  1. I heard the person that died was a female. There is a go fund me account for her.
  2. Yesterday, my wife, father in law and a few friends went out on a quad run. We camp by bathroom #3. As they go over the first finger towards bathroom #5, some jackass grooved in a track into the sand. If you look at it, it looks like normal sand. Once you get to it, it goes down 3'. Well my wife and father in law it that groove. Wife came out with a bad bruise and father in law came out with a broken back. If the jack a$$ that build the track reads this, you need to learn about safety. It shpuld have been marked some way. It obvious that you should not be in this sport. You should stay at home and watch cartoons with your kids. Thanks for ruining my weekend.
  3. See you out there. We are leaving on the 26th through 29th
  4. We will be leaving tomorrow for Dumont. The days after the accident have been very hard on us. Now we have to pack the toy hauler with all the food and camping equipment. Not packing for him or loading his dirt bike is going to be very hard. We will see everyone out there. Thank you to everyone for all your prayers.
  5. We will be there this coming Wednesday just up from #3. We will be right up against the finger. We will have a US Army flag on top on my Weekend Warrior in honor of my son who just passed away.
  6. This past Wednesday, my wife and I lost our son to a horrible motorcycle accident. His lost has hit us very hard. Our plans to Dumont almost came to an end. Since my son loved Dumont, and bought a dirt bike for the trip, we still will be attending this coming weekend. Friday night we will be holding a memorial for him in his honor. My family and friends will be lighting Chinese lanterns in respect for the wonderful life he has had until his passing. I really hope the Rangers will understand. My son was also inlisted in the Army.
  7. I hope this government shutdown ends soon. It's putting a damper on my fun.
  8. Very Cool. I am trying to get my dad to come out with us. I would love to take him for a ride in my rhino. I am sure your dad and stepmom had a blast. At my camp, it was a little sad. One family, that was with us, had a tragedy last year to the date. She had lost her father the day before New Years. We sent off lots of Chinese Lantern in his memory.
  9. We heard of the tragedy on Saturday night. My family, friends and I were lighting off tons of Chinese Lanterns and the friends of Tony came to our camp in tears. They told us the story. Very Sad. They also said that it could have been a stuck throttle. There was a lot more to the story about the driver. There is still lots of questions that need to be answered. Anyways, we gave them some of our lanterns so they can send off in respect to their friend. Apparently, his nephew had left the dunes earlier that day to return home. He did not find out until the next day. Very Sad indeed.
