Really it's a bunch of stupid little stuff, BUT... I was lied to by the seller on a few things (batteries Or battery I should say being one).

It's basically just an old, overall unmaintained trailer.

Only had one battery

sway controller was rusted to hell

vents on roof blew off on the way to amargosa

Plug to the truck was junk

outside speaker was blown

fuel pump station doesn't work

there are a few other little things also. I haven't checked the heater yet, but I will do that when I check the fuel station for power and the gears issue. Vents are on order, speaker is on order, I changed the plug already, bought a new battery already.

overall the trailer will do it's job, but I really wasn't expecting 7k dry either. I knew the stickers lied but geez, that should be illegal. My truck pulled it to Amargosa and back at 65mph most of the way though.

I was told it was all ready to go, and the batteries were good. bla,bla,bla... should have bought the first one from the owner who used it, and wasn't just flipping it for money.

Yeah the gears tend to wear out or swell up and bind. I just replaced mine 2 seasons ago.

one could also just loosen the bolts after each trip and drain the little bit of gas out so it will be dry. could also

lube . i may find a way to put a little spigot on the aluminum plate and drain with that. sounds like too much

work but nothing like having no fuel when arrive at dunes etc. i shouldnt complain since the th is a 2007 and

this if first time. loosing the bolts made it work again but i also took out and sanded down the sides. it really

works better than before i think, pump seems faster.

Why do you want to replace them? If they are binding, have your tried filing them down?

yep, sanded down and work great for now. just wanted a spare set in case they break. best i could find was $23 for gears and $13 to ship 1 ounce, i will wait

As for as what Joe? The helmet law refers to anything under 1000cc's and over 30 MPH capable from the factory, or were you looking for other info? When they look at the specs, your big bore kit is not how it came from the factory, so by law yours still falls under the 1000CC law.

Water tank in th is leaking again at the fitting that is welded on. the seam has pulled away just enough to leak water. anyway, anyone in vegas that can fix these or reweld the fitting? or is there any type of jb weld type stuff that might fit into the gap and not leak? thanks

whoa.....I havnt had to get into this, but I thought they were doing titles again? You mean you got a vin assigned but they still dont do a title? I just got my boy a new blaster (with title) but havnt been anywhere with it yet. It was his Christmas present.

you can get a title with the correct paperwork. get the vin first, get bill of sale or old title and apply for nevada title. its up to dmv whether they give you a nev title.

"Nevada is a non title state". Not a true statement. July 1, 2013 all that changes and titles will be mandatory. You can also get a Nevada title now if you have the correct paperwork. I got my registrations and now I will work on Nevada titles.

Sorry but you are entering a federal property and a fee demo area. if they want to walk a dog by and it alerts on your rig, The dog alerting is probable cause to believe that a crime is being committed. Do I think it was a good idea, nope I think it was profiling but then I do believe in profiling so it puts me in a quandry. Was it neccassary? Well if it saved one life by keeping "Stoned" people off of the dunes well then yes I will go for it but I still don't like it nor would I have been happy to have had to go through any hassle if the dog alerted on me. I do not carry nor partiucpate in narcotic use but dogs do make mistakes. But having to explain why I have weapons in my RV and them searching my personal possessions would have sent me to the moon. I think it was a chicken sh*t thing to do but who am i to stand in the way of the county trying to find cash lying on the ground.

all property is owned by someone. federal property still does not allow leos to search my property without due cause. due cause is allowed if the dogs are alerted. you can still refuse but you will be arrested and put in jail. you know, guilty till you prove your innocence. they have you by the wallies in that case. but if the dog is not alerted, then no touchy my stuff.

this is just another type of harassment. can you imagine stopping everyone on the freeway to do the same thing. wont happen. so, then why the dunes?

i still have not heard the reason they were doing a random search for drugs or whatever. i guarantee that the search was completely illegal. i really cant believe they were searching vehicles and trailers when they know it is illegal.

short overnight trips are the best for me there. it is a nice change of pace with some fun play dunes

and dont forget amargosa is usually 5-10 degrees cooler than dumont. we like to go there early and late season when dumont too hot.

nevada has the tonopah dunes and sand mt east of fallon. sand mt can be a zoo when the hill climbs r there etc. cant even

find a parking area when busy. giant hill climb like sand mt in utah. long and steep and u better be jetted right if you have a

2 stroke dragster etc.

the cal sticker is only good in utah if you are a california resident. a nevada resident that uses a california sticker in utah is not valid and they will and can make you buy a utah sticker anyway. been there, done that. thats why i, for one, am really happy about nevada finally doing stickers.
