sorry too.. it gets to the point to where many more off-roaders dont give a ratz azz, and could care less what the future holds for our sport. I have a son that loves to ride, and it would be disheartening to not be able to see him do what he likes to do in the future

i personally don't hink it is a negative.....i expressed that it could be USED and VIEWED as a negative by the people that want nothing less than closure to your riding areas...... obviously you two don't get the whole picture, what does every sand riding area have in common in the State of Ca?? answer....an ESA petition (endangered species act), along with 2 out of the three (oceano and Glamis) having closures due to it. what? you dont think they will use everything to their advantage to give us off roaders negative publicity??? F word industries....is that a community positive? i can imagine your company showing up to a school to do some community service. your business could be used as a generalization as to the mind set of all off roaders. i know thats probably what you didnt have in mind when you started your business, but these groups will stop at nothing, and investigate EVERY avenue available to them to further their agenda....which is to CLOSE DOWN ALL OFF ROAD ACTIVITY ON PUBLIC LAND. must be nice to be oblivious to the chess match that takes place on a daily basis, with your freedom to ride off road being the prize to win or lose. why do i rant like this? it has happened to a riding area that i have been going to since i was a kid (oceano) 15,000 acres down to less than 1500, with a huge fight for even more right now.... now its happening @ dumont, and you want to call ME out.......

you werent the only ma facka ina wheelchair...wheelie bar was in one too. sorry i missed you guys... i was waitin there at the GD booth, talkin with zippy, spyin the fodd booth, and no one i recognized, like dingle or ogp, woody, showed i agree with you on all that too, but when the media, controlled by the left, with huge political agendas, go on a witch hunt, they don't use pics and vid of the majority....rather a minority within the majority, and then twist it and use it to their advantage.....everywhere i looked, i saw something that could be used....its effed sad Bob...

chill out boob, errrrr bob i was the GD booth @ 2 pm, within full view of the FODD booth, and saw no one but mike greeting peeps at his booth anyway the following is just my opinion and is not meant to cause chaos and start a war of i rolled in about 10 45 am on Saturday.... i could tell by parking lot being half full that not as many people were there this year compared to last i went looking for the usual suspects, like randog, woody, and OGP (like myself, not hard to miss that guy ) and through hours of browsing, hob-knobing with the GD.com peeps, multiple beer line experiences, and the 4-5 times i walked around and saw everything, i didnt run in to them i had to go check into our hotel so we left the show about 2 30pm. after waiting for peeps for the pic. i didnt see anyone that looked familiar, but have never met bob, so... i thought that more people would have been there, and the parking lot a little fuller, but :black: it seemed to me that even less vehicles were in it then, compared to when i arrived. i remember last year, peeps were parkin across the streeet at the high school and car dealership too, but that wasnt the case this year. Even vanguard university, which was highly impacted last year by SSSS peeps parking there, literally had an empty parking lot at the front of their school. anyway. we get back to the show around 3 pm, continue to look for DDR peeps, while shopping. I found a dump can for a really good price, and picked up a dingle custom for string, while the guy i was with shopped for hours looking at banshee parts, wheels, lights etc ran into Head Injury behind the GD.com booth and talked to him... man, how fast the RV scene changes!! dunesedge RV just added Carson to their lineup, and are poised to be a major mover in the toyhauler market. Ive got my eye on an attitude or stellar 40 ft 5th wheel that i have the hots for, and when im ready to pull the trigger, it will be through him i also finally met crusty. hella nice guy. i was impressed at how well behaved his 4 kids were the whole time we talked, real nice guy! he will also be out at kickoff weekend! i got to meet nor cal nick. he owns nor cal truck in livermore Ca, which is in the bay. he does some awesome things with gm vehicles at his shop. hella nice guy too. im trying to talk him into coming to dumont with us for the superbowl 2017 trip after the show, we drove to HB beer company, hoping to see some familiar faces, but didnt. i was surprised to see the place DEAD...we were one of 3 groups on the patio, and even half the inside was empty, till we left at around 10 pm dont get me wrong, it was a nice show, it just seemed to me that the booths were spread out a little more, with huge unused areas in the tent building, as well as the two buildings to the west of the tent building. the two main buildings were stuffed, as well as outside of the main buildings, and to the west, but not like last year. this year, most of the space was occupied by RV's. it seemed as though not as many rails were there this year either. TONS OF RZRS tho. saw some that were badazz, but as usual, pulled a total allcheezenodik move, and got a call from my wife 1 hour into the trip "hey, youre camera is on the bar, along with your DDR hat." :dumbass: WARNING...SOCIAL COMMENTARY AHEAD...ALONG WITH DUNING COMMUNITY CRITICISM...WARNING one thing that really got me down this year at the show was the blatant anti-family values groups that were at the show. yes, i may be acting petty here, but i have to point it out, because, in the final analysis, these things kill us in the public perception realm what i realized at this show was that we are killing ourselves, or allowing the bad influences to exist, to a certain extent, that continually injure us and our sport in the perception of what we do that is portrayed upon the public. This show would have been a cornucopa of material to aide in our adversaries quest to shut down more riding areas...just a few glaring examples...... on one large flatscreen in front of a building was playing a compilation of crashes, sandcar, quad, sxs and dune vehicle crashes...some ugly, lots of foul language, with women at the booth with a large number of "bolt ons" and "re racks" in clothing highly suggestive of a girls gone wild video, or a porn shoot in copper canyon. it seemed that this large group of peeps gathered around this big screen were worshipping the demise of our sport....eweeing and ahhhing at the crashes, while drinking up 7 dollar beers with basically strippers pimping their aftermarket accessories...... no way would i have taken string cheese to this show due to the graphic nature of oversexualization that seemed to permiate this venue. a few booths seemed to continue this trend, but one was just waaaaay over the top....BIG TITTY CREW. complete with shirts and stickers, one couldnt help but notice their booth. yeah, it get it that testosterone drives our sport, and that the cutting edge guys of our sport drive this kind of behavior, but again, it is far from a family atmosphere, which we try to push, expecially with our backs against the wall continually fighting against the CBD and Sierra club. i find it oxymoronic that some of us take time out of our lives to go to meetings in an attempt become informed and diligently do all we can to keep our riding areas open, yet seeing all the bullshit that reverses all we do in that attempt undone, at least in the public eye, at an event of this magnitude. i wouldnt be the least bit surprised if vido footage or pics of this event, shot by our adversaries, winds up in the media somewhere, being used against us. a quote, which is still ringing in my ear, was made by a high up person in one of the off-road coalitions to me....."look all around you....this would be a media frenzy of negative attention to our sports......we do it to ourselves...." this show proved to me that we, as off-roaders, are nowhere near being on the same page as far as cohesiveness needed to fight off the groups and movements attempting to shut down our riding areas. GREAT SHOW.............................................BAD MESSAGE
