Ive been telling my neighbor about Dumont for years and he finally dedided he was going to go for the first time to Banshee Wars 4 with us. He's been working on his old school corvair powered rail for a while and today was the day for a shakedown run in the very small dunes by our houses. . He hit a jump and bent his spindle, tierod, and blew the tire off the bead. We took the front tire off and 3 wheeled the beast home. About a mile from our houses, the rear paddle on the same side grenaded. You can see in the pic that the tire is flat, what you cant see is that the sidewall shredded. Maybe next time Joe. I dont think hes going the BW4 now.

My in laws are in North Dakota and they used to raise cows for meat. I have tried to explain Tri-Tip to them and they tell me its a London broil. I dont know, never had a London broil. I will have to smoke some tri tip next time I go out. Smoked tri tip is da bomb!

I worked at In-n-out for many years. You can aslo have your onions grilled, whole grilled, chopped, or raw. How about some strawberry shake syrup and 7-up? Ever had fried balls? Fried Balls are when you use the tomato corer and use them on the potatoes. Makes little potato balls and you fry em up like fries. Other little items are light toast buns and fried mustard. By the way, the biggest In-n-out burger that I ever heard of was a 120x120. It was for a frat party somewhere in LA.

I am tryin to get out there Sept. 9-10. Hey, my old man got a 2276 sittin in his garage. Its got one season on it. He had it in a Sand Buggy Supply buggy but ditched after one season for a Caddy V-6. We were gonna swap it out with my 2020 but my rail is small and only has maybe 5 inches of travel. 2276 might be too big. If interested let me know and I can get you a price. He also has a 2180 in a box that needs to be cleaned up and put together, has Skat crank and Chevy rods.

He was real cool. We gave him some bottled water and a case of diet coke.

I just picked up a nice digital camera that takes video and a cheapy helmet cam that I have heard might be a POS . What programs do you guys use to edit video. I have never done it before.

I have not gone to Dumont since end of last season but I was there for a week and my pops and I picked up 37 bags of trash just at comp hill. I am only posting this because of the dumpster post. Now when we were there, there was a guy with a beach comber looking tractor and he had a huge dump truck. He actually came to our camp and picked the trash up for us. Real cool older guy. Kinda acted like a camp host, dont know if he is there all the time. He was parked where the vendors usually are. I never realized how much crap is in the sand at comp hill and on the flats We found one spot on the closest finger where someone had dumped what looked like hundreds of huge oyster shells. Damn things were sharp. Surprised we dont get flats everytime we go.

I just got the ATC-1000 helmet cam from Oregon Scientific. Its a cheaper one but I like that it is self contained. No wires running down my back to another camera in my pocket. It hold 1g of memory so it should get some good footage. Anyway, where should I mount this thing? Of course my helmet is obvious but how would it do mounted to handlebars. It came with a rubber barclamp style mount but I think the bars take to much jarring shock and would make it hard to watch. Im not opposed to mounting to my helmet, just thinking of other places.

I havent been able to go much the last 2 years since my wife started nursing school and we went to a single income. I went halloween and thanksgiving last year plus quite a few day trips. Even squeezed in a boys only Glamis trip last january. She graduates this December so I should be out there quite a bit after the new year!!!
