Really messed up story. My buddy got his truck stolen about 3 or 4 months ago but they found it on 95 up near craig road. The person was apparently using it to go back and forth to work. Fuse fell out and the truck stopped running so he left it on the highway. Never found the guy but my buddy got the truck back. Had work clothes and food bags in it. Some damage and they stole his edge computer, backup camera and toolbox from the bed. He got it all fixed and they just stole it again last night. Guess they figuered they got away with it the first time so they did it again. Easy to break into fords and start them. He even put in an alarm after the first time but I guess they cut the wires this time on it. We think they work in the Northwest so If you can keep your eyes open for it and call Police or me 702-498-6286. Thanks. YamaKiller replied to dunefreak's topic in Toyhauler/ RV Talk
Have you been to the nv DMV website lately. 5th wheels over 10000 need the endorsement. I thought it was 15,000 but just learned it is 10,000 -

Truck= 8600 empty Trailer= 17500 empty Loaded both 31100 Needless to say I have a lot of upgrades on the dodge to tow this setup. Hope I never hit the weight police One good thing WW did for me (only good thing they did) was my GVWR on trailer was 18,000. After buying it I went right to the scales and called and complained that I only had 500 lbs payload (not even enough for water) so they asked me what I wanted it to say. I told them and they sent me a new sticker. Stupid me only said 21000 because I did not think I had that much stuff but I can lose enough weight, if I had to, to get under my GVWR...dump water and fuel -
Usually do I think it's a great idea to try and improve it but like I said before I think it's going to get screwed up. Not the BLM's fault but just the Dumba$$'s that can't read or won't follow directions. Went to Lake Mead last weekend and sat in the pass line for 10mins waiting on people buying their pass.

Sept 6th TRT meeting report
YamaKiller replied to dunefreak's topic in Dumont Regulations, Safety & BLM
Thanks for the report -
We had a similar problem in our WW FTL. Most of the heat went to the living room and Bath and none in the master. I found some replacement vents at an RV store the you can close off so I replaced most of my vents ( the kind that just swivel) and now I can control where most the air goes.

I hope it works out. I just know that when they did this at lake mead it made it worse it seems. People with no passes will end up in the pass lane, stop and talk to blm people and then have to figure out how to pull over without blocking traffic. I just thought they would have made it 2 lanes for the people with passes since most people will already have one.
-
But you will have to slow donw so they can see it which its going to back up with only one lane
-
Yeah I can see it now. Holiday weekend, one lane getting in, backed up for 2 miles.

I'm curious how the girl broke her leg with doors on??? Isn't that the mod Yami did to prevent legs from coming out

I can already view the cameras remotely live. Free software with camera so I can view them over the internet but I can't view the recordings that were made. They get saved on my hard drive at home. The cameras record on motion activation. I tried to use remote desktop but I can't figure it out. Do you know how to use it and maybe walk me through it. Thanks

I want to set up a little network with my house computer and the computer I carry with me that has wireless internet. Can I set up my house computer to give me access over the internet with a password. So I can pull files and maybe look at a running program that is on my house computer. House computer= Vista work Laptop= XP I have a camera security program on my house computer with cameras attached that record onto my harddrive at home. I would like to be able to look at this program while on the road. Is this possible. And I don't really want to buy a program to do this. I thought there was a way to do it in windows. Thanks for any help

We will be there

Not that it really matters to me because we are there to clean up but this does not always happen. Can disappoint some. You should really see that that happens since some people donate some large value items hoping to get thier name out there.

contract for ground asphalt base material $98,000.00 (road maintenance) All I am saying is what I have always said. Raise the fees if they want, I don't care. I'll pay whatever, it's not the money. It what they say they use it for or don't use it for. Spend all that money on a road that once in awhile is smooth and most of the time its not. Pretty much a waste. Nature is gonna do what it wants to the road. We should just leave it alone and use our money elsewhere. Spend more money to pay for more cops and rangers on holiday weekends so they can give a lot of silly tickets and collect money. Do you think that ticket money goes back to dumont? So we (Dumont) spend more money so they (CA) can collect more money and spend it other places. Makes Total sense to me. :wedgie: is what it is. I'm done ranting for at least a couple months now. Thanks .. Off to the dunes

Maintenance (Road Work/ Assistance on Holidays) $34,342.88 For all the hard work they do just sitting there in the tractor half the time. Like you I don't mind fees or higher fees. Just don't say it goes to places that it does not really go.

normally you can...but with my rig I can not or do not want to as my dually tires would touch and that is not good. Airing down the trailer is also not a real option for me as the weight of this trailer is a lot and I would be afraid to do it....

When your headed to the North pole from camp, going through the flats, just keep going about another couple hundred yards past the north pole. You will come across a road that goes right off into the distance. You can's miss the road as it runs right beside the no offraod signs. follow that raod for @17 miles and you will be at the mines.

Great people and good service. I took my old sandpiper there several times for warranty work and like you said they won't keep trailer because they are too small until parts are there. They even gave me parts to change (easy stuff like stereo) and then they billed warranty so I never had to take trailer down there. When I need something for my new WW I will without a doubt use them.

Just got home after 11 days out there. We had a great time. I can't believe how dead it was. Seemed like it was only about 40% full. Helped Don and Ellen (camp hosts) set up thier orange fence since the rangers would not help them anymore. For the first time in 8 years we went to the mines out past the North Pole. That was an awesome trip. Had a friend break her toe the first night inside trailer so we had to take her to Pahrump hospital. 2nd night we had a guy in our group jump his rhino coming down banshee hill at like 40mph. Hit the front bumper first and rolled it back up on four wheels about 50ft from launch:rockon: .....too bad he did not have his seat belt on and had to go back to Pahrump Hospital for 24 stitches in his head and 4 at his eyebrow.(cut it on the plastic top that comes on the sport edition ..bad thing was it was his wife the first night...we asked for a frequent visitor get in fast card but they did not go for that one... after that it was a great time out there....
