  1. anyone have a good brake drum (late model) in their spare parts? need one for julie's 70, hers has a dent in it. i can get one online, but i figured i would ask first. thanks kids!

  2. sooooo.....we spent sunday afternoon and today out at the lake, hangin on the boat with the folks, and all was good except for one "dead" waverunner (plugs, and fuel are both good) just wont fire off. so later this week i am gonna head out and pick up the ski and bring it into town and have it checked out, which brings me to my question, does anyone have any suggestions on a trustworthy shop or a yamaha tech (in vegas please...lol) they can refer me to, the ski only has like 50 hours on it and it was running just fine last season. the 'twin" to it fired right up, and ran great all weekend, so i am hoping it is just some simple issue, just dont want to get screwed around since my 2 stroke knowledge is slim to none, so i need to trust someone.

btw... skis are 2005 yamaha xlt1200's

thanks in advance ddr folks! :ahhhhh:

  3. damn thats a rough one there!...lol the damn tires look like they are off of some landing gear on a jumbo jet, rollin on some 80 series tires lol!

the 49 kit has been around for awhile for the 90's gen. particularly 94-95 t-birds (i admit i am sort of a closet thunderchicken freak, probably in the top 5 of all the cars i have owned), i have seen a few at car shows here and there, at first glance they actually do look like a channeled 49 ford. this guy looks like he bought the body parts and threw them at the car....lol

i did see one all rat rodded out once but the owner actually put some money into it and chopped the top waaaay down, it actually made it look like a smaller 51 merc. it was pretty nice.

unfortunately these kits look bad way more often then they look good....lol

the same company makes a late 90's camaro to 57 bel-air kit ... equally as bizarre...lol

  4. That's a good idea and I would agree with you except for the small flaw in your plan. School gets out sometime in June unless it's a year round school.

haha, i am so used to Vegas schol zones, seems like they are on all the time so my brain thinks that school seems to happen 24/7 all year long! ....especially if i am running late!! school zone lights are always on if i am late!!

  5. i wanna go hang out at that school on the fourth of july and make sure mister principal is just as concerned about the kids wearing red white and green as he was about the ones that wore red white and blue. he better have his a$$ on the sidewalk watching the kids come off the busses.

flag situation or not, it is clear discrimination, the clothing ( american flag or not ) was not in anyway offensive, its not like they wearing shirts with foul language, or obscene images. it is a clear abuse of authority! the parents should be at that school board with a handful of the best lawyers they can find demanding his removal, and if they disagree, let the lawyers help them see the light with a nice multi-party discrimination lawsuit against the school district.

  6. viva jumped the shark a few years back, when they started turning cars away, just because they werent part of the "clique". they jump started their own downward spiral it seems, i havent gone to viva for a few years now and each year it sounds like less and less people are pleased with the event. It is a shame really, it used to be a really cool event, but like most things the internal "politics" have become the focus instead of the cars.

  7. i am down to help. if you need anything, let me know. btw my powdercoater hooked me up pretty good on my parts, cleaned and coated 13 pieces, for 125, and was done in like 4 days.

give me a shout if you need anything.

  8. sweet deal!, i was talkin pete when he was there pickin it up with you i believe, i said damn thats a good price even if it had no motor! he told me it was complete, damn great deal, cant beat that price at all!

there is nothin to tearing down and rebuildin it, go for it! if you get stuck on something there is no shrtage of people to help you work it out.

  9. this is a terrible thing to hear, very sad to read things like this, my thoughts and condolences (sp) go out to a fellow enthusiasts family. Its eye opening to think about how quikly a trip to the dunes can go from a good time, to a tragedy. Appreciate the time that we are all here, and able to enjoy eachothers company, it can all change in an instant. Be careful out there everyone.
