A buddy of mine raced a ktm 525 out at glamis and beat him by 5-6 bikes every time on his ltr. he was thinking about buying one, but once this happened he changed his mind. I have heard this from a few other people too, that its not that fast. but everyone thinks they look awesome and everything about them is nice, very detailed, great suspension....

Nah, I have been trying to get the owner of the shop to demo one and take it out, but he doesnt want to loose money on it. He has 30 of them and not one nibble on one. I dont think I could ride something with reflectors on it, maybe they should add a basket to the handle bars... I would like to see what it does, since they have been hyping it up (lightest and most powerfull bike). Have you ridden one Dan? If so what did you think compared to the ltr?????

I dont think there will ever be a time when there will be no roped off dunes from campers, like myself these people are just looking out for there kids (however I dont rope anything off). Instead of roping everything off I watch the kids while they are riding and im looking out for people riding near them. I believe the guys roping off the area just dont watch there kids that closely and thats why the do it. I found more people blocking off pathways between camps more anoying. hey we all gotta live together out there just my 02$

yeah that would be john or bryan, i think they run 18" front tires, i run a standard 21" but they still look small compared to my rears..

different strokes for different folks. I find it fun to watch the banshees, those guys are so fast its crazy, I also like to watch the 4 strokes, new technology and they are getting faster. they will never be as fast as the big boy banshees. i think with the hills getting more and more whooped out you will see less of them out there on big weekends unless someone will be grading the hill. Power house is the man when it comes to banshees, and im sure he has something for that honda.............

I did get whooped by some yfzs, but when I talked to them 1 they where cammed/hi comp motors, 2 they where not from the site. I was at the hill several times on saturday and no one came up to me to see if I was from the site. anyways it was perfect weather.....

Yeah it did get real quite in here, I will be there saturday, at noon, at 3, pretty much off and on all day, between rides, since this bolt on is a duner.....

As far as I know, I will be there man, looks like it will just be you and me. banshee hill.....

Cam mod is acceptable on yfz's still the stock cams. my ltr looks just like any other, pretty much bone stock its white, yosh exh. cut front fenders, haulers and mohawks. nothing special at all

Im down, and dont be pulling up with a bike with extended swing arms and say its a bolt on motor. If I could I would leave today and stay for week or so.....

The cam mod requires pulling part of the bike apart, how long does that take someone who has never done it, assuming they can do it. The cherry bomb is done in 10 minutes max, you just plug it in, take the air box cover off and pull the butt plug out of the exhaust, this anyone can do......

Dang Dan, you sure dont like the zuks for some reason, from what I have heard, from several people the ktms are not quick at all, but have great suspension. the ds450 I heard had no bottom end but great top end. yamaha is a great bike no doubt, but i like the wider bike and with the 40 cherry bomb the lt is faster. as far as riding at pismo, as long as you wash your bike when you get back real good, rust should not be a problem. soap it up and some wd40 works great. another + for the lt, ds, kawi, ktm is the efi= no jetting, I thing yamaha and honda are behind here, I believe the 09 hondas will be efi

suzuki all the way, extra wide for the dunes, you would pay hundreds of dollars to make the other bikes as wide. Its efi, and with a $40 cherry bomb its way faster than any other bike on the market. this is a great dune bike, one other thing when you to to 20" sand tires you need to drop the front sproket to a 13tooth. You will not be dissapointed with this bike
