  1. I am always having problems with all these stupid windows based computers and started looking into getting a MAC a couple weeks ago. Well Today I went and purchased a new MACBOOK. I love this thing so far..... and the best thing about it... NO VIRUSES to slow it down and none of that windows non sense either. WOOHOO for Deven.

I do however need Quickbooks, Ilife, and Iwork for this thing if anyone has them.

tips, secrets, whatever would be greatly helpful as well.

I am pretty happy with mine despite the issues I had in the beginning. I had mine for about a month and the wired network port bombed - no biggie, just jack the neibors wireless. One day I say I'm going to get this fixed so I called apple, and they said Its probably passed the short warranty period that they fail to mention if you don’t get apple-care. I told the guy on the phone that this was a leased (from apple) notebook and I wasn’t going to pay for chit except for shipping back to them because I don’t want to pay to repair equipment that I am renting from them. I ask for the shipping addy, and he states to hold on and he will see what he can do. He gets back on the phone and says he will make an "exception" and take care of it - just bring it to the apple store.....

A couple of months go by, and my Ipod melts in my truck, so I go to the apple store with the notebook and Ipod. Talk to some tool their and he says, sorry you need to make an appointment to take care of this chit. I say whatever, and want to make an appointment. He says what time do you want to come back, and I say what time do you close? He states 9:00PM - Fine I will take 8:45PM then...

I start to walk out of the store, and someone says, sir is their something wrong with that notebook and I say yes. He says then why are you leaving and I told him the story. He says nope, we are going to take care of this right now - wow.....

He hands me a new Ipod, and says he will have my notebook back in a couple of days - sure enough a new notebook. While standing there making the arrangements to get it back here comes tool boy telling someone else the same b.s.

Ooooh and QuickBooks blows on the apple - just ask around...

    thats it???? WTF!?!?!?!?!

The goverment sales program rocks, if you like the limited styles they offer. My old biznitch's dad worked for the BLM and he would help me out on getting a few pairs every so often...

  3. Hope you have better luck then I did in NE Utah - only saw 3 bucks - One on the night before the season(Small Fork Horn), One five days later, that I got(Small fork horn), and One later that day on private property(Small four point).

The small fork that I got really was a pain, I stalked him for about an hour and thought he was gone. Something told me to take it easy going over a ridge and there he was 230 Yards out. He would not stop jogging - I whistled at his azz a couple of times and not even a thought of stopping. Lined him up in the cross hairs, and bang. He continued to walk, so I was going to take a second shot, and he looked at a bush, then fell to the ground. I thought I gut shot him or something, but no I got him in the heart, lungs, and grazed his stomach. The only thing that sucked is the bullet didnt expand and stop in him, so I blew part of his upper leg apart on the exit.

Last night I had chicken fried venison......

  4. Hey gang. Does anyone know of a descent place/dealer to sell used hand guns in Vegas? :thumb:

The one I'm looking to sell is a Glock 17. It has two 17 round clips, not the limited round clips. heres a link to glock's site

    http://www.glock.com/english/index_pistols.htm

How much - I want this for my chick - the 40s&w is too much for her.....

Blue Book is between 250-475 bones

  5. The guy at Discount said radials are the way to go. He said the compound is better and they will hold up longer. Any thoughts on this??? I believe the 10 plys only come in radials.

I agree that they will last a little longer -but- I believe they both will last well beyond the four year safe "trailer tire life"....

The advantage of the bias is the stiffer sidewall. The radial has its advantages also.... for me the best option is to have less sway(YMMV) - over all I think the maxxis tires in both radial and bias are good tires....

Discount told me that they could only get the radial after I asked for the specific model in bias - and I went with radials because that was there was no way to get the bias except online - I wanted to go with discount for the warrenty they would provide - states they will take care of the tire as long as its not worn below the acceptable limit. Still kind of hard for me to believe that they would warrenty a trailer tire in such a manner, but I bought in to it.... Trailer tires are warrentied from the manufacture for "defects" of the tire as stated in their warrenty terms. A blow out is not a defect 95% of the time according to a manufacture - that would get expensive for them paying for damage to the side of your trailer because of their "defective tire"

  6. a little off topic...

a friend of mine had a blowout on his raptor and replaced all his tires........the guy at the tire shop said that the biggest problem with trailer tires is that they sit with all the weight on them for extended periods of time. He told my friend to lower the jacks to alleviate most of the weight off the tires, and that would help them last more than twice as long

Actually the biggest cause of tire failure on a trailer is due to low air pressure.....

  7. After doing quite a bit of research, I went with the maxxis @ discount with their certs. They state in writing that they will replace any tire within the maximum amount of wear for free with the certs. I could not find anyone that would warrenty a trailer tire like that. As far as the tire itself, it has the most bang for the buck. I did look at a asian commercial tire, but to get it special ordered it would cost twice as much....
