I have your back on this SteveO, my 05 6.0 pulls my 7500lb 5thwheel fine, with 16500 miles and no problems. All I did was intake and free flow muffler for better milage and lower EGT's. I went from a 01 2500 silverado 8.1 L Vortec that must have been built on a friday @ just about closing time to the 6.0 PSD and will never go back to the Blowtie....

Shoulda tried the DMax. I love mine. I'm not trying to start a Ford vs Chevy war cause I think Steveo's truck runs good too. I don't see a problem w/ that 6.0. Just never been a Ford guy.

Whatever happened- we know one or more died and another got seriously injured. Very tragic indeed.

I want to know why these guys weren't buckled in?

My condolences to the family and friends of these people. Just another reminder how safe we need to be out there in the dunes. Very sad.

Here's a rail we came across Saturday (early morning) near the north pole... Driver and rider took one hell of a roll over... This thing was twisted busted and then some... I just hope they walked away with very little injuries.

PaulyPaul just told me his friend came across a rail near the n pole Fri Night. There was nobody around the car, but the eng was still warm. He started back to camp with his group and saw a flashlight wave in the bottom of a bowl. It was the driver and his son. They got a ride back to camp and he asked Paul's friend if he could just leave the car there. He didn't want to have anything to do w/ the car cause he almost killed his son. So he just GAVE the car to this guy PaulyPaul knows. From what I understand, they were ok though.

You guys might be embarassed to have a tent pitched amongst all those pretty Toy Haulers!

We're kinda low budget, water and MRE's for the trip, those Bombs are expensive.

Well either way, your welcome over with us if you'd like. Me or my toyhauler is by NO MEANS the opposite of low budget. I'm not gonna be embarrassed by a tent. Dumont aint a fashion show to me.

I think eceyone is gonna camp in their usual spots on New Years. We'll prob only have a DDR only camp on some off-weekends. You're welcome to camp w/ our group. Get in touch w/ me if you want directions to where we camp.

Yeah he was there. When you headed back with a flat Chuck took off and JOE, Me, YNOT and alot of other people followed him out thru the dunes.

Not too bad, but we took that f*cker down about 4-5 oclock on Sat. Didn't wanna chance it. It started dancin around in the wind quite a bit.

Joe I don't think that car was there on the DDR ride. You sure? I don't remember it...?

I posted these on our old forum a while back, but some of you might not have gotten a chance to see em...

It was mt buddies friend that went up the far right side of comp when he went to turn around, something snapped and the truck stopped sideways on the hill. Him and his wife then braced and tucked as low down in the truck as possible, then it began to roll. It must have rolled 6-10 times down the hill. Ben (the driver) said he thought it was never gonna stop. The truck had NO CAGE either. Luckily him, his wife, and their dog were ok. Im sure that dog went on a hell of a ride. Luckily they escaped with pretty minor injuries. He banged up his shoulder and she hurt her elbow a bit, but nothing major. We dragged it back to camp and we loaded it up on a friend of their's trailer. Here's the pics I took...(sorry it was at night-not the best pics)

Yep I agree Happyhour, hope that fool learns his lesson. It's one thing to make a mistake, but to run from the scene even after doing such damage! Here's to that effer...

BTW, its cool Bob. Saturday was a MESS!! We'll meet-up one of these next few trips!

Henderson Convention center IS on Water street. I haven't heard of that show though Joe. I though they were were playing the Fiest hotel on Rancho.....?
