    dunefreak, what does it take to get a permit, im sure we could drum up enough cash from the guys interested. I know I would be more than happy to throw some money in. what could it be a couple hundred?

    last year was august and I think the year before that was august, so why not make it august, this is one of my favorite trips!!! We would definatly have to find out who brought the lights the first year cause that made it so much better..... im there !!!!!!!!!! cant wait

    cheese, in 1990 I had to get the cert, I was 12 and just got a new blaster, since I did not meet the requirements to ride it during the course, my dad had to take the course while I watched and we both got a cert. a few years later my dad bought an lt80 for my sister and since he had the cert they did not have him/her do it. if you plan on having more kids it might be something worth looking into...???

    yeah its all in fun and games, and for the night drags thats the soonest some of us will be able to get out until next season =)

    you cannot go wrong with the skat traks, i have never had a problem with them, everyone here agrees (except one) depending on your weight/hp will determine your amount of paddles. from what I see you have done you should go with a 7 paddle. sand stars are only good if your not going to be racing...

    get rid of those heavy sandstars and go to a 6 paddle hauler and you wont have to change a thing....

    raptor 700, really good all around bike, plenty of power and im a firm believer in efi, thats why I got the ltr450

    Dooner, actually you do run both at the same time, when you buy a power commander it comes with a crbm (aka cherry bomb) that you must plug in, its basically the key to access/use different maps. you can use the cherry bomb or crbm that comes with the controller, there is no difference the just have a different casing...

    I believe 4th is, all the dyno runs that where done on my bike are done in 4th gear.... hope this helps

    google top speed calculator, it will ask your rpm, tire size, and tranny ratios. you can then play with the sprockets to the the final ratio and speed your looking for

    I was just checking out info at the blm site and found that for the 2008/2009 season glamis will get a price increase. if you purchase you pass at glamis it will be $40 for the 7 day pass and $120 for a season pass. If you purchase the pass on line or over the phone it will be $25 for the 7 day and $90 for the season. just a heads up and wanted to pass it on for anyone who goes there to save a few bucks. I know with the increase in registrations and diesel prices every little bit helps.....

    ltr450hq did a shoot out and the top 2 where dasa and yoshi, dasa was just a few points of a hp higher. I dont know if the sparks was out at the time of the shoot out. I went with the yosh, I liked that fact that you can use the factory heat sheild, where the dasa does not have one. hope this helps...

    I am not ready yet, but the gas prices have put a bit of a kabash on my trips, I wish the season was just beginning....

    Does anyone know if there is going to be a 3rd annual night drags? The first one was a blast and the 2nd one was ok, so we need a redemption and get the lights back out there..
