I know Verizon works good at Dumont..AT and T requires the top of the tallest dunes, or the southside flats with a straight line of sight shot to Baker./ Im wanting to know about tracfone though. They claim they piggyback off of existing networks (AT and T, Verizon, Sprint, ...) Thanks

hey Sean...that beach you guys were at is the big surf spot for all the UCSB surfers...youll see them riding their bikes with their boards to that beach that beach is also the place where ugly kid joe, whom hailed from Goleta/IV filmed "i hate everything about you" my buddy went to UCSB while UKJ was a bar band there.. okay...i got off the phone with tracfone...you can buy a phone from them...the one im looking at is 14.99. it comes with free 60 day activiation, and 10 free minutes you dont need to re up at the end of 60 days, just opt out of it i had to give them the zip code to dumont (thanks for putting it on the home page Pete...i was the first result for dumont dunes zip code on google.. much MUCH cheaper than pay as you blow Verizon

does tracfone use verizon cell sites? does anyone here have a tracfone and used it @ dumont? how was it? where can i get a tracfone?

i have att and t and it sucks azz @dumont verizon works because they have the contract for the emergency phones along the 126 i gotta get a pay as you blow phone from verizon for this trip...wife and kids coming a couple days later

there were pay machines the last time i rode out there a couple years ago with Aceisback's kid and string.... i had to pull over leaving cleanup weekend last year and pulled into the little dunes, and didnt see one then.. anyway...you can get your pass at the Valero in baker on your way in, if you come that way
