if i was you i would skip over the 250ex and just get him a 300 , it will take him a wile to out grow it and you can doi simple mods to it to keep up with a 400ex , but if your stuvck on the 250's i would get him a honda its relaible and it has the sport clutch so he can practice using a clutch also . -
