Anna and I went to the Helldorado parade downtown Saturday night. Similar to that what Tim posted in that Red Friday thread, I was glad to see the amount of applause and respect that the police and firemen were given as they made there way through the parade. Here are a few pics from my pos camera phone. We had some pretty decent seats- tailgate of my Z71 from the 3rd floor on a parking garage!

I too appreciate everthing our troops do for our country. I think it's great that Americans these days are still very appreciative and show such respect for our soldiers.

SO after some talk a while back in this thread---> click, I think a dune pic of the month would be a cool idea to keep things new over the summer. So with that said...LET'S DO ONE! We have to make some "rules" I guess 1st: 1. The picture must be YOURS. Do not go surfing the internet looking for one to submit. You cannot post any copyrighted pics. Let's just try and be honest about it. (We aren't gonna get that serious about this anyways) 2. The picture must not have any watermarks or logos on it. 3. The picture must be at least 600 pixels wide. It will be displayed on the home page if it wins the most votes so therefore we would like it to be a decent size picture. 4. The picture must abide by the terms and conditions (rules) of this board. No trashy women in skimpy bikinis posing on a rail or something. (I know...."booooo" ) 5. Post only ONE picture per contest. ok, now for the fun part of it. The picture can be anything DUNE related. It can be a nice sunset, a wheeling sandrail, your favorite still shot of your bike, rail, truck, camp, friends, rv, etc. As long as it has to do with the dunes, let's see it. The winner's picture will be posted on the homepage after the contest is over. The member's screen name will be posted up with it as well. That is the prize so don't expect anything more than thator take it that serious like some have in the past with the rides of the month contests. It's kinda close to the end of the month, so I guess we'll take pics up untill maybe the end of this month, then we'll take the 1st week in June to vote on them. So let's see em. :gayboy:

I think a stage and some live music/ bands would be best. Other than that...pool tables and some nice couches and chairs for a lounging area with TV's would be the next best.

Why can't you just take your trash home with you? In my opinion, we are already set with Dumont how it is. Sorry, I'm just tired of people saying that we NEED trash cans/ dumpsters in the dunes. Does everyone really have that much trash at the end of a weekend out there? If so, maybe you should rethink your ways. PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT
