Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 last trip out i thought i popped the trans...turns out i broke the chromoly star (inboard cv). now my queation is... which way does it go in? I bought a whole new cv as the cage was damaged 2. looking at the new one (lightened, race prepped, and chromoly) the star is flat on 1 side and has an edge on the other side. does the flat side face the trans or the other way around? Thanks for the help . BTW since nobody has bought it, i guess i am gonna have to take it out for presidents weekend Quote

got boost? Posted August 23, 2007 Author Posted August 23, 2007 How did you figure out it was the CV and not the trans? grabbed the axle and it felt funny, it was loose and sloppy. unbolted the inner cv and peeled back the boot to find the star broke into 3 pieces Quote
