Pete i heard a little more info on him today. He has no broken bones or even bruises, BUT they have him in a medically induced coma due to brain swelling and plan to bring him out of it sometime wednesday..i will keep you posted. I didnt mean to misconstrue the story i was just repeating what i was told. Either way he is a young boy (8) lets keep him in our thoughts and prayers...He comes from a very big family in Pahrump that usually dunes at the little dunes because they bring the kids and want them safe.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news after everyone had a good safe trip. I got news late last nite a good friends 8 year old son had a rail land on him sunday afternoon while riding the small dunes. He was unconcise but had good vitals when he was air lifted out. Thats all i know right now but everyone keep him in your thoughts and prayers

in California the company used to be called Copart. ask a bodyshop they can tell you. copart buys the totals that bodyshops wont rebuild and sells parts to the bodyshops like frames ect.

His name is Rob Connell. He spent the last 3 months building that. I dont know how many people here knew Bob Connell or whispering bob(due to a trach in his throat) as he was known to some. Bob fought cancer for 12 years and went scouting on the other side for bigger and better dunes this last feb. Some may have seen him out on vendor row one time driving a vw trike or seen him scaring the hell out of new duners in his turbo subi rail. Yea peer pressure mixed with the chance of doing time in California for multiple felonies...

Come to find out i DO know one of the boys. He joked that they were going to do it and everyone couldnt belive it happened. He screwed himself out of a good job and lost the respect of alot of riding friends. Hopefully they will learn a lesson and straighten out.

I have asked around and will have addys and names in the next day or two.

If you are gonna haul it and get it tecked... suit up and run it. Also joe may let you make a few laps by yourself after the races any other nite.

I would have to say the DDR crew did the nicest thing for me when i rolled the rail. I think guys were checking on my family before the dust even settled then helped my(with broken hand and collar bone) roll the buggy back over. thanks again DDR
