03 cummins transmission work.

I'm currently running the stock automatic transmission. I want to either build this transmision or do a allison transmission swap. But money isn't easy lol. I was wondering what would be cheaper. And what should I go with for the most bang for the buck.

Best bang for the buck? Put a manual trans in it..

Manual would be nice and strong. Lot of guys do it on the 02s and earlier. If you want to stay with the auto, talk to Baca transmissons. They did my 02 and it has been fine. They are in vegas close to 515 and Charleston.

if you have a money issue, dont bother...those trannys are very expensive to upgrade.....stick to what you have, or rebuild if needed....and forget the allison swap...way too much money.......too bad it is an 03, there auto tranny was not the best...but if you stay stock you will be fine

3 disc converter and valve body do wonders for the 48RE. If your over 450hp do a billet input shaft.
