  1. this is a drawing from a couple of years ago.
  2. The 4 inch pulley (10psi max) is much more rideable than that 3" (over 15psi if I nailed it).. One day I rebuild the engine to handle the 3" pulley... but for now if I nailed it, it the engine would probably explode...LOL Actually, if I go to dumont and I am not happy with the 4" pulley... I'll rebuild the motor for the 3" right now!
  3. That was only a quarter throttle.... it was the 3" pulley which makes too much boost... I had to limit myself. I wish I had someone to film me... but at the moment I don't.
  4. might go to dumont tomorrow... the only thing you can learn at apex is if it runs or not.

  6. Here is the new video... remmeber I can't stay hard on the throttle until the jetting is right.. lean means bye bye motor.... It's got so much low end... it's hard to see after the video got resized but as soon as I try and take off it pops a wheelie...   7. I am friggen tired!!! I have been leaning over that bike all day... I will tell you one thing... it has INSTANT throttle response and it smells great. You can feel the pressure coming out of the exhuast, it really feels powerful... Much harder pump than a normal 730. 1) I need to reroute the throttle cable, it's binding... 2) this might be bad news, when I blip the throttle the boost gauge jumped to 10psi... I am no where near full throttle... what's it going to do? 20psi? 25? I might need to redo the inside of the engine after all. 3) it blew a 11.3 at ilde with dynojet 175/180... don't have 2 of the same jet. The fun begins tomorrow after work...   11. Yea I said before the KFX is ready made for a blower. The crank is already machined for a pulley. It's already got a fuel pump The fuel tank is under the seat. It's got a nice mounting surface right above the engine. It's already got a little nipple thingy on the manifold for the boost gauge. Hell kawasaki made this easy.
  12. I can lower the carbs a bit if I need too, but even now the bars turn from lock to lock... It won't be a problem. I haven't even put the scoop on yet.
  13. radar guns are about 80 bucks.. something like that. I'm only a couple of days from turning the key on the blower bike... then the real work will begin. Oh and in case any of you are worried about me, I will be wearing my bullet proof vest while testing.

  17. It's a classic roots blower to be mounted on a KFX730. Our bike has a 90degree V twin and the crank is factory machined for a pulley. New years eve Dumont maybe.

  19. Well we can't let a few mishaps ruin the Dumont experinece. I enjoyed the cool temps and like always the circus is all part of the show. A big dune trip is something everyone shoud try at least once. Lots of good races.
  20. I was only there for saturday. You know on bolt on hill (frontside facing the camps) if you watched the drags we couldn't believe how close the bikes were getting to the top before turning or slowig down... so many close calls... then someone parked on top with their lights on and suddenly everyone is turning and slowing down 20 or 30 feet from the top... I guess they just didn't realise how close they were until someone parked up there.... Despite all the close calls, we had a lot of fun... there were SO many fast bikes at banshee hill. I normally do pretty good in the races but man yesterday I felt like a bolt on.
  21. Here's a pan of banshee hill yesterday. Don't let the picture fool ya, in about 30 minutes about triple the people show up. Banshee hill was very popular that night. We saw....2... that's TWO people drag race up some of the steeper comp hills at night, they just kept going at the top... right over the edge!!!!!!! I was sitting around the fire watching one of the frontside hills, I call it bolt on hill because the guys with no mods like to race there. It was about 8 or 9 at night, I am watching a group of 4 go up, 3 stop before the top, the 4th goes right over into the pitch blackness.. I jumped on my bike and raced over, I just knew he would be hurt bad... His was ok, but the tires on his bike were pointing in different directions...LOL It was so freaky to see him launch off into black space.... it's pitch black on the dark side of these hills. Then an hour later at the main comp hill, a drunk lady on a single seat sand rail did the same friggen thing!!! She launched off the main comp hill!!! It looked like she did a forward flip, everyone was thinking of that rail crash at halloween which was probably just like that... about 30 of us start shooting up the hill including the womans husband, he was crying the whole time, he just knew she was dead. She flattened her rear tire but was otherwise ok, she acted like it was no big deal, but her husband in tears and the 30 or so people around her didn't agree...
