There's a lot of good peeps here on this site that encouraged me through our worst days. My wife teared up hearing her story; she happily posted a link on her FB page, and hope it helps! We hope you sense how many good caring people are out there, through your trial, just as we did. And again, please keep us on this site posted!

My family and I will be praying for young Brayden, and her Family! We went through something very similiar with our lil' boy Jacob, a year ago, when he was 4. Misdiagnosed first as growing pains, and close to 10 months fighting with our insurance, then a few more misdiagnosed scenarios. We were at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles for 3 months. I know firsthand you will do anything for your kids. Sleep is irrelevant, your personal health is sacraficed, and money means nothing in these times. My heart hurts for you guys, but trust me; prayer works! It sounds like she has the right doctors on her side. Be strong for her, and stay focused on the positive. I can't emphasize that enough. You will find love, support, and strength all around you, just as we did, I'm sure. Ever get an idea in your head that just won't let go?

My little boy's sixth birthday was coming up, And he's been complaining about the paint In his bedroom... I guess when you're six, nursery themes are not cool anymore... So I started to wonder what he would like. He is big into army, And of course he loves the dunes. I tried to think how I could combine the 2. So the idea started as being inside of a Fort, And looking out into the desert. I got a little help from a buddy in the Air Force, Who contributed the camo netting and some Aviation related components/ideas. It took 4 days to strip the room, paint the dunes, the sky, and the clouds, and to reassemble the room in time for The reveal on his birthday. I had some old ammo cans to use as props. We painted the fan like a P51 Mustang. The rest of the stuff I found on Amazon and eBay. I still might get out the airbrush for a little more detail on the dunes, As we had to rush due to our deadline. There is a lot of glare from the light in the pictures, And Pictures don't do it justice, as you Cannot see the clouds through the netting like you can in person. I personally think it looks better with his furniture in there as well . We feel it turned out really well, and Thought DDR might like this:

All of this happened after we gave him his bike I painted, where he said his first cuss word. He walked into the house , Where I had his bike waiting; Sat down in front of it, And said "HOLY $HIT"

We later explained to our little kindergartner, That he probably ought not to say that again

I have a long bed chevy, so No...but what I know, is the wide body trailers can make contact with the cab in sharp turns, due to that extra 3" per side(96" is now 102")....It all depends on one measurement; the cab to the center of the hitch(which should be installed over the center of the axle for a long bed); with the glider that measurement should be the same or greater in the extended position. Just be a little careful until you learn it's turning limits

Braking shouldn't be an issue in either, a TH or MH, as much as your descent speed...

What are we talking; 20-25k lbs(TH)? Rigs routinely run 80,000 lbs. Permit loads go up from there. My pete is much lighter than the loads it carries @ 16k lbs of an 80k gross. Never been an issue, never jacknifed, never an accident for that matter. The problem is too many guys jump behind the wheel of some weight, and drive like they're in their prius. You just have to give yourself the proper distance, and slow your roll on the downgrades a lil'.

If either was unsafe, the DOT wouldn't approve them

I've done both. Had a 40' diesel pusher/28' cargo box. Now a 38' 5th wheel TH...There are pros and cons to each

I like the MH pulling a cargo box. I'm very comfortable rolling 65-70 feet of iron, but I know thats not for everybody. When you got there, the coach doesnt have the smell of gas lingering. Also, On a windy trip, you could do emergency work on the rail in the trailer, which held all the tools...

I currently have a 5er. Cheaper insurance, cheaper on fuel, no extra drivetrain to maintain(batteries, fuel lines, filters, air valves, tires, etc), just 5 minutes to hitch up and we're gone!!! My wife likes it better too; the kids have a big area in the 5er to run around in, on said windy days at the dunes. I also feel the 5er doesn't get tossed around the lane with passing trucks, as bad as anything with a bumper pull. The other nice thing is once your camp is set up, you can always run into town with the pickup, for parts, food, or medical emergencies.

I wanted to obtain the MH dream for years, and its got it's perks, but for our family, the TH was just so much more practical. I already had my 1 ton pickup as well, so it was a no brainer. I''m interested to here other's insight on this as well

Just park it and walk away. Next season when you pull it out, all you have to do is buy 2 new odyssey batteries, and degum the fuel system with a few cans of carb cleaner. You can then unclip the gopro and see what you shot last season

I have a buddy at March ARB that's gonna be hit with this. It's gonna hurt him too. and he already drives a gas sipper too My hats off to all who serve our country. You get what you pay for! I agree, the Michelins are going to be the best. Every time I've compromised for a more"affordable" tire, it's cost me more. Recently had 2 blowouts on my boat trailer, because I wanted to save money...Ended up with a fender that needs replacing . A few extra bucks for the best tires, is cheap insurance if you ask me.

Other models are also available, And different configurations as well: Propane , natural gas ,indoor ,outdoor, etc.

This one requires a three-quarter inch gas supply line. Also there is a ducting kit available

You can get it at the pumps at certain CFN stations. I've seen pumps at the corona station(91/15/Magnolia), and I think the Chino station (60/Mountaion/Schaefer). I don't know the prices, but you could call cfn(commercial fueling network) and get a directory and pricing. You have to have an account with them, and carry their fuel card. Nice thing is they're open 24/7.

My very first bike was a CR500 Conversion. It was older, and looked nowhere near as cool as this . Congrats!

I spend a lot of time on the roads, and the one thing I noticed was how all the different departments are reacting to this. I saw car at almost every on ramp in the IE that morning; the ones with the plate reader contraptions . I have several friends that are officers; one of them in RPD.I know they are trained to work under pressure, but certainly there will be incidents where one caves. I watched a CHP pulling someone over; he brake checked the car behind him, ended up letting his first guy go, and then got in front of me, a big rig, and brake checked me twice . I don't exactly have the same braking capabilities as a cruiser, and almost hit him the second time. Very eratic, unusaul behavior, but I figured with the tactical alert, he had probably been at work so many hours, he was overstressed or something. I only wish I'd recorded it.

It all depends on usage of course, but it should use less propane as well. The savings come from not keeping a reservoir of water heated all night long, and when your not home. The idea of on demand is where the savings come from. The never running out is just a perk. Wether you're on electric, natural gas, or propane, you should expect to see savings over a tank style water heater. With the electric rate projections for the next 5 years, The only way I would recommend going the electric route, was if you had a CARE discount on electricity, or if you had solar panels.

We replaced the Oring, and the oil pump. Not certain which was the culprit, but we have success!

Oil pressure is steady. The screeching that developed at idle is completely gone. We hear a ill lifter noise, but... At 240k, I suppose that's expected . I believe our first oil issue was in fact the sensor got damaged during disassembly/reassembly. Our second issue was probably caused by us, trying to diagnose the first, taking off the pickup tube, without replacing that Oring, but that's just my theory.

We all appreciate your input. Just a couple of friends here, trying to save a buck I suppose a mechanic by trade isn't exactly jumping at the chance to dispense their wisdom; kinda like a magician divulging their secrets, but again, THANK YOU!

Still have one major issue with the trans now, but I think my buddy is going to surrender and take it in to a shop. The frustrating irony of it all: after we got over our hurdles, and the dang car don't move. Maybe we should stick to our day jobs, huh?
