Yeah a little bit. The fill hole isn't shoved back in there as far. I use a trans funnel and it isn't as difficult now.

I hear ya there, but ALL 2007 Chevys are 5 year, 100,000 mile powertrain warranty. Your sales guy never told you? I'm not 100% sure that a TB is covered, but I seem to remember the last one I did was. I'd have to look it up at work on Monday. Sometimes doing it yourself will actually cost even more. Don't start changing parts unless you KNOW for sure it's bad by way of proper diagnosis.

No, you probably just need have an idle relearn performed with a Tech 2 scan tool. (Dealer) If that doesn't work, it may need the computer reprogrammed. Sometimes they can be stubborn to relearn after a throttle body cleaning & that is the only way to force it to relearn. Just an FYI: a PCM reflash is covered on 07's up to 100K miles. Even a TB should be covered under the 100K powertrain warranty if it ever came to that.

I am considering it even though a handful of friends keep inviting me to parties. It's the only weekend I can get out before our trip to G at the end of the month. I will let ya know, Rob!

Finally picked one up and threw it on today. This sucker is nice as hell for only a hundy bucks. I had to pull the whole damn head pipe off, but it fits great and is gonna be nice having a little extra oil capacity for cooling like Mark said. YIAH

I was going to be but things came up and not enough time to get stuff together. Damn it. I really wanted to make it out too. It should be a great weekend. Have fun.

something which may affect this year's regatta
dunefreak replied to dunefreak's topic in Honda 70 talk
I know we follow all the rules and there shouldn't be an issue, but they can get really picky if they want to. Even the poker run was technically not 100% in compliance if you really get anal about the rules. I'll talk to the BLM soon and see if it will be an issue. Larry always works with us and I know how much everyone likes the regatta and follows the rules so we can keep this an annual thing. -
lost dog Thanksgiving weekend 11/28/10
dunefreak replied to dunefreak's topic in Lost & Found or Stolen
Yep thats pretty much what I told her. Not sure if they'll take my advise, but I told them many others have had great luck. -
In 07, the throttle position sensor is integrated in the throttle body /actuator assembly. It's not adjustable and you cannot replace just the sensor. First thing to check is for carbon buildup in the TB. That can set that code. Next, make sure your battery is good. Low voltage can also set that code. Other than that it could need a new throttle body or in some rare cases could be a wiring issue.

Posting for somebody who emailed info@ddr. Please help us find Duchess, a Brussels Griffon. 2 year old female that was lost at Dumont Dunes / California Hwy 127 on Sunday, 11/28/10. She is red/brown color, with a pug nose and droopy ears. She is small/medium size and was wearing a pink collar with a heart name tag and contact number. She is a very sweet dog but sure to be very scared. She is in need of medication and we need your help! If found, please call – (702) 203-0273 or (775) 751-6128

I looked on the SBC coroners site last night and I didn't see anything listed and it was updated as of the 28th. It was prob just a rumor. Livetodrag crashed and hurt his arm so maybe after going through 20 people the last guy was told somebody died. Lol That's been the case every time something happens out there. The story always gets jacked up.
-
Ouch. That sucks, Jay! Chad told me you messed your arm up. What happened? I hope you heal up quickly!
-
I heard there were no major accidents or fatalities.

Ha, Camel Towing. I saw that one while down in Havasu.

Yea you'll probably just need to give it a good cleaning. More than likely it's the mixture control solenoid (located on the bottom of the float bowl). Those get gummed up and start doing that . You might be able to just pull it off and clean it up.

We've lost another legendary funny guy. Leslie Lielson died today from complications of pneumonia. He was 84. http://www.tmz.com/p...leslie-nielsen/

Looks like the BLM accepted some fault in the fact that some rules were not followed and enforced at the MDR race which resulted in a horrible crash and many deaths. The only reason I bring this up is because it may affect the possibility of acquiring a permit for future events at Dumont such as you know what. We shall wait and see. If anything, it may have to be much more informal and less official this year. I'll talking with the BLM next week to see if this is still a possibility. I'll keep you guys posted. http://www.blm.gov/w...11_19_2010.html
