  1. will an automatic do as well as a 5-speed out there?
  2. Alright dudes, im considering a Sammi/Tracker instead of a Rhino. only problem is, i only have 11'4" to spare in the trailer. ive looked around online and the sammi seems to be just over 11' long and the tracker about 11'6" long. is this about right? does that include the spare hanging out the back? i think id like a tracker this time (ive already had a sammi i should have never sold :beer_bang: ) but if only the sammi fits, i wouldnt mind it at all. lets see some pics. i know some of you have these things. also, how do they dune? i dont need it to keep up with lt rails, as i need it to cruise around with my daughter.
  3. Speaking of lifts.... how high do you all figure i can go before flippin the axles on the trailer? here's a pic of the 5er:
  4. Funny, i was just pissed off that i paid 3.99 at an arco for diesel on my way home, only to find this thread...
  5. Havent recieved mine either. careful what you say to post office people, we all know how they like to
  6. My daughter is only four months old now, but i am already restoring the atc70 i rode when i was a kid, and i cant wait to see what kind of cool little bikes will be around when she is ready. Good job String! Next up is hopping off the curb...
  7. Ok, so i'm only 28 years old, but even i remember the days of respect. Dudes, you are going to do things that an older generation is going to make fun of. We all did. Take it, learn from it, and hopefully you will grow up enough one day to use it on another unsuspecting punk azz. Threats and violence are the tools of the weak. Your brain is much more difficult to use. I dont know most of the people on here well enough to talk trash, but if i were in your Etnies, i would toss some of it back instead of alienating yourself on a website that exists because of its sense of community. Thats enough from me, ive had a few too many 5 pages yet?
  8. Thanks! I will keep that in mind. i probably wont lift, since i dont really want to flip the axles on the trailer. Maybe just a leveling kit and some 33"s. A filter-back exhaust and programmer are definitely in my future. :chev_bowtie: Thanks for the compliments guys. Ill be asking a lot of technical chit, since this is my first diesel. This truck is equipped with a high-idle switch. although i know what it does, i have no idea where it is, or how to operate. anybody familiar with it?
  9. I know, but the Mitsubishi Raider was just shy of the tow rating i needed
  10. After years of wishing, and months of convincing the wife, here she is... 08 4wd Z71 2500hd Duramax Anybody know where The Big E got his 26"s and sick graphics? I need to hook this one up!
  11. yeah, only diff is 4x4. different cab styles have various differences between 2wd and 4. these are the specs from the gmc website. They are for fifth wheel/gooseneck, assuming a Duramax, Allison, and 3.73 axle ratio. reg cab long box: 2wd = 15800 4wd = 15500 Ext cab std box: 2wd = 15400 4wd = 14300 Ext cab long box: 2wd = 15000 4wd = 13400 crew std box: 2wd = 15200 4wd = 13600 crew long box 2wd = 14400 4wd = 12500 hard to figure out the reason for the differences. :beer_bang: I want 4x but WW 5ers are heavy. I really want a GM truck, but this is a little disappointing. Was the reason i asked if anyone was pulling heavier and getting away with it.
  12. 300lbs makes sense for the weight of the components. but 1600lbs?
  13. Time to upgrade from the trusty 6.0 gas into a new diesel. While looking at the tow ratings, I noticed that with the bumper pull, the tow rating was identical on 2wd and 4wd, but when I looked up the ratings for fifth wheel, there is a 1600lbs difference. On a crew cab, standard box the tow rating on a 2wd is 15200 and on 4wd its 13600. On a reg cab, the difference is only 300lbs. On a crew long bed 4wd the tow rating goes all the way down to 12500. Any ideas? all i can think of is weak link at the transfer case and drive shaft length. My trailer only weighs about 10500 loaded up, but im looking to upgrade into a widebody. Anybody have issues going over tow limits? All this is making me :freakin_nuts: Maybe some of you goodwrench dudes have an answer. I work at a GMC dealer, so I will try contacting the factory dudes, but those guys are clueless sometimes.
  14. Update from around bathroom 3. Have full reception with verizon. Another guy at camp has great reception with sprint out here. Weather has been great. Yesterday was in the low to mid-sixties. Last night was cold. Low 30's upper 20's for a little bit. No wind. just a light breeze. Not a lot of people out yesterday at all. Had some late arrivals. Our own camp will grow today. The riding is great. A lot of virgin sand yesterday. Razorbacks are all sharp though. Must have been really windy this past week. Comp was empty during the day, didnt go out last night, alittle cold and a lot of Its a beautiful morning, and i should have another update later today after a few
  15. I was faced with the decision about a 1 1/2 years ago, and now i have a truck on its stock pizza cutters, and a dirt bike i hardly ride. just have to weigh how much you will ride the bike vs. how much you want a lifted truck.
  16. I have a set of 35" BFG ATs in the garage. Bought them as a spare set for my hummer, sold the hummer still have the tires. They are mounted on 17" chrome oem hummer wheels that fit any GM 8 lug. Tires only have about 100 miles on them. Brand new. Let me know if anybody can use them. Make me an offer i work at a dealer and can get more than a few bucks off and we sell road hazard pretty cheap, let me know and i'll look into it for anybody
  17. I will be out there Fri-Sun. Never been on MLK. How busy does it get?
  18. Thanks! Thats what I will run for the next trip.
  19. Just installed a dr.d slip-on exhaust, gytr billet filter adapter, gytr filter (k&n type), and have a gytr jet kit, for my 04 yfz. Going to dumont on MLK wknd. Any ideas on the right size jets? up 2 on main, up 1 on pilot and needle on 4th position is what i've heard. sound about right? Stupid question, needle position is counted from top? thanks dudes.
  20. It seems to be the same as the Banshee's. I think they just hook into the TORS. Hoping somebody here knew before i had to call the dudes at the dealer. They arent so versed sometimes :beer_bang:
