  1. State farm has no problem insuring my dirtbikes.. I have titles but they arent in my name beacuse nv dmv just dont work like that for atv's THey just ask for a vin and MSRP and all set and done.

State Farm agent wasn't able to explain their coverage for atvs/rails, said they will pay a 'depreciation value' but she couldn't explain how they would determine what the depreciated value is :idiot:

and they only offer up to 20k coverage for sandrails  it didn't make any sense.

You happen to have a name of an agent who knows how their coverage works??

For the quads...so far Progressive is the cheapest, with the lowest deductable and offer coverage for accessories and damage is paid at actual cash value, have to find out how they determine a theft amount...but they don't insure sandrails. :MBdance: .

  2. well where is the tittle? Does it have 1 at all?.. maybe time to register it in az and get 1 for it... My insurance came in real nice when I needed it.

    Capt

I was just saying for anyone else who might be interested in this company you have to have the title in your name.....if you have it financed then you are not the titled owner :laughoff: .

We were also looking for better quad insurance, would have been more convenient to have everything through the same company, but I don't have the title to 1 of my quads since it is financed.

Who are you using?? Will have to chat about it when we see you. :old:

  3. I believe foremost insurance will go to at least 30 k and I think they may have moved the $ amount to $50k

They do not provide insurance unless you have a title. :old:

"Thank you for your interest in a Foremost off-road vehicle policy from Foremost Insurance company. We're sorry, we do not insure this type of off-road vehicle because:

    7. We do not provide insurance to someone other than the titled owner of the vehicle."

  4. Jodi posted about it in May, said it was terrible.

We went after that, but everyone in our camp went through Kanab. I think most people have given up trying to take that road. Its well worth going through Kanab and doesn't really add much more time on the drive. The only rigs we saw coming in from that side were trucks not towing and trucks with flatbed trailers, didn't see any haulers going that way.

  5. Have you looked into registering/titling in CA??

I think you may run into trouble with that, over on GD.com there was an interesting thread about titling the 70's, but I can't get onto GD.com right now to find it. The issue seems to be with the "Evidence of Ownership".

But here is the CA info...

    http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/brochures/howto/htvr19.htm

If you purchased an OHV that has never been registered in California from anyone other than a California dealer, you will need:

--An Application for Title or Registration (REG 343).

--A vehicle verification by an authorized DMV employee or law enforcement officer, vehicle verifier, or authorized auto club employee.

--Evidence of ownership, which may be:

=The Manufacturer’s Certification of Origin endorsed to the nonlicensed dealer and any bills of sale needed to establish a complete chain of ownership to you.

=An original or certified copy of the factory invoice to the nonlicensed dealer and any bills of sale needed to establish a complete chain of ownership to you.

=Out-of-state titling documents and any bills of sale needed to establish a complete chain of ownership to you.

=OHV fees and use tax, if due.

Worth giving them a call though. :dayum:

  6. The 2009 Nevada Legislature passed Senate Bill 394 that requires registration and titling of off-highway vehicles if certain conditions are met. SB 394 sets up a revolving account to help fund the DMV's startup costs.

If the revolving fund reaches $500,000 by July 1, 2011, the Interim Finance Committee will notify the DMV. Registration and titling of off-highway vehicles will begin 1 year later. If the revolving fund does not reach $500,000 by 7/1/11, the changes to the statutes expire and the program will not be implemented.

SB 394 also requires the Governor to form a new Commission on Off-Highway Vehicles by July 1, 2010.

  7. All I can say is Damn.................. :stir: :laughoff:

:beerpint: It's a joke...Wingnut, Capt, Joe, OGP and me have been trying to talk Sand~Snake into buying a new rail, but he is not ready yet.

Maybe if OGP likes this one better than the Bud Light car he will make us a deal  .

  8. :coffee:

You wouldn't have bought it anyway :driver::think:

I told you about it as well. TWO weeks ago! If you quit over ANULizing everything and pulled the trigger, you could buy some good deals too!!!!!:beerpint:

I told him about it when it was posted on Dunebuggy.com, don't remember the price though...BUT I was told to stop looking for cars :MBdance:

    :laughoff: Congrats to OGP :laughoff:

  9. :MBdance::blah::blah: to everyone who keeps talking about the F**CKING trash issue on THIS thread. Wanna talk about the trash issue, here ya go, b*tch away! http://www.dumontduneriders.com/invision/i...?showtopic=2115

Sorry for being an A-Hole but it would be nice to have a positive thread about all the good things that happened. Like people having a great time and knowing how great it is to still have a place to dune at anytime they want.

