  1. yeah, if I didn't know they were Rhino's, I'd have thought they were pre-runner mini trucks. Pretty cool stuff.
  2. There must be a DuraMax under the hood...
  3. sorry bout that, if it makes you feel better, I even missed a shift!
  4. I'd like to try & get in on this race if you peeps would lemme know...and yeah sure, my bike's stock too.
  5. exactly drtjnky, I just bought the wife a bike out of state for that very reason, and I WILL NEVER buy another in this state ever again! A to the local dealers!
  6. Actually I'm getting the wife a quad from L.A. Cycle Sports on Christmas Eve...they even quoted me an OTD price over the phone that was below msrp. Screw all these local dealers.
  7. ha ha that looked like it was being dragged around by a Chevy!
  8. Yes, I put a BFG A/T load rating "D" on mine, but only cuz my friend who worked at a local tire shop hooked me up. All other places I priced out wanted to rape me for the "E" rated tires the truck comes with. BTW I paid $500 for all 4, mounted, balanced, & road hazard warranty...but they also bought back my stockers. I thought it was a good deal. I don't tow/haul anything those tires can't handle anyways.
  9. The cherry bomb adds 7HP when you remove the airbox lid & spark arrestor on the otherwise stock LTR. I'm pretty sure going w/an aftermarket pipe will add more HP over that setup.
  10. Cranking up the torsion bars shouldn't be a big deal as long as you crank evenly on both sides. Ride quality will stiffen up front also. I did it on a Nissan p/u I had & the ride flat out sucked! I would check Costco for tire deals, but keep in mind if you go with a lower rated tire than it came with from the factory most places won't mount it up for you.
  11. I have an '04 2500HD that I went 1 size up(265's) all around & it does fine in the sand....I had a buddy who worked at a local tire shop who mounted up a 285 for test fitting purposes and that size would require some slight fender trimming (on a stock truck) to clear lock to lock & more-so for suspension flex. I also didn't wanna compromise ride quality, gas mileage (lol) & throw off the speedo...food for thought
  12. hey picnlv, where from in Centennial Hills? I'm near 95N & Durango Dr.
  13. thanks for the replies guys, I figured it out today.
  14. I've got the headlight assembly out, my problem is how do you actually remove the bulb assembly & wiring harness that goes with it?
  15. :shocked2: Actually I'm real happy with the '06, as there's no changes to the '07 other than some better welds on the rear linkage. I just said to myself that I wouldn't buy another 1st year model, then I went out & bought one, LOL!
  16. I purchased a nose cone to replace the headlight assembly on the Suzuki LTR450 and what I'd like to know is what do you do with the headlight assembly/wiring harness? The cone eliminates the use of the headlight so how do you remove the bulb/harness w/o snipping wires? Any info is much appreciated. :shocked2:
  17. Amen to that! I bought an '03 LTZ400 from them when they were Desert Motorsports with an extended warranty (yeah, I better now), that they wouldn't honor when I brought it in for repair...needless to say I'll never spend one red cent in their store ever again! F U Carter Powersports!
  18. I agree, I was set on waiting for the ''07 LTR's to come out but my dumb A$$ didn't stick to the plan and couldn't wait any longer....so I went out & bought an '06. My bad.
  19. Amargosa is awesome! Low traffic, quick, easy day trip, and nice dunes. There's no Rangers bustin' yer nads, and no fees to get in! Just please pack up your garbage so they don't shut the place down. No facilities, so bring your needs. Have fun & be safe!
