  1. Re pack wheel bearings on toy hauler/trailer if it's that time.

    Check/adjust trailer brakes

Ops check that A/C it can still be pretty warm at halloween. Furnace/heater while your at it.

go buy a seat belt cutter or 2 and have it within reach. You could save your own life or somone else's.

  2. Taking the new toy hauler up to Utah to break her in, hit a few trails, but most of all.....kick my feet up around the camp fire and relax with some good company and a few cold ones. 65 during the day and mid 30's at night, it's going to feel amazing.

    Then.....dune season.

  3. if you have the mindset of buying a car for 100% sand use only with a 30k budget I agree, why would you buy this or any sxs. But if you have that same 30k budget and love to go blast the trails in Utah or Northern AZ in the summer, and shred dumont in the winter with your wife and little ones with you..then a 150hp sxs with 24" of travel ect. is a great option. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but they sure are fun for the family. And honestly if you know how to drive, and maintain your clutch, CVT's aren't bad. I've blown one belt and changed it in 10 min in the middle of the dunes and kept riding. pretty sure we all know somone who has had to load up their rail on day one because they lost their tranny...

By no means am I advocating for one or the other...I'd love to have both. Just saying I think SXS's like this new x3 have their niche, one car to take the family anywhere, and fast enough to dune with the best of em.

  4. we were up there as well over the 4th, what an awesome weekend of riding it was. We also rode from our camp near the village to Pangutich Lake, then took an alternate route back hitting Mammoth Spring on the way. That was on Sunday, we were flirting with thunder storms the entire day, thunder cracking all around..but we actually only got hit with rain once for only a few mins right before we popped out next to the lake. The weather made the ride and scenery that much more amazing. Glad you guys had a good time!

  5. Congrats Pete! your trip reports and pics are always fun to follow. Having maps and GPS tracks etc. to make it easier or possible for others to share the adventure themselves is awesome.

  6. I assume they won't release your ride until one or the other is done. im sure its a legal liability thing for them. if my car burnt down I could say "well ride now didn't do one of the recalls it's there fault"

  7. im going to try to opt out of the ECU flash as well. My ECU has been flashed by a tuner in AZ, and I don't feel like sending it back down there again. ill sign a waiver or whatever I need to.

  8. its time to get her something. She won't be 5 until January and I'm back and forth on a quad or dirt bike with training wheels for her to start with. I'm leaning toward a little 50cc bike, I feel like it's more challenging.

    any thoughts or experiences?
