her ride my bike, if she is willing to try to shift, and I will take her for a cruise around the flats...and maybe some little dunes if she is really wants to learn...I'd only suggest that she try as many bikes as available before you decide to buy anything (including rhinos and razrs).

randyvw... my bike has reverse which doesn't help in the dunes except to get you more stuck, but it is nice to use to get out of camp and to get it out of the garage and it back it out of the truck :whoop: but I don't see the need for it really.

    :dance: :bert: :mc::lol: :rhino: :ynot::randog::laughing:

WOW! True duner woman reply ! Very well said ! :bs:

  10. Going to look at a rail today that is what I want and affordable. :yiah: Novel concept! If the deal goes through, and he won't trade for the Quad I am sure I can sell the quad for what I will pay for the rail. Now I have to figure out how to get the rail and the Rhino to the Dunes. :dunno: Can you spell ramps on the back of the truck???

So, if by any chance you are looking for a super deal on a quad, keep your eyes on the classifieds. I feel a price drop coming! :MBdance: In fact I lowered it $500.000, see on page two of classifieds, ATV's

What kind of quad do you have that you can lower the price a half million ! :flipoff::flipoff::idea: Just kidding. Nice rail though. I have been eyeballing it for a couple of weeks on Craigslist ! Great buy !

  11. Keep the great info coming. I myself also started on two wheels. My first bike 1977 XR75. Next bike was Honda 125. Now that I am livin large quads suit me better at 240lbs. I don't ride crazy but all it takes is that one time.

Brother :B Stick with the thumb throttle. Twist will get you hurt. The peeps that advocate twist are used to them ! It is a big difference and I ride both because of Bikes and Quads. I am a quad guy who has ridden both and thumb is safer and more controllable if that is all you know. Just my 2$

  12. harsh? I was also kidding. Come on!!!! :moon:

I know. Drama is all we have until the season is in full swing. Only fun though ! No true drama. Can't compute that Shiat now. Fun times ahead ! Look out everyone ! DUNE SEASON IS HERE ! We are all some lucky fools ! :bert: :beercheers::think::blury::dunno: :porn: :drunk2: Good times ahead !

  13. Hey all. Thanks for the kind words on my girlfriend. She went to the doctor today for x-rays because she was feeling like she was not healing right(shes a cerified nursing assistant ). Incomplete fracture of the hand with a solid splint and an ortho appointment :ah: Ribs still severely bruised on both sides but none broken. It could have been worse. She will be OK and more D trips coming soon. Thank you again DDR peeps. Your posts made her smile ! She was amazed that people she did not know would give her well wishes ! I explained to her the way we as a sport think. She was overwhelmed. Thank you guys (and Gals !) :beercheers::dunno:

  14. Did you not realize I wasn't serious about a race this stupid? :mex: :porn:

Dayum ! "Stupid" is kind of harsh Pete. Of course I know you were just ribbing me ! I was just playing along. The rope is still an option tho ! :porn: Notice the laughing smileys. :blury: :porn: :moon: :MBdance::driver::thumb::lol::mex::lol::beercheers::loser: Whateva ! :porn: Now I am going to tear through camps in Dumont running over 70's with the ATC 200 ! :beercheers::dunno:

:beercheers::dunno: Did you not read Barefoot Bob's description of this fearsome beast ? :porn: I will let you tie a rope to the backend and I will just pull you around. You save on gas and the view will be the same ! :moon:
