  1. put some bars on, got the brakes adjusted, threw on my old plastics, and ghetto wrapped the seat with some left over material i had. got a package on the way from dratv with some odds and ends on the way. its nothin special yet but its gonna make the regatta and it was 200 bucks, so i cant complain!

  2. its my 1962 chevrolet "work bench" ...it was a limited model, pretty rare.

lol, i have had that car since i was 17, and i always treat it like a stepchild, i am pretty sure it hates me.

  3. so since the wife and i were in california visiting my folks i decided to scour craigslist and see if i might be passing by any good deals on the way home. found this 70 in Taft for 225.00 so we picked it up on the way back. Took it partially apart to get it in the family truckster, and away we went. runs good just needs some beautification!

"Dodge Magnum!".....its how white trash spell Pick-Up truck!

more to come later, just thought i would share. 9 days to make it regatta worthy! nothin like last minute!

  4. rv park right there by the saddle west (it might even belong to the saddle west, i never really paid attention) in pahrump, super easy access, 10 bucks. If your coming back from the D, and you make the right turn in town to start headin to vegas, its on the right hand side just a little ways up the road. If you go that way on the way out, you can fill with fresh there too for free.

  5. pipe worked out pretty good jack, i have drivin it quit a bit up and down the street, and it seems to be workin well and not gettin to hot under there.

tee: thats not a bad idea.....then i will know which one is mine!....Its the one that says "baddmuffhugger" on it!

got my front tire in, and fenders should be here on friday, pluggin away!

    :atc: :atc:

  6. damn that first pic looks like the opening scenes from the dukes of hazard, holy crap.....with the "freeze frame" i can almost hear the narator....."now folks, i dont know about you, but i think them boys are in for a bumpy ride "

  7. haha, we were just sayin that on saturday. nobody's gonna want to get them dirty lol.

i am down to mess mine up, i built it with the intention to ride it, its gonna get beat up a bit, so its part of the game! honestly if i had "restored" it i may be a little less likely to beat it up, but since mine is a goofy "theme" bike, it wont break my heart if it gets some "character marks"!

but there is gonna have to be some down time prior to judging to get it all purdy again though! :MBdance:

looks like i am gonna be sending my next 70 to painter joe though, damn those things are nice! hey tim i noticed you were gettin 3 sets of risers, and whip mounts from randy, but your only showin 2 70's, are you bring out 2 show bike and 1 go bike?! lol

  8. 70 drama :ogp: ......thats funny :driver: . adults arguing over kids bikes. :driver:

its all good folks we could do the he said/he said thing all day, but this thread isnt a peepee contest!

this is a build thread that is lacking a photo update! lol!!

carb didnt help anyway motor has no fire, so it didnt even matter. we just grabbed my stock motor and brought the little 70 back to life, 31 minutes from removing the first bolt on the old motor to pulling the starter cord and firing up the other. it became a game to see how fast we could make it run again. then we started in ISBB's bad a$$ 110....wait til you see it! its beautiful!! :MBdance:

anyway, no more thread jack mode, lets get back to Cole's #2 bike, how is it coming along? :atc:

  9. niiiiiiicccce!!!!!.....i was askin Pete last night if had seen them yet or not. i been waitin to see them pop up, thought maybe you were gonna keep them :MBdance: until the regatta.

    lookin awesome man! love it!

  10. lookin good!, i always liked the carbon fiber fender sets!

if you are havin second thoughts about the blue, what about maybe wrapping the tank with a "carbon fiber" wrap to tie it in with the fenders, then go to black on the forks to tie them in with the frame maybe?

after that, if you still want to match something to the seat, maybe get a set of 81 or 82 style decals?

or maybe some 84 decals and get a little red in there, then throw a red pinstripe on the rims and bring it all together.

it looks good now though! so think about it before you change it! nice work!

  11. :atc: cant wait to see everybodies 70's this year, so many people have been "building/cleaning up" their toys! it should be a great time! lookin forward to meeting some new folks and checkin out the rides!

3 weeks from tonight, hangin out with good folks and listening the "swarm of bees" sound that comes from little bikes with big people on em testin out the track!..lol :atc:

    :pissed:

  12. +1 with jackster

if you look in those pics their is a stack of them, dont know how old the pics are but they have quite the collection of.... O G Parts.... :beercheers:

  13. thanks mang!....yours is coming along sweeeet too!

here is a little video from out front of the casa, i could have done it with a tape recorder since you cant see much, but you do catch a glimpse of a 450 lb guy riding a 100 lb bike haha!!!!!! so no land spped records being broke, but who cares its fun as hell! LOL!!

    regardless! its aliiive alivvve!!

faat guy, on a litttte biiike

  14. :atc: rear hubs, wheels and tires arrived, punched the stock blaster 10mm studs out of the hubs and pressed in new 12mm studs so standard automotive style "acorn" lug nuts would work, mounted the wheels and fired it up to give it a test ride annnnnd...ran out of gas, damn!...oh well tomorows another day i suppose. front wheel and tire are on the way. i am draggin my feet on the plastics, not sure if i am ordering a full set or just the rear set. waiting for the front wheel/tire setup to get here so i can check for size and see if the front fender will still work before i order anything. :atc:
