i didnt notice the duals on the van, good thing you pointed that out, because when i first read this i started thinking "sweet i can still try and get that triple axle toyhauler to pull behind the 1500 silverado!"

yea we drove right past the meadow, it looked so packed i didnt even wanna try to go cruise thru there.

My buddy, his wife and I drove my truck up to check it out on saturday, drove thru the campground and parked on the side of the road and cooked hotdogs for lunch and on the way home stopped at sandhollow, trying to find nice camping spot in the summer... i didnt see any ddr stickers at either place tho

go down to towbin dodge, they had a lifted cummins megacab and a lifted hemi mega cab, not sure on the actual lift size, i didnt pay attention i saw the 50,000 price tag on the cummins and kept walking, but go take them for a test drive.

ive used clear, way to bright... amber even worse, i only use amber at dusk, seems to brighten things up after the suns down but still kinda light out. and i use smoked/tinted/polarized depends on brand, during the day for dunes and desert

its wierd people think to steal stuff in the desert like that, its easy to take care of a thief out there

what kind of quad was it? i did a mapquest of that address and i live not to far away, im on alexander just on the other side of the 215. i'll keep an eye out for it.

well i looked at hotboat.com and got bored of the b.s. after page 5 so i looked at one of the guys myspace pages on there, and one picture is of him pissin off the side of a boat into the lake/river whatever. so apparently its nothing new for hotboat.com to dump human waste where ever... i know its alittle diff. on a boat cuz theres no toilet but still

depends on your budget but i have 2 of those Hella rallye 4000 HIDs on my gmc that i found for 700bucks for the set on ebay and their the best things ever.. theres some guy on race-dezert.com making the halogen rallye4000 into HIDs with a conversion kit and i think their around 600 for a set, i want 2 more HIDs for my ford now(4 HIDs). if you dont want or cant afford HID, id go with hella, KC, Pro Comp, they make good stuff, theres a million ways to go, but a good buy are those hella 500 driving lights, their nothing crazy but they do a good job for being like 70$ a pair, you could get like 15pairs of those for the price of a set of HIDs!!

i must have missed this truck war i guess, but im stuck in this ford for awhile tho so we'll see how the next 30,000miles turn out, i know my 1500gmc is sitting outside next to the ford not leaking a drop and never been on a towtruck in 100,000+miles except for one time because of operator error(fried the ecu playing with the predator tuner) the reason i bought this ford was because i plan on buying a toyhauler that would push the limits on my gmc, and it never did anything to me to deserve it and everyone i know that owns a diesel has a ford except 2 people and they have a cummins and a duramax. but the cummins and duramax guy dont say much about their trucks and the ford guys couldnt stop talkin about thier fords so i figured they must be a really good truck, apparently they have shortman syndrome? dont get me wrong so far i like my 4door long bed 6.0diesel f350 but compared to what? my reg cab short bed 5.3gas 1500gmc? i dont have much to compare too. but it gets me to work and out riding so far and thats all that matters! :icon_twisted:

i bought a used 03 6.0 4door long bed powerstroke like 64,000 miles and it already had an oil leak, the door switches were messed up it always thought the doors were open . i probally would have got a duramax but they want so much damn money for em and coming from being a gmc guy i didnt like the ford at first and im still really not impressed, i put a banks 6gun and 4in exhaust and just about everyones takin bets on how long till my 6.0 blows up. now as far as chevy or dodge diesels i cant say much cuz im new to diesel stuff. but i just wanted to say i own a ford and maybe bias to chevy but im not really impressed with ford so far.

i like the ww sx1800, i almost bought one but wimped out at the last minute. i was looking at carsons the other day and a 22ft front bathroom, no half toilet/half shower together thing. with dual electric bunks in the rear was real close to 17,000 even. now get a decent generator and your close to 18-18,5 sure its nothing special and some people got something against em and im also in love with a stellar 20ft. my hauler is going to be that 22ft carson or a stellar. oh and the 18ft carson was around 12,000 and that cute little rebel was at 8 i belive

find california super trucks long travel lift..its wider that stock and gives alittle more wheel travel nothing crazy but cst is a pretty good kit, it replaces the ball joints which are a weak point on the fabtech after you put in that stiffer spring, i had a 2wd sonoma that had a 6in fabtech lift and it was junk i wish i spent the more money on the cst, and as far as s10s making sh*tty prerunners, i wouldnt say they have a sh*tty design or are more expensive unless your building an actual race machine but then any truck will be expensive. s10s just get top heavy when lifted, i rolled mine, and im sure its not a flat biller or he'd be doing this on a ranger or f150