Be careful linking an old thread about a trash discussion that is not related to this trip in this thread or you might get personally attacked. The directions from the admin is to start a separate thread.

I'd figured why not put all the trash talk in the very 1st original trash thread  but that wasn't taken to kindly.

There are even threads before a trip reminding everyone to pick up after themselves and trying to organize a group to do a clean up before leaving on Sunday....

    http://www.dumontduneriders.com/invision/i...ic=6249&hl=

Well we went to Comp that morning and not a lot of people showed up and there was a significant amount of trash. Trash has always been an issue and a topic of discussion, but it never seems to change :dunno: .

  10. On our to-do list

    - replace all of the gas lines/hoses before the season

    - replace the valves on the black/gray tanks and a cracked water line

    - reseal the roof after we fix the front cap

    - sanitize all the water lines and tanks

One thing our neighbor showed us last year was the water heater anode rod, keeps the tank from rotting from the inside out. Camping World carries the replacements and a cleaning accessory to get all the gunk out of the water heater.

  11. Don't know if they are still in business.

Will have to stop by and chat with them sometime. Found their site...

If jim wants to drop his YFZ off for a day I could get it all dialed in.I dont work on SLOWzukis :DDRrocks::thumb:

Thanks, my slowzuki runs just fine :ogp: just looking to map it, but I have to install everything and figure out how it works first. I'll start a slowzuki thread if I need help :mc: .

We will get with you about bringing the YFZ by for you to work your magic on :broke: . I ran it on the hill a few times and didn't have any problems, I think its the rider :ninja: .

  12. Send the Yosh back and they will do the packing for free, maybe HMF has a similar service. I wouldent waste money on a dyno for the YFZ or LTR unless you have major motor mods, they are very expensive.

If you in socal i know someone who will do it for free.

Let us know what you added to bothh bikes and maybe we can help with the mods, I have had a few YFZ's and a LTR and never had them dynoed tuned and they worked great.

Thanks, but according to Yoshi the free packing is for people who are sponsored by them :broke: I read the same on another forum, but if you have the hook up for free service then send it this way :thumb: .

    http://www.yoshimura-rd.com/t-engine_servi...?imsec=services

HMF also has a service to repack the exhausts, it is $35 plus shipping, but you have to have proof of purchase and be under warranty for them to do it.

    http://hmfracing.com/repair-services

Also, we are looking for someone local (Las Vegas/Henderson) to avoid the down time of shipping both ways.

We wouldn't mind spending a little to have them tuned and running properly now instead of if/when something breaks.

The YFZ is having some issues that we are not able to figure out and are to the point where we would like an expert (or Aaron) to get it all squared away.

Its an 05 with the cam mod, full Yoshi RS5 exhaust, K&N intake & no lid, jetted at 175 main 45 pilot 4th clip on needle 2.5 turns on fuel screw and 'o-ring/zip tie mod' on the accel. pump.

It has enough power, just doesn't want to stay running, backfiring, bogging, dying... :laughoff:

Have spent a lot of time on the YFZ forums and chatting with Mineurbiz and Sand700R.

For the LTR, I'd just like a custom map. It is an 07 with a slip on HMF, K&N intake & no lid, Yoshi cherry bomb, PCIII. I have not installed the HMF or the PCIII. It seemed to be running a little lean with stock pipe baffle out, K&N intake w/no lid, cherry bomb.

I'm going to try different gearing and tires for a better power range, 3rd is strong and 4th bogs on any hill.

Thanks for the input :DDRrocks: .

    Any other suggestions are welcome.

  13. The convention industry is very slow also and have not seen it picking up at all yet.

:idiot: Makes for some long nights in dispatch with them not moving in/out 24hrs due to the shows being smaller. But they need me here regardless if the building is full or empty :beercheers: .

  14. Get over it!

The nasti-ness is not really becoming.

You can stop fretting Jill, it has been resolved in PM's and is no longer an issue, simply a misunderstanding and some summer time blues.

But thanks for your opinion :D

Jodi, thanks for the helpful post and it is ok about the misunderstanding :beercheers: . Maybe an admin/mod can compile all the helpful tip into one bada$$ sticky thread  .
