That's your call Pete. I'd replace it. Nothing worse than a blowout that rips-up your trailer. Then putting on a spare with a patch in it. Not comforting. Where ever you skimp, will cost more in the long run. Yeah, Nobody said this dune sport is or was ever cheap. Quote

wingnut Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 I've had a trailer tire repaired. It's been fine. That one tire isn't supporting your whole load. Quote
Richard Cheese Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 THIS IS just me.....i have had several nails in my tires over the years. The ones that are in the tread can be easily repaired to good as new. the ones close to the sidewall....youre gonna need a new tire if it is repairable....I would repair it and keep it on.....my 2 cents Quote
offroadracer Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 repairing it should be o.k..like wingnut said the whole 10,000lbs isnt on that one tire Quote
JoeDuner Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 I have had a nail in one of my tires for a year. It hasn't lost a pound of air, so I have left it alone. Now it's time for new tires all around. Quote
