  1. Is there any way to put this b*tch on without the tool or no?

I have the press tool, but not the rivet tool. Every RK o-ring chain I have ever put on has been a clip type. :thumb:

    post-3-1235347934_thumb.jpg

I think your stuck... you need the tool. but if you dont want to buy one, its probably cheaper the have it done, I had to use the tool at Sam's for my last chain

  2. to my knowledge the trail has always been open. if there is a gaurd at the turnoff, you have to tell him that you are hiking and NICELY request access... other than that I wouldnt know, thats all I did the last time I went there (last spring)

  3. OH! Lunch at Mt Charleston Lodge, never thought of that!!

Horseback riding...hmmmm I never thought of that!! I think that sounds like a cool idea for a weekend day get together trip for something different to do.. where is that??

you could hike down to the colorado river.... either from the ringbolt rapids side or the black canyon side... its really nice this time of year, and there are hot springs at the bottom! =)

  4. On super bowl weekend, I switched my stock stator on my banshee to a new 200w ricky stator stator. Went for the first ride and it quit on me. When I got back, I called them about the warranty. After talking to a few people, I guess this isn't an isolated incident. Anyone else ever had problems with ricky stator? What are other good brands?

I have also heard bad things of them lately.... I hope they can get it turned around and back online.

  5. My AT&T does not work at Dumont or Duck Creek, Utah and I hear that Verizon does. If I didn't have a really good rate from years back I would switch to Verizon.

I just made the switch to verizion also... they are the only carrier that works in central and northern Nv. and we used our Verizion air card from Vegas to Murietta, Ca (SP) and only lost signal once on Baker pass, but that was it.

  6. i believe that you still have to get an out of state pass legaly but most people just play the i didnt know roll and since its registerd you can probaly get away with it. good luck

I believe since you are registered in UT. you have reciprocity for CA. you would just need to buy the park pass. No need for the Non Res. registration like us Nevadans

  7. Hey, thanks for the info Jeremy! :woo_hoo:

I'm not sure if it's bent or not. :headbang1: Will be easier to tell when we line um all up.:old::old::old:

Bent things like that don't bother me anyways. (just a machinist). :flatbiller:

If I tear it down and see that it's bent, I'll fix it and buy you some new overalls for helpin' me out! :thumb:

Good eye and good lookin' out for us. :thumb:

    R-

The only overalls I have ever owned were carharrt brown.... that aint me in the picture

  8. Here's a pic of my  as posted in my 'new member to family' topic. :D

I've added a #plate to the forks and a handlebar pad since the pic. :beercheers:

Not all original but still came out good. :beercheers:

Your head cover is awful close to the fender, are you sure that the back bone isn't tweaked a little? When you pull the tank and the seats off you should be able to lay a straight edge across it and check for true.

If it is bent, straightening will not only improve the looks, but the handling characteristics as well.

should yours or any one elses be bent

heres a couple of pics.... courtesy of 3wheeler.org on methods of straighteing them back into shape.

  9. yep i run a checker auto $!00 7" hid on my 04 honda 450r kick start no battery. i have it wired into the high beam circuit no real flicker very bright puts all the stock quad lights to shame. have posted the pic several time here it is again.

how good is this light for peripheral vision?

  10. I looked your quad up and it has a rectifier/regulator and a capacitor which takes the place of a battery. Without these it would fry. Too bad all quads don't have these.

this is true... but ... I have seen lots of lights on the front of 70s... so I know someone on here has to have one!

  11. Alright for those of you that have these lights I have a question.... would someone try to fire them with a ATC 70. I have an idea but I am not sure it will pan out, and the 70 being able to run them is the key. I think that at a rev the light will fire , you just need to keep the revs up till the like is up to temp. and then you should be able to let off the throttle.

should this experiment work, I will take my idea further! :flipoff:

    thanks for the help!

  12. 3wheeler.org!!!! thats what I am talking about!

oh, and a little note, if you decide to run larger rims and tires, you may need to fab up some spacers to raise the rear fenders for clearance, there is a thread about this on .org in the 70's section. along with alot of other helpful information.

  13. Cole you should try some YFZ or Raptor hubs, bad thing about Blaster hubs is that they are the only ones in the Yamaha family to use that bolt pattern.

Tip: If I am not mistaken with a little work you can get the CRF50 aftermarket pipes to work on a ATC70, but I will verify this.

ATC 200x hubs fit also... that will give you the 4/110 pattern

  14. I agree... the 3fidyX is my style!.... that 87 200x isnt too shabby either!...

good score on the 70s though they arent my speed, but I love what can be done with em!

especially the threelink rearends they are doing now... SAWHEEET!

  15. i have read on another forum with another brand of 50 w hid's that the stock harness cannot handle the initial power it takes to fire up the hid's

have you tried the 35 watt ones instead of the the 50 watts??

is this happening with only the sol-tecs on, or other lights too? how many sol tecs?

I did a HID conversion to my solteks, I wired a 10g. hot and Neg through a 40amp relay and a maxifuse... I have more than enough wire in my harness. and I am using a HI/LOW foot switch out of a older ford truck to fire the relay. see the pics below

  16. hey joe joe

    check this shizz out

    http://www.ddmtuning.com/hidkihidbuhi.html

scroll down to the raptor brand hid's

im runnin them in my truck, as well as my bro and a few friends...no problems whatsover....

from the looks of the pics on the ebay links you posted, they are the same small ballast...you just need to find out what bulb your rappy runs and buy those...save yourself some coin too!

I too run their 50w kit in my Solteks.... but I am having some problems with one light firing, and have to turn them off and then back on again quickly to get it to ignite...

I guess you get what you pay for
