    o i do i think its awsom i wish they (like sand rocket) could make a better a$$ end but i do like it

    i am curious why they didnt use a c6 for the ford but i know the 400 is a better trans

  2. wowa freak back up i didnt say anything other than turbo 400s get iffy over 1000 hp thats what the gents at westech told me , that doesnt mean they will or wont it all depends on how you treat your car

    i said sand rocketesq meaning a sand rocket style of car i knew it wasnt a rocket perssonaly i like the rock

Yeah he smoked that turbo 400 last trip out...BUT, that was after adding more power, bigger tires, and come to find out the trans guy that built it never put in the beefed up parts that he said he did. :rockwoot: So basically it was a stock turbo 400 holding up to 1000 hp. I know this probably sounds like :laughoff: to some, but it really is true. That car has some real hp, not Glamis hp. :laughoff:

    see the truth comes out i never said they wouldnt hold i said they get iffy i got that from the guys at the dyno shop :laughoff:

    and as far as fortin and albins :laughoff::laughoff::laughoff::laughoff::laughoff: fortins break as easily as mendeola albins are ok but still very IFFY on the big power and the price is just plain flat stupid mendeola has the big sequential out to but everytime they make a claim it can only handle about 75% of it thats why i wont run 35s and im turning mine down

    i have freinds all trying the new trannies fortins albins the bigger mendeola im waiting to see

    and do you have any more pics of that sandrocketesq rail and specs looks interesting. when i said duneable im talking about low end idle ability heat slow rollin as well as high rollin i think mine cranked up will make to much heat it makes to much now . the turbos more forgiving but heat is always an issue .

    YOU CAN NEVER CARRY ENOUGH WATER OR CAPS !!!

    you can never carry enough fuel

    you can never get a big enough fridge

    you should never go 3 feet with a trailer if the tires say carslile on them

    you can never get enough storage

    you can never get enough buggy space

    you can never get a big enough shower

    pop outs are a godsend if you have children

    and you should always have lots of hair (even if your old)

    “A Chicks point of View”

    First and foremost DON”T. It takes along time. You won’t save that much money.

    1. Who knew billet wasn’t a company. :slap:

    2. Putting together/installing CV’s is easier with more than two hands. That grease wants to be your friend and can go places do didn't even go.

    3. The motor and the trans will eventually line up.

    4. The box the motor comes in makes a really cool fort or doghouse.

    5. Putting together and taking apart shocks (3 times) I always think they going to (BOING) off

    and go flying. :drinkbeer: They don’t

    6. You learn to string together swear words in New and Interesting ways.

    7. The Fuel Cell isn’t as heavy as it looks.

    8. Nevada House of Hose in Henderson doesn’t have sh*t :dunno:

    9. You’ll get parts from 7-11 to NASA.

    10. McKenzie’s and Jags are bada$$ :slap:

    11. Having a friend that’s works down the street for Butch’s Speed Shop and has a truck. Perfect. :watching:

    12. Seats go in Seats go out again and again.

    13. Zip Ties are your friend.

    14. Coast to Coast has the best selection of nuts and bolts. You’ll need a lot of them.

  7. They do its called a turbo 400 or a powerglide!! :offtopic:

    FlyinRyan's car has this combo and it works awesome.

    the turbo 400 and the powerglide are not transaxels were talking about lt cars in a stadered type form also the turbo 400 gets iffy over 1000 hp and if they made a transaxel to hold there are 1500 + hp cars out there

    mine will go 1100 hp but completely unduneable im pretty sure :thumb:

    and that where they need to be to balance the hp to weight ratio to battle a subie

    myself i need a wheely bar and 35s to battle the outback subie but as soon as i bolted that wheeley bar and 35s on my tranny would grenade almost instantly and i have a sequential but there onl good for about 600 rwhp if your carefull

Which one will break a tranny and cv's faster, which one pulls harder on the top end, which one makes the car handle 10 times better.......the answer to which one is better is the Subaru....hands down. We have sandrails(a light car that drives fast in the dunes) not pre-runners or desert cars.

    As far as the by-passes go, I would say you need them on a heavier car, but they are a nicety to have on a lighter car.

    also keep in mind SU cars are biult well there not lightweights you can stuff v8s into them they have the beef

    lol i still agree with everything you say except bypasses are better and the ls1 will last longer.

    the bypasses work as well at low and mid speeds as they do on the top end a good test try to do say 30mph on sand highway

    my buddies ricochete cant do it. reason no bypasses

    i believe the fastet LT car out there is a subie.................................. :mischevious:

    however when they biuld a tranny that will truly hold the power v8s will rule again...............................................

  9. with my old 454 small block i pulled comp an the top of third gear dead stop launching in 2nd ,this new motor dead stop i launch in second grab third and at the 3/4 mark i run outs gear have to grab 4th and its still trying to pull the front up . :mischevious:

    ( i probAbly should grab 4th a lil past the 1/2 mark)

    but i am going to buy a couple of pulleys and start turning it down

    chuck you have dune buggy .com car they make bodies for your ride the avalanch body i like the 57 chevy at one point they had it for sale for 150,000.00 that ride rocked

    and that combo on top is still

    COOL

  11. i dont see 100,000.00 $ i dont want to see the dunes closed cause of trash bags on the side of the road.

    i have a box trailer and a motorhome i pack out . and no risk of litter but i would rather pay a little more for trash so the gumps of this world dont get it closed, billboards pamphlets education they will easily crank that into 100,000.00 easily. which raises the question of ok its not a state park where do the funds get spent blm parties ??? id like to see a fiscal budget on what they take in. or at least have a voice where my money is going, so far they cant even maintain the dirt road. have they done an estimate as to how many rvs frequent dumont on a yearly where do they report the revenues ???

    and by rough estimation to clean the toilets pay the blm to stand around along with sanbernardino sherrifs who get paid all overtime to be there. they should have had enough to pave the dirt road and throw our govenor a party and even invite nevadas govenor

    WHAT ABOUT THE LAZY PEOPLE NOW WHO ARE NOT VETRAN DUNE GOERS WHO CANNOT FIND A PLACE TO DUMP THERE TRASH . WILL NOT THE HIGH FEES PAID PAY FOR SANITATION??? WOULD IT HELP CUT DOWN ON TRASH ALL OVER THE HIGHWAY FROM MISPLACED TRASH??

    IS IT NOT CHEAPER I/E COST EFFECTIVE TO HAVE OVERFLOW IN ONE SPOT VS SCATTERED BETWEEN DUMONT AND PAHRUMP OR DUMONT AND BAKER ???? IT WOULD COST MORE MONEY TO GET THE CLEANUP CREWS IN THERE TO DO IT ALL OVER THE HWY, WHERE A TRACTOR WITH OPEN BUCKET JAW ON A SKIP COULD CLEAN IT UP PRETTY QUICK I DUNNO :dunno:
