  1. Definately "Weird science" another great movie. I used to manage some video stores in the 80's-early 90's so I watched a LOT of movies.
  2. Love it! In fact just the other day I gave my son two dollars allowance amd told him he can now pay the paper boy and "I want my two dollars". He had no idea what I was talking about but at least my husband laughed. :mc_smiley:
  3. What about: "You wear too much makeup. My sister wears too much. People think she's a whore."
  4. from "Better off Dead" Love that movie!
  5. Ok here's one: "I love scotch. scotchy, scotch, scotch.
  6. This is from "Dodgeball". :jester:
  7. And Little Rascals and Our Gang were great.
  8. We also had a Carson trailer and got told by a trailer dealership that they dont show because they are still listed as a enclosed trailer w/add ons. So the dealer was only offering us $3000 as a trade in so we sold it through the news paper and got over $8000. All we had to go by for our asking price was shopping around and comparing other peoples asking prices. Good Luck By the way ours was a '98 24ft. TT
  9. Actually it didn't, I wasn't thinking scarey movies so it didn't click until the "dressed like a mechanic".
  10. I still can't figure that one out yet, I also have my husband trying to help me. You got another clue?
  11. I know I know I know.... Pippi Longstocking :mc_smiley:
  12. Here's some more: Fat Albert, Ninja Turtles, Kate & Allie, Little House on the Prairie, Alf, Munsters, Gidget, Abbott & Costello (watched them every Saturday), Taxi, Dance Fever, American Bandstand, Solid Gold (can't forget the Asian chick with the long hair and spandex), 21 Jump Street, Golden Girls, Miami Vice, Bosom Buddies, Charles in Charge, Facts of Life, Family Ties, Newhart, Silver Spoons, Too Close for Comfort, One day at a time, Who's the boss?.... ok gotta stop now... geesh I think I watched too much t.v. and one more- My brothers all time favorite movie at that time: "Billy Jack", I had to hear that song so much I don't think I will ever forget it.
  13. I live vicariously through all (most) of you because we only get to Dumont a few times a year so I like hearing everyones stories and seeing the pictures of their trips.
  14. We bought a Jiang Dong 3500 (funny name I know) for about $300 from Kragen Auto about 2 years ago. It runs like a champ, is a little loud but we kept in the back of our truck while in use and once we were inside the trailer we couldn't hear it. In fact on one trip it ran two trailers with both t.v.s and vcr's on. The Honda's are much quieter but when you don't have that much money to spend these are a great option. Ours is for sale for $175 now since we have no use for it anymore since our new trailer has one on board, but I think you are a little too far away.
  15. That's funny. But apparently kids haven't stop having BB gun fights- A friend of ours had his house burn down 2 days after Thanksgiving and when he went up on the roof to put up plastic over the whole in the roof he found next to the chimney there was 2 BB guns, cheeze its, juice and other snacks from where his boys had been having BB gun fights with some neighbor kids. He didn't even know they had been up on the roof.
  16. My husband bought tie down hooks at the last Sand Sports show for like $15, great investment because he would always get pissed when they would get tangled or misplaced while camping. And also looking to add more cabinets, can never have enough cabinets! Trailer is always stocked with paper plates, plastic forks, spoons, knives, Napkins. Momma don't like to do dishes while camping. And blocks of wood defiantely come in handy, Thanksgiving at Dumont we got a flat on the center axle tire from some smart one that left staples and nails in a old fire, so we put the two outer wheels on blocks of wood and dug out the sand out from underneith the center and changed the tire.
  17. Wouldn't that be nice, but I don't think that would ever happen. And the address they have listed my mother n' law still lived at until a year ago. So what the heck? Where did my money go??
  18. We are owed $58 from Honda Finance from 15 years ago.
  19. Geez I knew there was a reason why I never really hung out down town. heh
  20. We have been going to Dumont for a few years now and haven't had any incidents. We always go with other families and everyone keeps an eye on everyones kids. My youngest is now 6 and he learned the rules real quick and he knows he isn't allowed outside of the "circle". They are never allowed to ride alone and always wear their gear. My kids (3 boys)love going to Dumont, they like everything about it, riding the hills, sand, creek, vendors row, food, camping & roasting marshmellows and for Thanksgiving there's nothing better than deep fried turkey. And everytime we go they meet new kids to play with and learn something new. Best of luck & have fun.
  21. A few years ago my husband wanted to buy a street bike so he saved and saved and I gave him the money I had saved to do patio work in the back yard just to make him happy and get him what he wanted. He was so excited so we ran right out got the bike. Well during the next few weeks his cousin comes over several times admiring the bike because by this time my husband has made several modifications, pipes, etc. So my husband being all trusting and all asks his cousin "would you like to ride it?" cousin happily excepts and reafirms "I used to ride all the time and I'll just go around the block" so hubby hands him the key and goes over gear ratio with him and off he goes....only to crash all the way across the street!! He didn't even make it 2 doors down.. Anyway he did pay for the damage which was $1100. And then a couple months after that he pulled out onto one of the busiest highways in Bakersfield (Taft Hwy) during 5:30pm traffic right into the path of a car going 65mph and got t-boned, totaled the truck and the other car but both drivers ok. Last summer he met us over at Pismo for some riding (he has a ATC 250) him and my husband and my 14 yr old son go riding and he attempts a steep hill after seeing my son go up no problem, so he thought anyway.. the front pulled up and he puts his foot down and the bike eats his leg and he's laying there in pain cursing at the bike and my son and husband are laughing because that is just his luck so my son gets on the Atc and they give the quad to the cousin to ride back and by now he is pissed at the bike and pissed that a 14 yr old had to show him how to ride his own bike up a hill and tell him never put your foot down! We now call him "Shleprock" or "Crash". And we don't let him behind the wheel of any of our cars or atvs.
  22. Wow not sure what happened there, I swear I didn't do it on purpose. My husband actually started carrying his camera with him all the time now just for that reason. You never know when you might see that "kodak moment".
