  1. no s#1t you are probably right.....

They didn't come because they would not be able to purge 10,000 potential gallons of waste water from the showers onto the dunes.

All vendors are regulated. We must have self contained rigs and we must NOT dump onto the dunes.

Quite possibly, Maui Showers didn't want to bear the expense of driving out with all that grey water and then have to pay to dump somewhere.

  2. 1) I had a triple bypass heart surgery - No not me, strong as an ox

    2) I took over my dad's business and made Doghouse what it is - No, I started Doghouse blah blah blah

    3) My sons come out & run the trlr when I am sick - No, but I wish

    4) I sold Wrinkles - No, I sold Tiger. Wrinkles is my Dumont buddy

    5) I'll process credit cards for purchases you want to make elsewhere AND I'll give cash back AND I'm an ATM - NO, No & No. Buy it from me and you can charge the cost for $2 more. That's it.

    6) Walking around vendors trlrs/rigs when ALL THE DOORS ARE CLOSED yelling HELLO will get you a positive response. No, leave us vendors alone when we are closed. Many things are going on behind those closed doors that aren't meant to be seen by the general public! Imagine all the things YOU do behind closed doors.

    7) Vendors want to see how fast you can drive on vendor row - No, but thanks for the dust, we're constantly cleaning our products and windows and counters.

I had a great Halloween and it was great seeing as many visitors to Dumont as we had this weekend. Kudos to the apparent swing in the economy. Thanks to BLM for grading the road so I could comfortably do 17mph in and out.

  3. HAUNTED HOUSE!!! HAUNTED HOUSE!!!! HAUNTED HOUSE!!!!! HAUNTED HOUSE!!!!!

    Hi,

Just wanted to let everyone know...we are Slaughterhouse Productions and we will be bringing our Dungeon of Darkness haunted house to Dumont Dunes vendor row this Halloween weekend. We will be open Thursday, Friday, & Saturday...possibly Sunday. We open at 2pm until 5pm for the matinee', this is for the wee ones and for all you chicken s@#ts who are afraid of things that go bump in the night. LOL

We will be open from 6pm until there is no one left in line, we don't care how late it is. After all it is the Dunes and it is Halloween weekend. (Remember from 6pm on the gloves come off and the monsters come out!)

In the Dungeon of Darkness you will experience actors, lound noises, strobe lights, fog, tight confined areas, trap doors, secret tunnels, and oh yeah plenty of darkness.

All of us at the Dungeon are looking forward to seeing all of you at Dumont Dunes for Scarefest 2009. We hope all of you come to see us. We certainly hope to make this a tradition at Dumont Dunes.

General Admission: $10.00 6pm to closing (whenever that might be)

    Matinee Admission: $7.00 Ages 10 & under

*For those adults that go through with their kids, you will pay the full General Admission price, however you will get a front of the line pass to the night show. And you will not have to pay again.

*We also offer a 5 trip pass through the haunt, this is for the matinee' ONLY. Kids will pay $10.00 and be able to go through the haunt 5 times. Yes we will be your babysitter...LOL

From all of us at the Dungeon of Darkness...We are hoping to see you Halloween weekend so we can scare the yell out of you!!!

I heard you plan on being all the way at the end of vendors row (right up next to the highway). Is that true?

  4. I found a place that sells the cali stickers, FOR YOUR SANDRAIL OR QUAD.

PLACE-is called FUNNY'S GAS STATION on Gowen and Rancho.

so if your still needing a sticker go there.

    SOMETHING ELSE......

wasnt sure about the CARTER POWER SPORTS..... they told a buddy of mine he had to purchase a weekend pass plus a holiday pass. which isnt right, he called blm or somewhere they told him no all he needed was a holiday pass for the weekend. plus the cali sticker.

aaahhhh...cough, cough....ack..something caught in my throat.. damn

  5. :DDRrocks:

Wow!! How bad could it be?

Im going to be driving a 34' A MoHo with a 16' trailer out there wed... Dont want to break anything just driving there...

    WTF!!

Last weekend and this weekend I had to drive 10mph in and out, and when I get home I have to walk all around my trlr tightening screws and I have darn near a thousand to check because I was too cheap to get the smooth sided trlr style.

I had to remove light bulbs from fixtures to keep them from breaking and I had to use expandable handware to refasten my ceiling ligh fixtures to keep them from crashing to the floor.

It's truly what comes out of a cows a**!

  6. is vegas gourmet popcorn still coming out?....we bought from them last season, the "mix" one sounds strange but tastes friggin goood....so was the pizza one. I will be grabbin some again for sure.

VGP is no longer coming out. The reason is they have dealers like Doghouse now that sell for them, so they can concentrate on just making the yummy popcorn now.

I have the personal size bags in stock now and will have it with me this weekend.

Groovee Dawgs is going to have the VG popcorn for Halloween.

  7. the more requests I get, the more I'll try to add. I'll have to post a list of all the flavors.

    all the flavors:

Butter, BBQ, Caramel, Sour Cream & Onion, Ranch, Mix (Cheese, Butter & Caramel in one bag), Cheddar, Pizza, White Cheddar, Dill, Jalapeno Cheddar, Cajun, Parmesan Garlic, Salt & Vinegar, Toffee, Apple Cinnamon, Pumpkin Caramel, Green Apple, Hot Jalapeno Cheddar & Red Hot Cinnamon Caramel.

    Whew

  8. Do you have it in your store too?

I will have it in my shop sometime Friday and then of course, after that as well.

I am going to set up dealers for this product and have 1 already. Tomorrow I'll be calling a food distributor I know that delivers to various stores in Pahrump. If he gets on with me, it will be in local stores here soon.

  9. this ad there:

FOR SALE CUSTOM BUILD 2004 HAULMARK 45 ft. GOOSENECK TRAILER WITH :

-DIAMOND PLATE FLOOR...with a pic of his trlr that's commonly seen on vendors row.

We really need a vendor to do motorcycle repair and sell motorcycle parts.

  10. We will be pulling in on Thursday late afternoon and the guy from BLM was encouraging once he saw our rigs! He said the perfect spot for us was at the end of Vendors Row... Do you guys agree with that?

I've been a vendor there for a while and I can tell you that a 'spot' on the row is in the eye of the vendor. Some vendors believe a position is important. I don't and many times I have been up the row, down the row and at the end of the row. It hasn't mattered. Now if you were selling the same thing as 5 other vendors, it might make a difference if you had a spot closer to one end rather than the end of the row waay out there, because people are only willing to walk so far.

On the other hand, you'll be the only shower vendor there so I gaurantee you, with that rig pictured, you'll be found.

Now, for those that will tell you, Doghouse always tries to get the end spot, yes I do, because I want a large area for my sandrail customers to park when they pull up. On the 'row' you don't get that luxury. You'll want to save a big spot with some plastic fencing around you so your customers can park since they'll be there a while.

  11. I had the same problem with mine went to aluminum housing for k&n and outer wear made it better

I went to Nev offroad buggy and bought 2 fuel injection filters they catch all the smaller particles

they are square plastic in line filters I put one before the fuel pump and one after you know when

you need to change them when you start getting sand in jets again.

The G3 (3/8" nipples) fram filters or G12 (5/16" nipples) (common at most parts stores) are great for the application after the tank & after the fuel pump.

Webers already have fuel filters adjacent at the fuel inlet (inside the 19mm nut) that are very fine.

That being said, it's very hard for any sand to get through from the fuel supply.

Intrusion is generally from the air side.. the air filters.

As suggested above the aluminum channeled filters bodies are superior for keeping sand out. Especially helpful is a set of topless Outerwears (I stock these & I sell the aluminum air cleaner assemblies) to fit the air cleaner element prior to install.

By installing the Outerwear on the filter and then inserting the element into the air filter channels and then bolting on the air filter top, it's virtually impossible for sand to get in.

Always treat the filter element with filter oil for longer element life.

I sell the k&n filter cleaner kits too.

another trick to prevent sand particles from plugging idle jets is to enlarge the idle jet so the sand particle won't get stuck.

Unfortunately this means you'll run richer on low end so you may end up needing a colder plug to help burn the extra fuel.

If you also add a hotter firing coil then of course it will help ignite the additional fuel and up the ponies put out.

Depending on the motor, a 65,000 volt Compu-Fire coil kit will almost ignite water! and allows you to gap your plugs at a comfortable 45. With the 'big kit' as I call it, you can run big idle jets.

Many of my customers have the big kits and as a result have the big jets and no idle jet plugging problems.
