Yeah, Who the EFF uses "Pounds" instead of Dollars for a joke, Britincali has been absent from the forum for quite some time.

Just another jerkoff lawyer trying to make a buck off of anything he see's that can be sued over. <<That doesnt make sense to me either.
If you squeezed a bottle of dishsoap in your eye, he would probably contact you.

Chevy built a great truck, the fabricator didnt.
-
I believe you were thinkimg about tuned port injection versus throttle body.
I would stay away from a heavy cast iron block motor anyway. If I had to choose between the 2.2 Subi or 4.3 Chevy I would keep the Subi. TURBO=MORE POWER! If you really want a V6 Honda is the way to go.
I whole-heartedly agree with you about choice of motor. I was trying to answer his question about the 4.3.

Throttle Body Injection is Electronic Fuel Injection.
Yes Don, TBI is controlled electronically. Thanks for pointing that out.
-
Theres a 06 Suzuki LTR 450 for $3,000 in the classifieds section right now.
-
4.3 TBI basically means, expensive carberator. Go EFI, much easier to tune and been around the longest. I dont know about hacking the harness though. I've heard some tuners can get 250hp out of EFI with the right programming.

HHmmmmm, I wonder how anything will get built in the entire state of CA if Construction companies have to close down due to extreme fines issued by a group of people whose entire mission seems to be based on emotional biases. Simply put, they want what they think is best in thier own opinions, instead of whats best for the economy and the state.
Construction companies leave CA because they cant operate thier equipment=Loss of tax revenue to a broke azz state.
Construction workers lose thier jobs because thier company shut down or moved=Loss of tax revenue to a broke azz state.
Skilled workers then leave california due to lack of jobs, then california gets sold to mexico where there are no environmental laws, which makes the environmenatlists cause useless.
My hours just got cut to 20 hours a week, I'm not happy about anything that keeps me from working right now.

no weight stickers (do not need on a crane in Ca.)
I thought all commercial trucks need the sticker on the door of the truck, it's not the crane, but the truck that carries it.
Not talkin crap or anything, just what I understood.

I havnt changed my address yet, oops. Time for a little white lie.

Same reason why they dont put ford motors in boats, people dont want thier toys to break down every time they take them out. :stir:

Wasnt there already a "Eff Fed Ex part 2" thread. By my count, this should be part three.
Is this gonna be like the SAW movies, just keep cranking them out even though no one really cares anymore? :hatdance:

I just had to switch my insurance on my truck a few months ago. My parents have been with the same agent at State Farm for 30 years so I called him after checking out all the other major companies and he was double what 3 other companies were.
I ended up going with AAA, they had the best rate. Plus the guy that ran into my truck a few years ago had AAA and they were great to deal with.

By the looks of the Pics that could be devurox* or sands beach or ellwood lol its all nice there ! who do work for ? specialty crane ? I grew up in Santa Barbara and goleta , now I live about 50 mile north in the ghetto near VAFB . and for anyone who.s never been to Isla Vista you need to go ! especially if your young and single , its effen crazy!
It's Ellwood beach and I work for Delta Welding. You get the hurricane up there in Lompoc yet? It was crazy down here the past 2 mornings.

Dumont will just be the few big trips we will make. Hopefully 2 or 3 trips a year with the DDR crew. The rest of this season doesnt look good, work is super slow, we havn't had but one paying job a week. Just trying to stay busy with projects cleaning the shop.

back yard hell....thats a 70 track RIGHT to the beach!!!
Believe me, it's been thought of many times.
Do they make surf board racks for a LTR
-
So I got job in the Santa Barbara area back in November as a crane operator and welder. We found a studio here in Goleta, we're about 15 mins from State Street where all the tourist area and cool restaraunts and bars are. Isla Vista is the crazy party college town down the road from us where UC Santa Barbara is.
We have a 2 minute walk to the end of the street, about a 10 min walk through the trees and fields that end at the cliffs and beach. Here's some pics to give you the idea. I just wish I had Dunefreak's bad azz camera to really capture them. Enjoy.

I had some "motiviation" to change it
Thats the southwest corner of Santa Monica and La Brea, that board has been up for at least a year. I'm only allowed to know that specific info without being called wierd because I did billborads for the past 2 years.
-
Damn Ive missed alot, I got no internet up in Goleta yet.
Terrible news about the accident but great news about the recovery. If he is still leaking fluid, Lucas Oil Stop Leak works wonders
Seriously though, hope all goes well on the recovery and Grimdart gets back out to the dunes ASAP. :xmas2:

Sean, how much longer will it be when u go to Havasu?
I just got back for T-day weekend. I wont be headed back till at least April or May. I will probably only be able to make a few trips a year now. I'll let you know when we get a trip planned.
-
Well, the time comes in everybody's life where they have to move out of mom and dads house. It's about damn time in my case!!!
I'm making the big move to Goleta (or Santa Barbara for geographically challenged folk). Got a killer welding/crane operating job up there and a cool little studio less than 1/2 mile from the beach.
Quads are staying at home for the time being untill a storage situation can be reached. Looks like Pismo will be the new stomping grounds with maybe 1 or 2 trips to the D a year.
No computer up there yet, will be a few weeks and I'll be back on putting my worthless 2 cents on the forum. :clown:

New Front End For S-10
in Truck, Jeep, & Car talk
Posted
My front suspension has been sounding like the box spring under my bed for the past couple of months now, so I need to refresh it.
I am looking to buy:
Polyurethane bushing kit
Shocks
Upper and lower ball joints
I will probably just have a local shop here do the work if they are reasonable.
Any body have any good experience from online stores? Better off buying from Napa or other auto parts stores?
Let me hear what you got. Thanks
