Well my bike will always be a sandhill racer, but I wanna throw some street tires on there and try it out. Four new tires, wheels, and full face helmet... that's a bit much to me to pay for all at once... it will be a while. But at least I know I can run the speedway when I get those.

I was down there to let them inspect my bike and tell me what needs to be changed to run at the speedway. While I was there I noticed a banshee running so a took some video... While I was in the pit a few of the other racers had to come over and ask me what the hell I had in the back of my truck... LOL "Please can we hear it?" I'd like to see a study about whether duners help or hurt the numbers of these animals. Insects attracked to the lights and so forth, predators chased away by the noise. Our pressence might be the cornerstone to their whole population. Love to see a study that says we MUST ride there.

Ever get the feeling there are some people combing the desert praying they can find a tiny animal or plant to propel their own agenda? So many dunes within 30 minutes of Dumont... transplant a few 100 of these suckers and set up a new colony..

LOL yes that is also from the movie. When the slaves are bringing out the giant bowl of food to Thulsa Doom's feast, they walk like that. It's all from Conan. The guns were just there to catch your eye... sorta like you have to watch it more than once to see if you can see them all.

I'm all for it, but I lurk around the hills most of the time anyway unless my friends pull me away. My bike no longer gets enough gas mileage to do anything else and I don't have a second quad. From full tank of alky to empty in about 20 minutes.

It's never been dynoed. It's estimated to have around 150 at the crank, 100/110 (cvt has a high loss) at the wheels something like that. If those numbers sound high, just remember it's closer to 600lbs than it is 500 and I am about 280lbs. Thanks for the comments. I can tell you the charger adds nearly 20mph. Without it the best the bike did with me on it was 47 up banshee. With it does over 60.

You guys should try and load an ATV that has a blower on it... it only has two settings... idle and full throttle (more or less)... scary.

remember my pass got stolen? Well get this.. I went to buy another at Dumont on the 8th. At first they were going to give me credit anyway so they rang me up for 80$... then they said they can't so they had to charge me the difference... 40$.. So I just checked my account to see what they drew out... 80$... plus 90$... Damn these things are expensive. I looked at the sales slip, it's 40, but a VERY porrly written 40, it looks more like 90 so I guess they charged me that after the fact.

I gladly pay the fees. What I would like them to do is use common sense when enforcing the law. Telling us we can't have loud pipes. Well I drove 2 hours out in the middle of the desert so I could be as loud as I want. Telling me with a straight face I need a spark arrestor when the nearest bush is a 1/4 mile away. Sand doesn't burn. Stuff like that. The ranger at Four Stroke Wars told us if we have loud pipes we could not even ride to the bathroom... yes he said that... Hard to hand them my money with a smile after talking to someone who thinks like that.
