Ooo Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Im in the process of switching carriers, and I know that Verizon is one of the only Carriers that work in Dumont. I use a Crackberry and I dont expect that to have good service there with it, so Im going to get a secondary phone for out in Dumont. If any of you guys/girls have Verizon and your phone works/works well, what model is it? Im leaning torwards a Razor, but I dont want to get a bunk phone since its only purpose is for Dumont. TIA Quote

dunefreak Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 I looked this up under a search because we've talked about this before. Maybe these topics will help. I myself have Verizon and get pretty good reception, depending on the area at Dumont and I have a POS Samsung flip phone. http://www.dumontduneriders.com/invision/i...c=1202&hl=phone http://www.dumontduneriders.com/invision/i...owtopic=766&hl= http://www.dumontduneriders.com/invision/i...owtopic=445&hl= Quote
trqjnky Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 my best advice, get a more expensive phone, it does make a differance over the free phones with service Quote
Ooo Posted August 16, 2006 Author Posted August 16, 2006 Thats interesting about the EVDO cards working there, that means I can also use my crackberry and work from there also. Quote
EY3BA11 Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 My next phone is going to be the motorola q Quote
dreamrr Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Working with Verizon Wireless for the past 4 years, I have tested a lot of phones. The phone I like the most has been the LG VX9800. I am currently in the process of switching phones to the Samsung a990. Word of advise... Don't get the Chocolate VX8500. I tested this phone and dropped it from my waste and the screen cracked. Quote
