Well we headed back out for the "official Halloween weekend" It was most definitely quieter then the non-official weekend. BLM stopped by our vendor set up on Saturday afternoon... yeah.. they know they made a mistake. He chatted with us quite a while, picking our brains, wanting to hear what we had to say about how things where going, what if any suggestions we had. We did mention, that we would like the water truck to hit Vendor Row, keep the dust down, the non official weekend was terribly dusty and all displayed items has to be cleaned before setting back up. 30 mins after he left us the water truck came through. It was nice that they listened to what we had to say...
We got out Thurs afternoon. Set up, relaxed a little. I took off to watch the sunset go down just above banshee hill, had a lot to reflect on, it was quite a week for me, took a couple of shots of random peeps playing on the hill. Rolled back to camp just after sundown, made some dinner and had a little fire.
Up Friday morning and went on a lone slow cruise, I know I know, save the don't go out by yourself lectures, I always take my phone, and Mike knows almost exactly what line I will be taking when I leave.. It was nice to do a solo run, stop when I want, take pictures. Sit on top of a dune and just take it all in. If I am not on a shot of adrenaline for breakfast run with Mike, I enjoy the slow morning cruise.
Headed back to camp, made some breakfast and helped the guys finish setting up. It was a pretty slow day, so Adam and I took off for a short run, just before sunset. The lines seemed to be a little weird, didn't quite flow with the dunes in spots, I don't like to jump everything like Adam, so I just kept it slow. There are still some super weird stuff out there as well, so I was being extra cautious.
Saturday was a little bit better of a day on Vendor Row... But I still had some time to go down the line and introduce myself, since we are the new kids on the block.
Packed it up Saturday evening and headed home..
Some pics from the weekend...
