Ok let me start off by say what up peeps long time lol ! ok so I've been out of the seen for a while due to work , money , time , blah blah blah I know I know but any way , I log back on to catch up and all i see is "CANCELLED EVENTS EVERYWHERE " ! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON ? As I read on in the post I see that is seems to be getting pretty hard to get the permits for the events ! So whats next close DUMONT ? I mean seriously events that have been held years past are all the sudden cancelled because California wont allow a gathering of good friends , times , and spirits ? Call me stupid but why not just a very large group of "FRIENDS " agree to meet up at Dumont and ride for the weekend ? Why even bother trying to get a permit ? And if your going to tell me it the law , then to my understanding you would need a permit for any social gathering right ? Well if I call out anyone for a mid day saterday ride would'nt I need a permit ? IDK seems to be a lil fishy to me , starting to think we need to take our dunes back , I mean really there just SAND DUNES right ? PERMITS MY A$$ !!!

What's the point of this topic? We've been going in circles about law enforcement for weeks now. It's just like arguing about politics. It never ends. I think we all know where everyone stands and it isn't going to change anything bitching back and forth about it. At least in the very beginning in the BLM/sub-group meeting thread ynot tried to be constructive about the situation with LEOs at Dumont and hardly anybody emailed him with the info he needed. People obviously just like to complain. Let's just agree to disagree and let this go.

Had a bad start to my weekend. On the way up there on Thursday evening I was 5 miles outside of Baker, passing a big rig, and KABOOM!!!!!!!!!! So this put me back about an hour, and then I had a preety good vibration in the whole motorhome after the spare was put on. After some brainstorming with buddies, we determined that I had an unbalanced spare causing the vibration. But on to Dumont I went. Got there Thursday evening and just had a kick back kind of night with the friends. Some drinking, some laughs, some music, and some fire.....all was good!!! We wake up Friday to some great weather and dune all day!!!! Plus the kids were having a great time as well!!! My daughter, who's first trip to Dumont was at the ripe age of 5 weeks, was tooling around in her little buggy all around camp. Meanwhile my 3 year old son was not only having a good time riding in whatever moved, he was also just being a 3 year old boy all weekend long. Then my car starts to act up on Saturday... If I got anywhere near half throttle, it would die. So after changing out the feul filter and that not helping, I'm hoping it's the pump in my feul injection system, but time will tell. So I decided to trailer my car and just hang. Sunday, out little group decided to hit the road for home so we could have all day Monday to unload our rigs without being in a big rush. I didn't get a lot of pics. But even after having what I would call an eventful weekend, it was all made good when I saw my now 8 year old daughter up on a quad all by herself and doing great!!!! All my issues with my motorhome tire, and my car not running right seemed to fade away when I saw that!! I was a proud dad....
