  1. Tim, congrats man! That shows you guys are bringing her up right! Such a selfless act that really means so much to someone that needs it.

And anyone else who has kids that have done it, congrats to you too!

  2. I was only planning on going out Sat night through Sunday am whenever it gets hot, but I might consider a slightly longer stay. hmmm, I'll have to check with my toyhouse guests. lol

When did you want to get out there, Rob?

Pete, I'm down for whatever. Let me know. I could leave Friday if you really wanted. As long as the AC in the hauler works its cool with me. LOL Did you fix the flame thrower we had last trip? :DDRrocks:

  3. Duning an 8000lb truck is never a good idea, it doesn't matter what tires you put on it.

Well here's my $0.02. I have duned my 8200lb diesel all over Dumont. Was is stupid? Maybe. Did I have fun? Hell yeah! As long as you don't get stooopid you can have a lot of fun. No worse than taking a 4x4 offroad, you always have a chance of breaking something. Now that being said, I have learned that its sometimes not a good idea to play in the dunes with your ride home. Its best to leave the tow rig at camp so that you and your family can get back home without any problems. Oh yeah and on my 38's aired done to around 20lbs I had no trouble going anywhere, even raced some quads up banshee hill. :dunno:

  4. Pete thanks again for your hospitality as always! Aaron good to hang with you once again, J.J. it was a pleasure to ride with you and Steve I managed to get the sand out of my "mangina" :?: and found more throttle!! It was a kick a$$ time for sure and I can't wait for the next trip!! :beercheers:

For sure Chad good times! Thanks again Pete! I had a blast. Got some good rides in. Didn't want to come home either but as it was Father's day I had to get home to the kiddies also. LOL Can't wait to do it again. Steve, thanks for the laser light show! That light was bad a$$. See you guys next time.

  5. I just hope at the next one people are more considerate and stop leaving their trash and beer cans on the ground. We pulled up to watch the drags and I noticed a lot of trash laying around. Remember pack it in and pack it out. We all have to do our part to keep it clean out there. Other than that, was an awesome turnout. Some fast a$$ Banshee's out there. Hope to see everyone out there next time.

  6. WOW!! That looks like it was a blast!!

    Great photos.

Does anybody know what the weather is like in july there?

I want to go now!! :MBdance:

I would have to say it would probably be the same type of weather as Coral Pink in July as they are very close in elevation. Was mid to high 90's when we made a July 4th trip to Coral 2 years ago. Not bad in shade or while riding.

  7. Damn, you're making me feel old. I remember taking mine two weeks after an ACL replacement in my right knee. Couldn't barely walk without crutches and still got a 97. Good job on passing. Just remember to drive respectfully. Don't drive like us a-holes!

  8. Yeah it was a good trip. 1st time there. Place is huge, not Glamis huge, but still huge. Had a couple good rail rides but stuck mostly with the quad. Met up with Pete, Jakster, Chad, Aaron with some peeps I camped with and went for a nice ride on Sat. Good times. Will go back there again for sure.

Hey Pete, post that pic of Lil Charlie representing DDR up!

  9. We loved it so much last time we're heading up there again on Thursday for 5 days of duning!

I can't wait. That place kicks azz. Last time we only got a little bit into the dunes in the back and hit alot of the trails. Not this time! We're doing it all.

I'll be sure to take plenty of pics for everyone. :dayum:

    We'll see you there! :dayum:

  10. i have a rain coat in the hauler :banghead:

getting used to riding in the rain last 2 trip have taken a few soaking rides good times and easy to read sand when wet

Yeah no kidding huh. I had a blast on that ride. Too bad you had to cut it short with the flat tire.

  11. ken block..he rally races and gets paid to do that for fun and whatever else i got too meet him last year during sema week at solv (subaru of las vegas) great guy

He is also the co-founder of DC Shoe Co.

  12. Our prayers go out to the families. It was an awful site to see. My father-in-law Chuck said he saw it on the news. He told my wife that the report said the Yukon was swerving thru traffic passing everyone before it had happened. Just a reminder to everyone, trying to get there 20 min earlier is not worth dying over. Everyone be safe this season. It's not how fast you get there, it's just that you get there safely!

  13. :kitty: Great weekend. Had a blast with everyone! Poker run was a blast. Can't wait for the next one. Meet a new peep, Jakster. Fun duning with ya bro! Here are some of my observations..

    1. Even when it rains, I would still rather be duning!

    2. Charlie aka "DDR Camp Child" can not only spell but can write too! LOL I'm sure Pete will post a pic of his masterpiece.

    3. VegasStyle can still dune with a rear flat tire.

    4. Took the buggy for an almost a$$ pucker jump! Thought I was gonna end up on the roof. My dumb a$$ jumped the lip coming out from banshee hill and landed in an indo! I think that might be what cracked my steering knuckle on the buggy. Gotta get it fixed before Thanksgiving!

    5. Good times with great peeps as always.

    6. Watched some Jackass 2 in Petes trailer. Gross as hell but I still sit there watching it. LOL

    7. Pete almost missed the turn to the Tecopa Rd. Good thing we left late and there was no traffic. He was backing up on the highway! :driver: LOL

    8. Between my two trips full and Pete's two trips full, the dump station in Tecopa was a little ripe!

    9. Made good time back until we got caught up behind the fatal accident. Highway Patrol said we can "try" to go around. You should have seen that. Trailers leaning at a 45% angle in the ditch on the side of the road to go around the carnage. Got scared for a second when my trailer slid down into the ditch. Luckily we didn't tip and we all made it through. Otherwise we probably would have been stuck there for a few hours at least.

    10. T-Birds restaurant was closed! WTF!

    11. Lets go do it again!

  14. Unfortuntly it may be the only way to get people to step up. We did plan on having bodies to cover as it appeared we had a lot of excitement from the announcement but haven't seen the commitment we were hoping for. I appreciate you standing up and helping and if you think I was harsh I apoligize but you have to do what you have to do to make things happen.

    Terry

I will be there on Friday afternoon and can bring 2 tables as well as white paper to cover them so you can write on them. I do not have an ez-up. I also have extra clipboards. If I can help out with anything else I will. :dunno::dunno:

That is the same for us. We are trying to make it a back to back trip too. If we do, I might be able to lend a hand before or after. I may be committed to driving the family around for the actual event.
