  1. Sorry to hear about your friend :(

Yah, medical services aren't cheap. My little boy's ambulance ride cost over $5000; and that was just from Riverside to Loma Linda(less than 20 miles). 15 hours in the ER was another $5000. We only paid a $100 copay. Spending a little on insurance :beercheers: won't even be a concern, once you have a situation where you need it!!!

  2. I have faith in my God...God is Good and he is Faithful...

I've never met you, or Dallas, but I have and will continue to pray for him,...and you, as this is hard on you as well. You are right! :thumb: God is good, even when we don't understand our trials. Keep us up to date!

  3. i think my browser took me to dumontracistduneriders.com instead of dumontduneriders.com.. why use the afro smiley? just say what you really feel like saying. it's the internet, remember? you can say whatever you want and hide conveniently behind the safety and comfort of your monitor. this is america, you have that right as an american.

for the record, i was appalled when i heard clinton repeatedly state "send money, we need your money. if you want to help don't send canned food, just send money.." before obama and bush got involved. and it continues.

I know you weren't talking about my post Joseph. I used the smiley titled B to signify who I meant when I said (he). If you think that's racist, your sensitivity might be a little high. Furthermore, I don't think anyone is hiding behind their monitor when so much identifies who we are(pics, email, etc.)

I'm just saying, I don't get all offended because of these smileys. :beercheers::thumb::blah:

Just because 1/2 the country disapproves of the president, does not mean they are racist :MBdance: It's about policies, and the waisting of our tax dollars. As sand enthusiasts, I would expect many of us are appalled by the taxes we pay to our government, as we watch them piddle it down the drain. People's frustration with this is going to only grow stronger.

  4. Obama will open the borders and let them in. They will get free housing, free food, free health care, free education. Once we get done paying for the 100 million we will still be paying for it. America could give all the money in the world, but they would still hate us, so why give anything, we would never get credit.

Don't forget, the amnesty he's :B pursuing will not only entitle them with Gov. run health care, but social security benefits that our children will be paying for as well :beercheers: , citizens or not. "Americans" voted for "change"; now we're gonna get it :MBdance:

  5. Checked all u-joints by pushing and pulling and none seem loose. I can probably push the front shaft at the transfer case a good 1/2 to 1" in any direction. Would Adams change the bushing? Any idea on cost as I would have to load her up and haul to Vegas.

If it's the front driveshaft, couldn't you just remove that driveshaft and drive it in 2wd to get repaired if it's not too far. That, or trailer it in, but I definitely wouldn't drive it the way it is; you could do some serious damage if she pops out at speed. I've had a couple come apart on the semi's; suckers spun around and destroyed suspension, and electrical harness, and even bent the frame rails (3/8" thick)

  6. That schematic should help. Hard to accurately diagnose without seeing it. One idea I had could be the white ground wire could've attached to the trailer chassis right at the hitch, not being plumbed beyond the box.

Also, Your trailer may not be wired with an aux. circuit.

Where is the tear; middle of cable(Shear) , or did it pull cable out of connector?

Maybe identify how many/ color of wires on trailer side to help diagnose what you're up against.

  7. I will never buy from them again. Did I say never? I meant NEVER! :ahhhhh:

Don't mean to be negative, but...

They have some inexperience in their sales staff and the manager lied to back up their mistakes.

Then they don't refund shipping even when it was their mistake.

I was totally blown away. WTF :ahhhhh: Found out that others had similar issues with them.

... Anyways, Just be careful. Rant over.

Hope they were good to you Andydew. :assblast:

Ya, I'm pickin up what you're throwing down about the inexperienced sales staff! I asked the kid what he's heard about funco's when I was shopping for one, and he asked what they were...in a buggy shop :laughoff:

I haven't had any problems, but I live 15 min. from them, so I can look at what I'm picking up. Thanks for the feedback, though; I'll consider this if buying from them again

  8. I got a billet mount for that same gps from pacific customs in corona, never had a problem. I took it off my old car when I bought the new car, which came with it's own gps. It has an 1 1/2 bar clamp that's innerchangeable. I bought the 12v wire harness over at the Bass Pro Shop; I got tired of changing batteries. You could try a universal cell (squeeze type)holder, but you get what you pay for; the cost of cool isn't cheap :hello:

  9. I was told that last season, leo's were setting up stings near the border check point on the 86 heading to glamis, and the guys with 3 axle trailers without proper licenses, were getting their rigs impounded. Imagine your trip ruined that way :hello: A buddy checked into it; he needs a class b in CA.

I'm 3 ft. over length with my bus/trl. I'm always nervous about that occasional polar bear/ commercial guy who's pissed off that he isn't going duning, and has to make havok for those who are

  10. How well does it work on an RV-type stove? I hate firing up the genny to make coffee, this might make my wife less willing to leave my broken bleeding corpse in the desert :P

It works just fine. I run mine either on a coleman 2 burner stove outside, or inside the bus on the range when it's windy. I have to concede, however, that the french press is a lot easier if you're just making a cup or two for yourself:coffee:

  11. Was wondering if anyone has tried one of those Coleman Stove Top drip coffee makers and what they thought of it?

    Chris

    :laughoff:

I got one a couple of years ago. I don't have any complaints. It brings the comforts of home anywhere you go. One tip though, if you get one, make sure the handle on the decanter is pointing out(not diagonal) when it's percolating, or you'll make a big mess. I learned that the decanter is a directionally purposed unit, the hard way.haha :beercheers:

  12. OK...without the truck hooked up...i use a jumper between the 12v and the running lights

the freekin running lights in the brakelight housing work, but the side marker lights don't...is there a fuse between the tailight housing lights and the running lights?

are the tailight lights primary and the running lights secondary on most rv lights? (power goes to brake lights first, then running lights?)

1st, are you running a ground wire to the trailer chassis?

2nd: If you have running lights @ the "brake lights"(tail lights), it sounds like a bad connection from there up to the side markers. I've come across this before, but it is hard to say with certainty without crawling under there and following the wiring path. If you are getting tail lights at the rear, the problem isn't in the plug, or the lead vehicle. Hope this helps; electrical problems suck!!!
