  1. As already mentioned Tom Pro or King. I used to own a Short Sandcar and I kept breaking it. Not knocking Larry's work, I just feel my driving style was more aggressive than anyone else that has owned one because I broke things nobody else did. I busted many spindles, a rear hub carrier, and a few frames as a result of the spindle failures. I finally had him built a custom car to my specs: http://www.dumontduneriders.com/ssc_buildup.html and it did great! http://www.dumontduneriders.com/ssc-perf-review.html That last Busa SSC car was dialed in great and the only reason I ended up selling it was because I still wanted to step it up to the next level and that was a full size turbo Honda car. I saw the Tech 3 turbo Honda for sale and had to have it. It had better suspension, front brakes, reverse, better charging (an alternator), it was a bit safer and heavier to soak things up and it had alot more power. Busa cars are a blast to drive. It all boils down to your driving style. If I were to buy a Busa car again I think it would be a King. Brian (the owner) is a duner himself and those guys rail out there. I've seen them in the dunes and they drive pretty similar to our group.

  3. I don't feel like typing a novel so I will just touch on some of the great parts of the weekend. It was great getting back out and running with the crew again. Weather was epic Broke a few things and had plenty of stupid small issues, but nothing that ruined the trip or stopped me from running or having fun killed another mason jar of Apple Pie. Damn that stuff is smooth although Whitney doesn't think so. JVZ (Jason) did a damn good job with his sandcar. He just upgraded to a Mendi trans and had to do ALOT of mods to make it work. He had zero issues all weekend. I'm thinking he should be a mechanic instead of a realtor, although that would be a bad move. haha The late night conversations never get dull around the fire. #dirtywordsaroundchadskid #sorry #notsorry #zerofucksgiven LOL! Jason was on a roll. Hilarious night. tore up dunes but thankful for long travel. The car handled it great. I'm doing a top to bottom bolt check though! Lindsay B is not only a great rider but kills it behind the wheel too. Good to see a couple legendary vertical Randog wheelies! GTP Offroad seemed to be a popular spot for duners. That's great to see. Holidays aren't my choice for dune weekends, but it's great running into friends everywhere you go. Nothing like pulling up to the north pole and having tons of friends from different groups out there to say hi to and chat with. Except barefoot bob. mafaka! He needs to get back out there. Overall it was a great weekend and best of all everyone I know got home safely. Time to get crackin on my list of stuff to roll back out on the 13th for the buggy roundup!

  7. Yea I was the first on the scene. A rzr XP tried cresting the top of comp and did a slow roll it rolled all the way down ( at least 20 rolls) the driver and passenger were ejected about a third of the way down. I saw the first roll and was already sitting in my Xp I yelled and started up the hill I got to the Xp just as It stopped rolling. As I got to it no one way in it. Yelled back down for help and to get the rangers. Got back in the XP and drove farther up the hill with all my lights on tell I got to the first guy. The driver was shaken up and had a scrapped up hand. The passenger laying down in pain. and had a few injuries knott on the head dislocated shoulder and some other pain he was scared and even asked me if he was going to die. I let him know help was on the way (didn't know there was no Blm or Sherriff here at dumont) and he was going to be fine. I was joined by a family group that had at least some medical experience (so thankfull that they came up to help). After finding out about the lack of assistance from Blm we decided to pull him down the hill on a blanket and load him into the bed of a pickup. I stuck around and helped get the wreck off the hill and then went and met the group at the Blm compound as the heli was landing. We all helped get him on a back board and assisted lifting him in the chopper. He was in good spirits and I joked with him some the whole time just to break the tension. The driver waived transport and will be ok . Took some pics of the XP it had a after market cage that did a good job and stayed in shape the drivers door was bent in half and pushed way in. The pics didn't come out at night very well I'll look in the morning to see if I can post any.
