  1. I received an e-mail from a guy who unfortunately lost his 2 wheeler on the way home from dumont. :( If anybody knows about this bike please help him get it back.

    Here is his e-mail:

hi there my name is paul i just got home from dumont last night without a bike as my friend had placed my bike on the side of my truck with a tie down and as it was so crazy windy on Saturday i didn't see the bike as i raced into the cab, well i took off and the bike must of fell off somewhere as i couldn't find it, someone out there found my bike and didn't turn it in to the rangers so if there is anything you could do ,maybe to post a notice on your site,,it was a 04 all black cr250 with gold excel rims please contact paul @ 702 591 8040 thanks so much
  2. So does anybody else know of any services in Baker for jjlorme?

We are looking at going out to Dumont for the first time on Dec. 26 til the 1st. Is there any service like they have at Glamis that comes out and will dump your tanks and fill your fresh water? We will have 2 other families with us and are trying to figure out the best course other than buying external tanks and trucking into baker mid-week

    ^^^^

Let's not forget what the topic was here.

  3. Sounds good, ynot. I was gonna help be part of the FODD cleanup anyways, but I was thinking of maybe having the DDR trip not only be a clean-up trip, but a big DDR get-together where we could all camp together and make it a big yearly thing. :flipoff::chat::drinkbeer::rockon::rockwoot:

We can talk more later about the FODD cleanup trip where DDR gets involved to help. :thumb:

  4. I was gonna plan on our own DDR Dumont cleanup trip sometime maybe in January, but then I broke mt damn arms and I don't know when I will be 100%. I still might try an organize & partially fund our own cleanup trip though. I'll keep everybody posted. :headbang:

  5. hey pete-any new news on our friend at the campsite?I hope she is okay.

Oh yeah forgot. Jim told me today that she (Dorie) broke her arm near her elbow and her tailbone too! :thumb: :headbang: Sucks bad for her. I hope she gets better soon, but unfortunatley she is gonna be out for a while I think. The worst part about it was she just started a new job and yep, NO INSURANCE! That ride from Dumont to the hospital is gonna be a pretty penny. :( I thought I had it bad w/ 2 broken wrists.

  6. Sweet video  Aaron, it seems like whoever had the left lane got the win. The bottom of the hill looks a bit curved, would that have something to do w/ it? Maybe just an optical illusion. Either way, your s*it's FAST. Sucks about that clutch. I'd fire that mechanic of yours! :thumb: I heard that guy who put it in didn't know what he was doing. :headbang: j/k

  7. I went w/ a ShortSandCar cause it was for sale in the local classifieds. I fell in love with it and couldn't pass it up for the price. If I didn't buy that car, it would probably still be a Short anyways. I like Tom Pro's cars too, but if I were to buy a car brand new, ShortSandCar. Their reverse box has a limited slip diff in it which allows for cutting brakes :headbang: . Beside, Larry was the original m/c powered rail builder back in the 80's. He knows how to build those things the best if you ask me. Just my .02 :thumb:

  8. Sunday morning as we began to clean up camp, we noticed all this trash left at the camp next to us. I just don't get it. Don't people understand that if everybody left their trash behind like this, the dunes wouldn't be open to ride and camp in? Not to mention what a pig sty Dumont would be. :thumb: There was everything from beer cans all over, a GLASS wine bottle, a big GLASS tequilla bottle, GLASS beer bottles, a DelTaco burrito and wrapper, trash bags FULL of trash, and all kinds of sh*t. To those who camped there next to us, if you see this.... :headbang: Pick up your sh*t!

Remember???? PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT! and NO GLASS CONTAINERS!

  10. It was nice meeting all of you who showed up for the ride. :headbang: DDR ride was fun despite that damn wind! Sucks that I got a flat, but we probably couldn't ride much longer w/ that wind gettin crazy. Pauly Paul did a good job cruisin me around the dunes. Not bad for never driving my car before. Hope you all enjoyed meeting up, lets definetly do it again. :thumb:

  11. TDAY weekend was fun. Despite having 2 broken wrists, I still had fun. :thumb: :headbang: The wind sucked on Saturday and Sat night though. It got pretty bad. The DDR ride was fun too despite the wind. No one got hurt in our crowd until the last couple hours before we left, a friend in our camp who hasn't ridden much got hurt on our friend's KFX700. She went over the finger dune (razor back) and I guess rolled it a few times. She was in a lot of pain (back or hip) so they took her by ambulance to a hospital in town (Vegas). Hopefully she is ok. Will know more by tomarrow.

I'll get some of my dune pics from the weekend up soon.

  12. what can i say i miss the place.. :D Plus i hear dumont its stupid packed over Prez weekend... adn i havent missed new years in glamis for quite some time... and i cant miss this year either... but there will be more dumont trips then just that ya spaz...

    :headbang:

    whatever :thumb:

  13. Dunefreak...how does a mini rail handle out at Dumont?..razors, sidehilling, stability? What engine you're running? Did you go on a run with Ryan's TT big block?

    razors, sidehilling, stability-------------> :headbang:

It handles awesome. I love it. The key word w/ this car is: AGILE!!!

Im running a 1300 Hayabusa. It screams. I ran Ryan before he put the turbos on his car and gave him a good run. We never had a good race though cause we never left the same time. I'm sure he'd probably beat me now that it's twin turboed. I went for a ride in TTrex this last weekend. :thumb: FAST!

  14. :mc_smiley: Yeah no sh*t. Those winds were brutal Sat night. I forgot to close my door on my toyhauler when we when on the DDR ride too. :mc_smiley: Needless to say, that thing was FULL O SAND!! :mc_smiley: Ahh whataver, gotta love it.

Sorry can't help you clean your ytoyhauler, I already gotta clean mine w/ 2 broken arms. :headbang: :beercheers::cripple:
